(hennemusic) Unseen footage of performances from The Rolling Stones infamous 1969 Altamont Free Concert has been discovered amongst material collected by the US Library Of Congress.

The research library is streaming a 30-minute video - without companion audio - that features live images of all five acts who performed, including Santana, Jefferson Airplane, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and the headliners. (read more)


(hennemusic) The man who was photographed as a baby for the cover of Nirvana's 1991 album, "Nevermind", has filed an amended lawsuit against the band just a week after the original case was dismissed by a federal judge in California.

According to Rolling Stone, 30-year-old Spencer Elden filed his second amended complaint late Wednesday, meeting a deadline set by Judge Fernando M. Olguin following his January 3 ruling that Elden failed to respond to a motion to dismiss filed by Nirvana and the other defendants on December 22, 2021. (read more)


(hennemusic) Jack White is sharing a preview of a video for "Love Is Selfish", a track from his forthcoming album, "Entering Heaven Alive." Set to be premiere on January 14, the clip opens with White on stage at an American Legion playing the song's opening on acoustic guitar.

Due July 22, "Entering Heaven Alive" is the second of two 2022 albums to be issued by White this year; it will follow the April 8 release of "Fear Of The Dawn." (read more)


Hatebreed have released a music video for their new single "Instinctive (Slaughterlust)." The track comes from the band's latest album, "Weight of the False Self."

The video includes footage that was captured last summer while Hatebreed was taking part in the Metal Tour of the Year with Megadeth, Lamb of God, and Trivium. (read more)


Tears For Fears have released their brand new single "Break The Man." The song comes from the band's forthcoming album, "Tipping Point", which will hit stores on February 25th.

Curt Smith had this to say about the track, "'Break The Man' is about a strong woman, and breaking the patriarchy. I feel that a lot of the problems we've been having as a country and even worldwide to a certain degree has come from male dominance. (read more)


UK rockers Muse have released a music video for their brand new single "Won't Stand Down", which was produced by the band and mixed by Dan Lancaster (Bring Me The Horizon).

Matt Bellamy had this to say about the track, "Won't Stand Down is a song about standing your ground against bullies, whether that be on the playground, at work or anywhere. Protecting yourself from coercion and sociopathic manipulation and to face adversity with strength, confidence and aggression." (read more)


Korn have released a visualizer video for their new single "Forgotten." The track comes from the band's forthcoming album, "Requiem", which is set to hit stores on February 4th.

The visualizer video was created by EFFIXX, who did the VFX work in the video for Korn's first Requiem single "Start The Healing," which was directed by Tim Saccenti (Flying Lotus, Run The Jewels, Depeche Mode). (read more)


Alice In Chains star Jerry Cantrell is streaming video of a recent live performance of the title track to his latest solo album, "Brighten." The Alice In Chains rocker was captured during a December 1 appearance at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles for "An Evening With Jerry Cantrell", which mixed live music and conversation as part of a ticketed and livestreamed show hosted by actor/comedian Jeff Garlin.

The album launch event saw Cantrell joined by many of the musicians featured on "Brighten", including Tyler Bates (300, John Wick), Greg Puciato (Dillinger Escape Plan), Gil Sharone (Dillinger Escape Plan), George Adrian, Vincent Jones and Michael Rozon. (read more)


Baroness have announced that they have decided to postpone the launch of the second leg of their Your Baroness Tour until this spring due to the current Covid situation.

They had this to say, "With the current surge in Omicron cases, we will be postponing Leg 2 of the 'Your Baroness Tour 'until March and April. With the intimate, 'in your face' nature of these shows we want to make sure that we're doing everything we can to ensure a safe, healthy night for everyone in the room. We don't want anyone coming to see us to feel like they are at risk, and we also don't want to get back out there and end up having to cancel (more) shows because someone in the touring party is ill. Access to the A Bowie Celebration livestream has been extended through Sunday, January 16th. The concert, with direction by Kerry Brown and musical direction by Mike Garson, took place on what would have been David Bowie's 75th birthday and features Def Leppard, Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon and John Taylor, William Corgan, Rob Thomas, Noel Gallagher, Living Colour, Evan Rachel Wood, Gary Oldman, WALK THE MOON and Jake Wesley Rogers among other special guests, including an appearance by Ricky Gervais. The event is available on RollingLiveStudios.com to enjoy worldwide through Sunday, January 16.

Highlights from this year's concert include the first performance by Def Leppard in two years as they perform Bowie's hit single "Drive-In Saturday." Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon and John Taylor perform an energetic"Let's Dance" featuring many of the Bowie alumni musicians who recorded that mega-hit song with Bowie. (read more)


Armored Saint have announced that they will be hitting the road with W.A.S.P. this fall for that band's 40th anniversary tour that will also feature Michael Schenker on select dates.

The tour is set to kick off on October 29th at The Grove in Anaheim, CA and will be concluding on December 9th at The Regency in San Francisco, CA, with Schenker joining the trek at their Texas and Oklahoma dates. (read more)


Tetrarch have announced that they have tapped by Sevendust to support them on their forthcoming U.S. headline tour that will also feature Dead Poet Society.

The Animosity Tour is set to launch on March 4th in Oklahoma City at The Diamond Ballroom and will be wrapping up on March 27th in Nashville, TN at the Wildhorse Saloon. (read more)
