Pasadena Media has shared a video of the unveiling of the Eddie Van Halen hometown plaque dedication event that took place back on October 11th.

The plaque was placed on a wall outside of the Pasadena Civic Auditorium honoring the late Van Halen legend was unveiled during a ceremony that was not open to the public because of Covid-19 protocols. (read more)


(hennemusic) Sammy Hagar and The Circle have announced dates for a mini-tour of Texas. The four-show "A Toast To Texas" series this December will see the band perform in Forth Worth, San Antonio, Austin and Houston.

"We chose cool, smaller venues on this tour so we could throw a party like we do in Cabo," explains Hagar. "We'll be back next summer with the big rock shows, this is a party we're throwing just for Texas." (read more)


The Allman Family Revival has added a special New Year's Eve show to their plans, and organizers also announced additional artists to their touring lineup in select markets.

The tour is a celebration of the life and music of Gregg Allman, and the newly added New Year's Eve show will be taking place in Macon, Georgia at the Macon City Auditorium and will feature Cody Dickinson, Luther Dickinson, Jimmy Hall, Robert Randolph, and Samantha Fish. (read more)


Of Mice & Men have released a music video for their new single "Fighting Gravity", which comes from their just announced forthcoming album, "Echo".

Aaron Pauley had this to say about the track, "Fighting Gravity is about learning to let go, while also recognizing the impermanence and shortness of life. We think we're in control of so much, but we're really not, and that existential dilemma is at the foundation of the human condition." (read more)


Eric Church has released a music video for his latest single "Heart On Fire" where he takes fans on a trip down memory lane of his past hits. The song comes from his triple album "Heart & Soul" and as we previously reported features a nod to Guns N' Roses.

According to the announcement the reflective video "offers a high-octane sizzle reel of Church's hit-filled journey to date, as each reminiscent clip flows naturally from one to the next, connected by the same common threads: passion, contemplation and a reverence for live music. (read more)


(hennemusic) Queen will re-release their 2015 vinyl box set, "The Studio Collection", on November 12. Due to overwhelming fan demand, the package - which completely sold out in its original run - has been re-manufactured in limited quantities for the 2021 reissue.

The 18LP half-speed 180 gram colored vinyl box set features all 15 of the band's studio records - from their self-titled 1973 debut to 1995's "Made In Heaven" - remastered by Bob Ludwig from their original master tapes. (read more)


Rick Wakeman has announced several of the rescheduled U.S. dates for his The Even Grumpier Old Rock Star Tour, which are now set to take place in February and March of next year.

The Yes legend announced earlier this month that he was pushing several dates for the trek until next year, and tickets for the original dates will be honored for the rescheduled shows. (read more)


(hennemusic) Queensryche drummer Scott Rockenfield has filed a lawsuit against his fellow co-founders of the band over a number of alleged issues, including his dismissal from the group while on parental leave.

As first reported by Metal Sludge, Rockenfield filed the legal action on October 11 in a Snohomish County Court in the state of Washington against guitarist Michael Wilton and bassist Eddie Jackson and both of their wives, in addition to Queensryche Holdings, LLC and Tri-Ryche Cooperation, Inc. among other related companies. Can't Swim have released a wrestling themed music video for their track "Set The Room Ablaze", which features Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo.

The song comes from their brand new album, "Change Of Plans", that is set to be released this Friday, October 22nd. Vocalist Chris LoPorto had this to say about the visual, "The video for 'Set the Room Ablaze' is 100% my favorite Can't Swim video. (read more)


Johnny Marr has released a trailer for his upcoming 'Live At The Crazy Face Factory' global livestream event that will be taking place on November 10th. We were sent the following details:

The intimate livestream event will see Johnny discuss his creative process, life in song writing, and a set of full-band live performances with music from across his prolific career. Premiering globally on Wednesday 10th November and available on-demand until Sunday 14th November (read more)


Elvie Shane's debut single "My Boy" has topped both the Mediabase/Country Aircheck Singles chart and Billboard's Country Airplay chart this week.

The track was cowritten by Shane, Russell Sutton, Nick Columbia and Lee Starr and will be included on Elvie's forthcoming album, "Backslider", which will be released on October 29th. (read more)


Country music legend Charley Pride will be honored on October 25th at the National Museum of African American Music with the RIAA Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Garth Brooks.

Charley's son, Dion, will accept the honor from the RIAA on behalf of his late father. RIAA Chairman & CEO, Mitch Glazier and COO Michele Ballantyne will be presenting a plague to not only Charlie's family but one to the Museum for their walls, as well. "Sometimes the greatest honor you can receive is being part of honoring someone else - this is an honor," says Brooks. (read more)


VRSTY have released a lyric video for their new single "Finesse" featuring Notions. The track comes from their forthcoming album, "Welcome Home", which is set to hit stores on November 19th.

Vocalist Joey Varela had this to say about working with Notions, "Over the years, I watched him develop into this incredible artist and I always told myself, 'The day I get to do a full length, he Absolutely needs to be on it' And here we are. Modern Error have released a music video for their brand new single "The Truest Blue" and announced that they will be releasing their new album, "Victim Of A Modern Age" digitally on January 21st.

Symphony X guitarist Michael Romeo has shared a short 27 second teaser clip for his forthcoming album, "War of the Worlds, Part II", which will be released under his just inked deal with InsideOut Music on February 4th, 2022.

The album is the follow-up to his 2018 effort, "War Of The Worlds, Part 1", and features the return of drummer John Macaluso and bassist John "JD" DeServio, along with Romeo first time working with Croatian singer Dino Jelusick. (read more)


Blacklite District (Kyle Pfeiffer) has released a music video for his new track "Gotta Get Outta Here", which is the lead single from his forthcoming album, "1990".

Dancing On Tables have released a music video for the newly remastered version of their single "Black", which will be included on their forthcoming "Play Play Play" EP that is set to be released on October 29th.

The Scottish alt-rockers had this to say, "'Black' is essentially a story about a friend of ours who went through a break up that completely crushed him. They weren't together anymore, but it seemed like his life was more dominated by them than ever. (read more)


Colorado-based heavy melodic rockers Fire Follows have released their latest track "Let Me Go", which is the fifth single released by the Chris Watt led group this year.

Chris had this to say, '"Let Me Go" is the newest hard-rock/nu-metal anthem from Fire Follows. Quite possibly their most dynamic song to date, the single features elements of rap/rock/nu-metal, and the prolific string/piano sections that help define the group's unique sound." (read more)


Charming Liars have reimagined the three songs from their "Sequence 2: The After" EP with a new music video called "The After." The clip was filmed in The Canyon with a full string section and breathes new life into the songs inspired by the loss of a loved one, "The Haunting," "Afterglow," and "Beautiful Roses".

They had this to say, "We've taken the challenge of making videos for entire EP's this year and we're really enjoyed the process. For the official video of The After, we wanted to do something extremely ambitious so we rearranged the 3 songs to perform them with some of the most talented string players in the world! The Shawn Owens Project Trio recently released their new album, "Jazz Hands II", and to celebrate we asked Shawn to tell us about the track "Indigo". Here is the story:

Indigo was written during a creative bout inspired by the pandemic that turned every performing artist's world on its head overnight. Within the span of a few weeks the slots in our calendars once populated by gigs and other activities turned empty and bleak. Performing artists were no longer able to do what they love - share their passion for the arts. Many of our friends dealt with not only direct effects of the disease, but indirect side effects such as depression and feelings of worthlessness. We are not able to control what is happening in the wide world, but we are able to shift our focus to matters that we can control. For us it was trying our hand at writing and recording an album of original jazz tunes. (continue)
