The Foo Fighters star in a brand new horror comedy called "Studio 666", which will be hitting over 2000 movie theaters in the U.S. on February 25th.

The film was directed by BJ McDonnell and aside from the The Foo's (Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee,) the film also stars Whitney Cummings, Leslie Grossman, Will Forte, Jenna Ortega and Jeff Garlin. (read more)


Danny Wimmer Presents has announced that the 10th edition of Welcome To Rockville will also mark the very first livestream for the festival promotor.

The stream will include scheduled performances from Slipknot, Disturbed, Rob Zombie, Mudvayne, Staind, Anthrax, Cypress Hill, Social Distortion and more and will be hosted by That Space Zebra Show's Bobby Schubenski, Terry Beez, Josh Balz and producer Jake Miller. (read more)


Marianas Trench frontman Josh Ramsay has announced that he will be releasing his new solo single "Lady Mine", which will feature a guest appearance from Nickelback's Chad Kroeger.

The song will be released on December 3rd and will be the lead single from Josh's forthcoming debut solo album, entitled "The Josh Ramsay Show", that will arrive early next year. (read more)


Incubus cofounder Dirk Lance's new band East Of June are helping Hoobastank celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album by sharing a live cover of "Crawling In The Dark" that features Hoobastank's Dan Estrin.

The band recruited Estrin to record the cover of the classic song during a live recording session at EastWest Studios in Los Angeles and the track has been released as a single to streaming platforms, along with a live video. (read more)


Johnny Marr has released a music video for his new single "Tenement Time". The track comes from his forthcoming, "Fever Dreams Pt 2" EP, which will arrive on December 17th.

He has this to say about the song, "That's the experience of growing up in the inner city as a little kid, running around being quite wild. This idea of "Forever, forever is mine" - it's about running around Ardwick, bunking into warehouses and getting chased. (read more)


Houston rockers Downfall 2012 have released a music video for a live performance of their cover of the classic Elton John hit song "I'm Still Standing".

They had this to say, "Days after the release of 'I'm Still Standing', we performed the song for the first time at Warehouse Live, one of our favorite Houston venues. (read more)


The 30th anniversary of Genesis' "We Can't Dance" album is being celebrated by the syndicated radio show In The Studio With Redbeard: The Stories Behind History's Greatest Rock Bands.

Redbeard had this to say, "On the eve of their 'Last Domino?' tour, their first North American concert tour in decades, Genesis triumvirate Mike Rutherford, Tony Banks, and Phil Collins reconvene here In the Studio for a classic rock interview to reprise the world premiere broadcast which I hosted and produced with them in November 1991 for We Can't Dance , an extremely deep opus which contains 'No Son of Mine', 'Jesus He Knows Me', 'I Can't Dance', the sleeper 'Way of the World', and two compelling Genesis Progressive Rock sagas, 'Driving the Last Spike' and the guilt-ridden 'Dreaming While You Sleep'. Post-Modern Connection recently released their "Clustered Umbrella" EP and to celebrate we asked lead singer and guitarist Tega to tell us about the single "In The Dark". Here is the story:

So first the initial idea for In The Dark came from hearing Wi-ing Wi-ing by HYUKOH. This was back in 2017. The moment I heard that song I knew I wanted to make a song with those chords. From there on it spiraled into a whole new creature. I started messing around with those classic Bossa Nova chords back in 2017 and the song started there. I showed Georges our lead guitarist and he wrote the progression for the chorus in one of our early composition sessions. It was his idea to have it half time which is such a cool contrast to the upbeat Bossa Nova groove of the verse. I wrote the bridge and the outro. I had initially wanted to make the ending similar to the ending in Hounds by The Districts but after playing it live a few times it never really fit right. (continue)
