After teasing fans, Iron Maiden have revealed an animated music video for their brand new single "The Writing On The Wall". The visual was made in collaboration with Mark Andrews & Andrew Gordon who are Award-winning former Pixar executives and long-standing Maiden fans and animation studio BlinkInk.

The new song, their first new music in six years, was writing by frontman Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith, and coproduced by bassist Steve Harris and longtime producer Kevin Shirley. (read more)


(hennemusic) The Foo Fighters have announced that they have been forced to postponed their July 17th concert at The Forum in Los Angeles, after a member of their "organization" has tested positive for Covid-19.

"Despite having made every effort to follow CDC Covid protocols and local laws, there has been a confirmed Covid-19 case within the Foo Fighters organization," says the band. (read more)


(hennemusic) Tesla have announced a series of new dates for their 2021 Let's Get Real! tour. Set to open in Grants Pass, Or on August 5, the trek has been expanded following schedule updates for headline dates and appearances with Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The 2021 run now includes a mix of newly-revealed headline shows, festival gigs, and opening slots with Kid Rock, Styx....with more events to be announced. (read more)


Judas Priest have announced that they are celebrating their 50th anniversary with the release of a limited edition career spanning box set on October 15th.

The special 42 CD collection will include every official live and studio album that the legendary band has released to date, along with 13 unreleased discs. (read more)


Staind frontman Aaron Lewis has claimed the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Song Sales charts with his new solo single "Am I The Only One".

The track also came in at No. 14 on the all genre Billboard Hot 100 chart and claimed the No. 2 spot on the Digital Song Sales with first-week sales of 59,300 copies. (read more)


NEEDTOBREATHE have released a new single called "Carry Me", which is a collaboration with their longtime friend, Switchfoot frontman Jon Foreman.

The track follows the band's collaboration with Carrie Underwood, "I Wanna Remember." Both tracks come from their forthcoming album, "Into The Mystery", which is set to be released on July 30th. (read more and stream the song)


Cleopatra Records have announced that they will be releasing Megadeth's "Unplugged In Boston" for the very first time on August 20th in multiple formats.

The album will mark the very first time in 20 years that the band's rare 2001 intimate, scaled-down performance in Boston, Ma will be released commercially. (read more)


UMC/UMe have announced that they are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Rory Gallagher's eponymous 1971 debut solo album, by releasing a special box set.

The five-disc Deluxe Box Set will be hitting stores on September 3rd and will include a brand-new mix of the original album, as well as 30 previously unreleased outtakes and alternate takes. (read more)


Cinderella guitarist Jeff LaBar has passed away. The sad news was revealed via social media by his son, Sebastian. A cause of death has not been revealed. He was 58 years old.

Sebastian wrote in a social media post, "So i just got the call... Jeff LaBar, my father, my hero, my idol, passed away today. I'm currently at a loss for words. I love you pop!" (read more)

The May 14, 1991 production mix is featured on the 2CD "Rough & Alternate Mixes" included in the Remastered Deluxe Box Set of The Black Album. (read more)


The Cold Stares just premiered their new single and video for the track "Prosecution Blues" from their forthcoming album "Heavy Shoes", and to celebrate we asked Chris Tapp to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

Knowing we would be doing the record at Sam Phillips Studio in Memphis, I had a few tracks in mind for the record that I thought would specifically work there. "In The Night Time", and "Prosecution Blues" were two of those. We cut the track live, if I remember correctly keeping the first pass. (read more)
