Sammy Hagar revealed in a new interview that he is not interested in taking part in the speculated Van Halen tribute concert without original bassist Michael Anthony, and he is also conflicted because he doesn't believe it would be Van Halen without the late Eddie Van Halen on guitar.

The former Van Halen frontman was asked about the tribute concert by The News-Herald in Sterling Heights, MI. The news of the proposed tribute was broken by former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted and Anthony later spoke to SiriusXM host Eddie Trunk about the idea. (read more)


Slipknot have premiered a music video for their new single "Yen". The new visual for the track was once again directed by the band's own M. Shawn 'Clown' Crahan.

"Yen" comes from the band's forthcoming album, "The End, So Far", which is set to be released by the group's longtime label, Roadrunner Records on September 30th. (read more)


Legendary Iron Maiden illustrator Derek Riggs, creator of the band's iconic mascot Eddie, has created a special t-shirt featuring a previously unused "Killers" inspired Eddie illustration to help raise funds for former frontman Paul Di'Anno's medical expenses.

According to the announcement, for the front of the shirt, "Derek chose one of his never-before-used illustrations directly related to the 'Killers' album. He called the illustration 'Axes High', in order to playfully play with the theme of the illustration and the name of the famous Maiden single [Aces High] from 1984." (read more)


Alter Bridge have announced that they will be launching a massive two-legged North American tour early next year that will feature Wolfgang Van Halen's Mammoth WVH as direct support.

The band will be launching the trek in support of their forthcoming album, "Pawns & Kings" and have tapped Rockers Red to support for the first leg and Pistols At Dawn to take over that slot on the second leg. (read more)


Thomas Rhett is having so much fun this summer on his Bring The Bar To You Tour that he has decided to bring the trek to fans across Canada early next year.

The new Canadian extension will feature Jordan Davis and Kameron Marlowe as support and is set to kick off on February 9th in Vancouver, BC at Rogers Arena. (read more)


Disturbed have topped the rock radio charts with their latest single, "Hey You," which is the first taste of their forthcoming album and the band's 15th No. 1 single.

Frontman David Draiman had this to say about the Josiahx directed video for the song, "it's a wake up call. We've become our own worst enemies. Civil discourse has become the exception instead of the norm. People have lost themselves in outrage addiction." (read more)


Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder has announced that his solo band, Earthlings", will be playing two dates this fall in addition to their previously announced headline performance at the Ohana Festival.

The new dates will be taking place on Wednesday, October 5th at Vina Robles Amphitheatre in Paso Robles, CA and Friday, October 7th at Dolby Live at MGM Park in Las Vegas. (read more)


The 40th anniversary Rush's 'Signals' album is being celebrated by the syndicated radio show In The Studio With Redbeard: The Stories Behind History's Greatest Rock Bands.

Redbeard had this to say, "Rush was already a veteran band which had sold over a million copies of its last two albums before Moving Pictures, so by the time the mainstream caught up to that blockbuster, the band and their loyal fans had evolved into new emerging Eighties sounds incorporating technology peppered with World Music flavors. What resulted was Signals, an album not without controversy at the time of its September 1982 release, but seen now forty years later by my guests Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson as vital to the longevity and musical relevance of Rush. We will share 'Subdivisions', 'New World Man', 'The Analog Kid', 'Chemistry', and 'The Weapon' along with my rare interview with the late Rush drummer/lyricist Neil Peart on the Signals fortieth anniversary here In the Studio. Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Jewel, Alanis Morissette, and Dave Matthews Band lead AXS TV's special Labor Day Weekend coverage, The special Sounds Like The 90s three-day event-will air Saturday, September 3rd through Monday, September 5th.

The event begins on September 3 at 12pE as host Katie Daryl and a celebrity panel countdown the best "90s One-Hit Wonders" on The Top Ten Revealed, followed by A Year In Music marathon delving into the landmark figures, music, and moments that defined each year of the 1990s. The day also includes unforgettable performances by '90s trailblazers Foo Fighters, Jane's Addiction, Garbage, and more, and a pair of Rock Legends profiles of Foo Fighters and Radiohead. (hennemusic) Motley Crue are streaming a remastered version of the music video for their single, "Too Young To Fall In Love," which came from their 1983 sophomore album, "Shout At The Devil."

The song followed the album's title track and "Looks That Kill" as the third tune issued from the Los Angeles band's second record, which delivered their commercial breakthrough when it reached No. 17 on the US Billboard 200 on its way to sales of more than 4 million in the region. (read more)


(hennemusic) The Kinks are sharing a new Ray Davies 2022 remix of "Acute Schizophrenia Paranoia Blues" from the forthcoming 50th anniversary reissue of their 1971 album, "Musewell Hillbillies."

Due September 9, the band will release remastered editions of their tenth studio record as well as 1972's "Everyone's In Show-Biz." The projects originally marked the start of a new chapter for the UK band: they signed a new record deal with RCA, looked back on their upbringing in London and began to turn their attention to the American public. I used to play music with my younger brother, Faris. We grew up in El Paso and spent our teen years dreaming of escaping West Texas and forming a band that would conquer the world. Delusions of grandeur, perhaps? We ended up playing in bands together for about 15 years but never came close to conquering the world. (continue)
