Megadeth and Lamb Of God have announced that they will be launching a brand new 2022 leg of their popular Metal Tour Of Year that will feature support from Trivium and In Flames.

The new leg follows their success U.S. tour leg last year and is set to kick off on April 9th in Las Vegas, NV at the Michelob Ultra Arena and will be wrapping up on May 15th in Allentown, PA at the PPL Center. (read more)


Budgie vocalist/bassist Burke Shelley died in his sleep on Monday, January 10th, at the age of 71, according to a social media post shared by his daughter Ela.

She wrote on Facebook, "It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my father, John Burke Shelley. He passed away this evening in his sleep at Heath Hospital in Cardiff, his birth town. He was 71 years old. Please respect the family during this time. With love, His four children: Ela, Osian, Dimitri and Nathaniel." (read more)


Dashboard Confessional and Jimmy Eat World have announced that they will be teaming up for their coheadlining Surviving The Truth Tour of North America.

The trek will feature support from Sydney Sprague and is scheduled to begin on February 27th in Albuquerque, NM at the Kiva Auditorium and will conclude on March 22nd in Houston, TX at the 713 Music Hall. (read more)


(hennemusic) Cheap Trick were on hand to perform at the Baltimore Ravens NFL home game at the city's M&T Bank Stadium on January 9th and footage of the performance has been shared online.

The Ravens were hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers during the final weekend of regular season play as the league prepares to begin playoff rounds this week. (read more)


Bay Area thrash veterans Vio-lence have shared their brand new single, "Flesh From Bone." The song is the lead single to their forthcoming EP, "Let The World Burn."

The new music marks the band's first new original music since 1993 and will be released in March. It was produced by Juan Urteaga (Testament, Cattle Decapitation), mixed by Tue Madsen (Meshuggah, Sick Of It All), and engineered by Ted Jensen (Billy Joel, Pantera). (read more)


(hennemusic) Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder has revealed the track list for his forthcoming album, "Earthling," He shared the track details via a brand new video that he posted online.

Due February 11, the 13-song set sees the Pearl Jam rocker working with producer/guitarist Andrew Watt on his fourth solo project. "Earthling" was first previewed last fall with the lead single, "Long Way", which was recently followed by the track "The Haves." (read more)

The title track to the band's 2022 album will follow the set's lead single, "Peacemaker", as the second preview ahead of the project's release on February 26.

John 5's solo tour of Australia has been postponed due to the pandemic restrictions in the country. The new trek will take place in December and will feature Doyle as support.

The tour's promoter Silverback Touring had this to say, "We are devastated to advise that due to the surging Omicron cases together with newly announced venue restrictions, the John 5 Australian tour will need to be rescheduled once again. (read more)


Pelham, NY singer/songwriter Carter Brady just release his brand new single and music video called "Best Of Two Worlds" and to celebrate we asked him to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

I remember coming back from a day at the local pool in early September of last year and coming across a cool major 7th chord voicing that had a nice melancholic feel to it. I found the melody for it shortly after and began to construct the rest of the song's parts on acoustic. (continue)
