Alan Jackson revealed during an interview on The Today Show that he has been living with a rare hereditary degenerative nerve condition called "CMT" (Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disorder) that is impacting his ability to tour and perform. UMG Nashville shared the following details with us:

"I've been reluctant to talk about this publicly and to my fans, but I have this neuropathy - a neurological disease that's genetic that I inherited from my daddy," Jackson shares. "There's no cure for it, but it's been affecting me for years. And it's getting more and more obvious." (read more)


NEEDTOBREATHE have announced that fans will be able to witness their upcoming concert at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville via a special livestream via Veeps.

The special online event will be streamed live from the band's October 29th concert in Nashville that is part of their current Into The Mystery Tour (read more)


Dance Gavin Dance have announced that drummer and co-founder Matthew Mingus is leaving the group's current tour so that he can seek treatment for "substance use issues", after he was unable to finish a concert in Detroit this past weekend.

The band had to enlist their drum tech to finish their Detroit concert on Saturday after Mingus was not able to get through the entire show. The group shared the following update, "Following the events that occurred at our Detroit show on Saturday, we wanted to share some further info with our fans. Matt is unfortunately battling with substance use issues." (read more)


Converge have released a music video for their new single "Blood Moon", which is the first song revealed from their forthcoming collaborative album "Bloodmoon I".

The album is set to be released on November 19th and it sees the band teaming up with Chelsea Wolfe, Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, Converge), and Ben Chisholm (Chelsea Wolfe). (read more)


Brett Young is giving fans a little taste of his very first Christmas album with the release of a lyric video for the first single "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", which features Sam Fischer.

The album, entitled "Brett Young & Friends Sing The Christmas Classics", is set to hit stores on October 22nd and will feature collaborations with Colbie Caillat, Dann Huff, Darius Rucker, Maddie & Tae, Chris Tomlin and Phil Wickham. (read more)


Foreigner's iconic ballad "Waiting For A Girl Like You" was originally released on October 1st, 1981 and the 40th anniversary of the track is being celebrated tomorrow night (September 29th) on the hit ABC sitcom The Goldbergs.

Mick Jones had this to say, " 'Waiting For A Girl Like You' was always a special song for me as it commemorates the birth of my son Christopher (who I thought was going to be a girl!). I'm so pleased that The Goldbergs production team have chosen to introduce the song to their terrific audience." (read more)


Swallow The Sun will be celebrating their new album by hitting the road for their Moonflowers Tour 2021 that will feature support from Abigail Williams and Wilderun.

The band is releasing their new album "Moonflowers" on November 19th and the next night they will kick off the supporting tour in Mesa, AZ at the Nile Theater. (read more)


New Zealand-based group French For Rabbits just released the video for their new single "The Outsider" and to celebrate we asked vocalist Brooke Singer to tell us about the track, which comes from their forthcoming album "The Overflow". Here is the story:

I wrote the Outsider in the USA in 2019 with Marc Orrell (the Dropkick Murphies) and Brooke Johnson. Previously much of my songwriting has been solo or with close collaborators but I started delving into the world of co-writing and found it to be inspiring. (continue)


Love By Numb3rs have released a music video for their new single "Colours." The song is the title track to the group's forthcoming EP, which is set for release on November 19th. first single from their upcoming six-song EP COLOURS. Look for the EP to be released November 19

Anna Lombard co-wrote the song with bandmate Dan Connor and had this to say, "It's definitely inspired by r&b/soul music of the sixties and early seventies. It is real. It is emotive. (hennemusic) Judas Priest have postponed the remainder of their current North American tour after guitarist Richie Faulkner was hospitalized with a medical condition.

"It is with deep regret that we have to postpone the rest of our US Tour," says the band, "Richie has major medical heart condition issues which have landed him in hospital where he is being treated - in the meantime we are all sending love to our Falcon to wish him a speedy recovery... Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth has announced that he will be returning to Las Vegas to launch a new series of residency dates that will include five shows.

The shows will once again be taking place at the Mandalay Bay's House Of Blues in Las Vegas and Roth will be kicking things off with a New Year's Eve performance. (read more)


(hennemusic) The Rolling Stones dedicated their No Filter US Tour to late drummer Charlie Watts during an emotional opening night in St. Louis, MO on September 26.

The evening began with a video tribute to Watts - who passed away on August 24 at the age of 80 - before they took the stage at the Dome at America's Center for the show-opener, "Street Fighting Man", with Charlie's friend and hand-picked stand-in, Steve Jordan, on drums. (read more)


The short-lived group The Bootheels (Luther Russell, Jakob Dylan, Tobi Miller and Aaron A. Brooks) just released their new collection "1988: The Original Demos" and to celebrate we asked Luther to tell us about the song "Interstate 68 Blues". Here is the story:

All of the songs on "1988: The Original Demos" by The Bootheels are among the first I ever wrote for a real band. I was seventeen and had been through some recent upheavals that shook me to the core, not in the least of which was the death of a very close friend of mine. He was older than me, a brother of a school friend and one whom I befriended based on a mutual love of rock and roll music. (continue)


(hennemusic) Metallica performed their self-titled 1991 record - aka The Black Album - in its entirety during a September 26 appearance at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, KY and fan filmed video has been shared online.

After opening the show with 2016's "Hardwired" and a pair of classic tracks, the band launched into a full version of the album in reverse order - beginning with the rarely-played "The Struggle Within" and "My Friend Of Misery", and eventually closing out their regular set with "Enter Sandman" before returning for encores. (hennemusic) Judas Priest were joined by Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett for a performance of the Fleetwood Mac classic, "The Green Manalishi (With the Two Prong Crown)", at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, KY on September 26.

Judas Priest - who famously covered the tune on their 1979 album, "Hell Bent For Leather" - appeared just prior to Metallica's headlining set on the closing day of the weekend event. (read more)


(hennemusic) Guns N' Roses performed the live debut of their newly-released single, "Hard Skool", during a September 26 concert in Baltimore, MD, and fan-filmed video from the show has surfaced online.

"This is something about lower education," Axl Rose told the crowd at the city's Royal Farms Arena before the group launched into the song, which dates back to sessions for 2008's "Chinese Democracy." (read more)


Pierce the Veil frontman Vic Fuentes has shared video of special zoom meeting that he had with a fan that has terminal brain cancer, which was organized by Living The Dream Foundation.

Vic is the chairman of the origination that has the goal of helping children and young adults living with life-threatening illnesses understand and embrace the powerful message of truly "living the dream" each day. (read more)
