Elton John has teamed up with Ed Sheeran for a brand new charity single entitled "Merry Christmas" and they have also shared a Jason Koenig-directed music video for the track.

The song was written by ED and Elton John and produced by Steve Mac and the video was - scripted by Jason Koenig, Jenny Koenig and Ed Sheeran and features cameos from British personalities such as Mr Blobby, Jonathan Ross, Big Narstie, Michael McIntyre and The Darkness. (read more)


Every Time I Die have shared the news with fans that frontman Keith Buckley is leaving their current tour to focus on his mental health, but the band will be carrying on with the final three stops of the trek.

They had this to say, "Mental Health is a real issue and when not treated has an impact on so many people. Keith needs to take this time to rest and prepare for the holiday shows and we wish him a quick recovery. (read more)


New Found Glory have shared a video for their track 'It Never Snows In Florida (Holiday Version)' to celebrate the release of their new Christmas album, "December's Here".

Guitarist Chad Gilbert had this to say, "I think since we grew up in south Florida we always had to overcompensate during Christmas time! We had no seasons. Just hot, then kind of warm, then that month and a half around December where the nights got chilly. (read more)


The Bronx have premiere the brand new music video for their track "Breaking News (Live)", which was directed by punk rock icon Tim Armstrong of Rancid fame.

Frontman Matt Caughthran had this to say,"What can you say about working with a legend like Tim Armstrong? As an artist and musician he is completely in a league of his own. (read more)


Marianas Trench frontman Josh Ramsay has released his new solo single "Lady Mine", which will feature a guest appearance from Nickelback's Chad Kroeger.

The track comes from Josh's forthcoming debut solo album, "The Josh Ramsay Show" that is set to be released early next year and apart from Kroeger, features guest appearances from JUNO and CCMA Award winner Dallas Smith, D.J. Sharkpocalypse, Fefe Dobson, Fionn, Ria Mae, Sara Ramsay, JUNO Award winner Serena Ryder, and Tyler Shaw. (read more)

Arena rock legends REO Speedwagon and Styx have announced that they will be teaming up for a coheadlining tour next summer that will feature support from Loveboy.

The Live & UnZoomed Tour is set to launch on May 31, 2022 in Grand Rapids, MI at the Van Andel Arena and will wrap up on August 21st in Wantagh, NY at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater. (read more)


(hennemusic) ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons is sharing an animated video for his new holiday single, "Jingle Bell Blues." Recorded in Nashville, TN this past June, the tune sees the rocker joined by bassist Mike Fiorentino and drummer Miles McPherson for a bluesy take on the Christmas classic.

"The animators put me in a hot rod that looks suspiciously like our very own '34 Ford-based 'Whiskey Runner' though they've made some few seasonal adjustments," says Gibbons. "There's considerable snowfall so the wheels are replaced midway by a set of skis and now there's a pickup bed in the back so gifts can rain down from it. (read more)


(hennemusic) Queen explore the guitar solo Brian May performs in concert in latest episode of the band's 50th anniversary video series The Greatest.

May delivers all Queen music with his custom-made Red Special guitar, which he designed and built with his father when he was 16 years old; it was later replicated, with slight modifications, in the early 2000s. (read more)


Venom Prison have premiered their brand new track and music video called "Pain of Oizys". The video was directed and produced by Thomas Coe-Brooke.

Guitarist Ben Thomas had this to say, "The second offering by Venom Prison is a cold room with a dusty piano. It's a softly sung war hymn with finger-picked guitar. It's a ship in calm seas watching for the storm on the Horizon. 'Pain Of Oizys' will lull you into a false sense of security. Unique to Venom Prisons previous releases the instrumentation is not what you'd expect. Glassy reverberated guitars and cold piano notes lay the foundation for clean sung harmonies. 'Pain Of Oizys' climaxes with synthy leads, strings and aggressive vocal chants. Leaving them feeling empowered with the lyrical conclusion whilst the intensity of the song winds down." (read more)

Anand Wilder recently released a visualizer video for his new single "I Don't Want Our Love To Become Routine," and to celebrate we asked him to tell us about the track, which comes from his forthcoming album "I Don't Know My Words". Here is the story:

Another semi-autobiographical story song in the country vein, I remember getting way too high and thinking about not wanting everything to become a chore just another routine. I wanted to make a song like Rupert Holmes or Harry Chapin might write, with a twist, a story song about couples I know, the second verse is the constant nagging couple that you never want to be around, but to them its just normal day to day interaction with each other. Or maybe it's just how they act when you're around them. (continue)


Luke Bryan and Morgan Wallen have been announced as two of the three headliners for the inaugural TidalWave Music Festival, which will be hitting Atlantic City Beach next summer.

The Jersey shore three-day beachfront festival will be taking place Friday, August 12 through Sunday, August 14th of next year and will feature two stages. (read more)


Tears For Fears have released a music video for their new single "No Small Thing," which is the second track they have shared from their the first new studio album in seventeen years.

Their new record, "The Tipping Point," is set to be released on February 25th, 2022. "No Small Thing," was written by both Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith. (read more)


Comeback Kid have released a video for their new song "Crossed" that features guest vocals from Gojira's Joe Duplantier and comes from their forthcoming album, "Heavy Steps".

Lead vocalist Andrew Neufeld had this to say about the song, "Crossed is a no frills metallic hardcore track. Lyrically it deals with someone in my life that seemed so far gone and I had to watch them dig themselves further and further into a low and unrealistic place. 'Crossed into the void' so to say." Blind Guardian have released a video for their brand new single "Deliver Us From Evil". The track is the first offering form the band's forthcoming album that is set to arrive next September

"Deliver Us From Evil" has been released digitally and also as a special vinyl 7inch with 'Merry Xmas Everybody' as B-Side, and as as Digipak CD with the previously released 'Violent Shadows' - WWW Live Performance as extra track. (read more)


Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page took to social media to pay tribute to the band's former tour manager, Richard Cole, who passed away after a battle with cancer on Thursday (12/2) at the age of 75.

Page shared a photo of himself with Cole on Instagram with the caption, "Yesterday, on the 2nd of December at 2.05am, Richard Cole passed after a brave and lengthy fight against cancer. (read more)


Ego Kill Talent have premiered their brand new single "Thousand Nails". That track features a special guest appearance from System of a Down's John Dolmayan.

The group had this to say about the meaning of the new track, "'Thousand Nails' is about how much we let ourselves be carried away by our pride — to the point of destroying wonderful works that we built together because we do not consider letting go."

Gothic Art Rockers The Ritualists just released their sophomore album "Baroque And Bleeding" and to celebrate we asked lead vocalist/songwriter Christian Dryden to tell us about the title track. Here is the story:

This was one of the last songs I wrote for the album. While practicing the drum parts for the other tunes, I was fooling around with this drum groove, and I started chanting over it. I recorded the idea on my phone and didn't think about it much further. (continue)
