Ozzy Osbourne will be celebrating the September 9th release of his new studio album, "Patient Number 9" by hosting a rare in-store appearance and signing.

The special event will be taking place at Fingerprints in Long Beach, California on Saturday, September 10th, the day after the album's release. (read more)


San Diego rockers Pierce The Veil have released a brand new track called "Pass The Nirvana", which is the first new music released by the band since 2016.

Frontman Vic Fuentes had this to say about the track, "'Pass the Nirvana' is about the many horrible traumas that the youth of America have endured over the past few years. (read more)


Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares took to social media to compare his band's "Digimortal" logo to the one that is being used by this year's Furnace Fest in Birmingham, Al.

Cazares posted a photo of both logos (which both have two Fs facing away from one another, but differing design elements apart from the letters) and he asked "It was brought to my attention that these logos are to [sic] similar. Do u all think that @FurnaceFest logo is to similar to @FearFactory Digimortal logo ? Do u all think this is enough for a cease and desist letter?" (read more)


(hennemusic) Deep Purple are sharing a restored video of a 2005 performance of their 1971 classic, "Demon's Eye," that has previously not been released by the band.

"From the Vault: this restored video, filmed during the ´Rapture of the Deep Tour´ (3 September 2005 at Polo Express, Düsseldorf, Germany) was used for the album TV promotion in Europe," says the band. "This version has not been released on any Deep Purple CD or Video. We hope you enjoy it!" (read more)


The Pretty Reckless brought out Soundgarden's Kim Thayil to join them on stage at the Moore Theater in Seattle, WA on Wednesday night (August 31st) to perform their collaborative track, "Only Love Can Save Me Now".

The song appeared on The Pretty Reckless's latest album, "Death By Rock And Roll", and featured a guest appearance by Thayil and his Soundgarden bandmate Matt Cameron. (read more)


(hennemusic) Motley Crue are streaming a remastered version of the video for their 1985 hit, "Smokin' In The Boys Room."

The Los Angeles band's cover of the 1973 Brownsville Station classic was the lead single from their third album, "Theatre Of Pain"; while the original was a US Top 5 hit, the Crue's version reached the US Top 20 while the project sold more than 4 million copies in the region. (read more)


Gorillaz have released a new track called "New Gold ft. Tame Impala & Bootie Brown" to mark their announcement that they will be releasing their new studio album, "Cracker Island", February 24th.

The group performed the song live for the first time to a sold-out crowd at London's All Points East Festival earlier this month, where they were joined on stage by Tame Impala, Kevin Parker, and Bootie Brown of The Pharcyde. (read more)


Young the Giant have released the music video for "My Way" from ACT II: EXILE the second act of their fifth studio album, American Bollywood, which will be released on October 21.

The album is being revealed in four acts, with two acts remaining: Battle and Denouement. American Bollywood is their first album in four years since Mirror Master and the first since leaving the major label system. (read more)


Max Creeps have released a music video for their song "Summer of Fun" which featuring Buckets The Drummer, and comes from their latest album, "Nein".

Blake Shelton has announced that he will be making his first in-person appearance since the pandemic on September 8th when he will be a guest and performer on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

In addition to being lead guest, Shelton will perform his new single, "No Body". Released just two weeks ago, "No Body" became the most added song at country radio upon impact and is currently nearing the Top 30. (read more)


Austin Meade has released a music video for his new single, "Rosé' Romance", and announced the October 14th release of his new album "Abstract Art of an Unstable Mind".

"Rosé Romance" is the third in a trilogy of videos that tells some of the album's story. The story starts with the characters just getting out of high school. Then it's a fraught and often funny/sad journey through the formative years 'til the diverse personalities from different walks of life reconvene -for better and often worse- as adults. (read more)

Around the time of the confrontations between citizens and the police after a string of shootings of black Americans in 2020, I read stories about the forgotten history of black cowboys in the back half of the 1800's and how they had been erased out of the historical picture of the settling of the western USA.
