(hennemusic) Guns N' Roses have postponed a series of concert dates in Mexico planned for October. The band were scheduled to play three shows in the country, including an October 7 appearance in Guadalajara, an October 9 gig in Merida, and an October 12 stop in Monterrey.

"Gunners, due to government shut down of large gatherings and Covid restrictions, our October 2021 dates in Mexico will need to be rescheduled to next year," announced the group on social media. "We are currently working on a routing and will update you all as soon as possible. Please keep hold of your tickets, they will be valid for the new dates in 2022." (read more)


Placebo have released their first new single in five years, entitled "Beautiful James" and the track is just the first of the new music that the band promises is on the way.

According to the announcement the new song arrives "finding itself born into a world that is as divided as it has ever been. Against the backdrop of splintering global relations, unchallenged online abuse and widespread fear among the narrow-minded of what they cannot understand, 'Beautiful James' brings with it a message of defiance that seeks to normalize and celebrate non-heteronormative relationships in song." (hennemusic) Foo Fighters founder Dave Grohl is sharing a preview to forthcoming memoir, "The Storyteller." Due October 5 via Dey Street Books., the project sees the lifelong rocker sharing moments from his life story - from childhood through his time with the Washington, DC punk band Scream, the global success and downfall of Nirvana, starting anew with Foo Fighters, and recording and performing alongside music icons through the years.

"I've never been on to collect 'stuff,' but I do collect 'moments," explains Grohl. "My life flashes before my eyes every single day, and in writing this book I tried to capture those moments as best I can. (read more)


(hennemusic) Motorhead have released a newly-upgraded video for their 2004 track, "Whorehouse Blues." "The video of 'Whorehouse Blues' from 'Inferno' had been feared lost for many years," says the band, "but we've managed to locate a copy and get it upgraded to 4K HD."

The tune originally appeared as the closing track to the group's 17th studio record, which features the line-up of Lemmy, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee and was produced by Cameron Webb. (read more)


Insomnium celebrated the releasing of their new EP "Argent Moon" today (September 17th) by sharing a music video for their brand new single "The Wanderer".

(hennemusic) The Tragically Hip are sharing a previously-unreleased alternate version of "Fiddler's Green" as the first preview to a series of expanded 30th anniversary reissues of their 1991 album, "Road Apples."

"We're humbled to present the Alternate Version of "Fiddler's Green"," says the band. "A haunting early take as recorded with Rob Baker on acoustic guitar and Gord Downie on vocals." (read more)


NYC rockers VRSTY have premiered a music video for their brand new single "Sick". The track comes from their Spinefarm Records debut, "Welcome Home", which is set to hit stores on November 19th.

Vocalist Joey Varela had this to say, "I must be cursed to repeat cycles because 'Sick,' much like 'Shameless' from our EP, was the very last song written for the release." (read more)


Music icon John McCutcheon just released his new album "Bucket List", and to celebrate we asked him to tell us about the title track to the record. Here is the story:

I came home from an Australia tour in mid-March 2020 to a very different country than I had left a month earlier. As I'd been overseas for that long and had ridden in a plane for the previous 24 hours, I thought the only responsible thing to do was to self-quarantine and spare my diabetic wife and my 90-year-old live-in mother-in-law. We have a little log cabin in the north Georgia mountains, so my faithful hound, Maybelle, and I repaired there for the following few weeks. (continue)


John 5 have shared a music video for his brand new single "Que Pasa" that features guest vocals from legendary Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine.

The track comes from John 5's forthcoming solo album, which will be entitled "Sinner" and will be unleased just in time for Halloween on October 29th. (read more)


Thrash metal veterans Exodus have shared a lyric video for their new song "Clickbait". The track is the second single from their forthcoming studio album.

The new record, the band's eleventh studio effort, will be entitled "Persona Non Grata" and is scheduled to be release by Nuclear Blast Records on November 19th. (read more)


Ozzy Osbourne has announced that he will be celebrating his birthday (December 3rd) with the release of a special 10" black vinyl single featuring three versions of the song "Hellraiser".

A newly revealed due with the song's cowriter Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead fame is featured on the brand new 30th anniversary digital release of Ozzy's classic "No More Tears" album. (read more)


Kiefer Sutherland has announced that he will release his third album "Bloor Street" on January 21st and had revealed dates for a UK and European tour to support the effort.

He had this to say about the new record, "Writing and recording this album was a unique experience given the pandemic and subsequent restrictions that followed. I found myself, like so many, with a block of time that I had never been afforded before, which allowed me to not only reflect upon my life but also to write about it. (read more)


Bring Me The Horizon have released a music video for their brand new single "DiE4u", which is billed as "part of the second phase of the POST HUMAN EP campaign."

The track was recorded during the pandemic lockdown while frontman Oli Sykes was stuck in Brazil and Jordan in the UK. The video was directed and shot by Oli in Kiev. (read more)


The Pretty Reckless have shared a video for an acoustic version of their hit single "Only Love Can Save Me Now", a track from their latest album "Death By Rock And Roll."

Vocalist Taylor Momsen had this to say about the stripped down version, "It's always tricky to do an acoustic version of songs that rely heavily on guitar riffs." (read more)


Metallica played a special intimate hometown concert on Thursday night (September 16) at the 500-capacity The Independent in San Francisco, which was announced at the last minute.

The band shared the news via social media, "Hey! Gonna let you in on a little secret, "We're playing tonight at The Independent in downtown SF. Grab a $20 bill and get your ass to the box office right now! Proof of vaxx is required to get a wristband and it's gonna sell out fast. One ticket per person, cash only!" (read more)

So this is the oldest song on the record. I wrote this 27 years ago when my first daughter (Julie ) was born as a gift for her and my wife. We lived in a small Greenwich village apartment on the corner of 12th and 5th. It was our first baby. We had no idea what we were doing, or how we would deal with me being on the road etc etc. But I was soooo excited about having her, I had to write something. (continue)
