(hennemusic) Iron Maiden headlined the opening night of the 2022 edition of Rock In Rio on September 2, and pro-shot video of their full performance is available online.

The band's 2-hour, 15-song set at Parque Olímpico in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil opened with three songs from their latest release, "Senjutsu", including tracks from nine different albums and closed with the 1984 "Powerslave" classic, "Aces High." (read more)


(hennemusic) Deep Purple have just released "Extras: The NOW What?! B-Sides And Bonus Songs", a new digital compilation of material recorded during sessions for their 2013 album, "NOW What?!"

Produced by Bob Ezrin, the group's 19th studio record topped the charts in multiple European countries and was Top 10 in many regions. Launched with "Hell To Pay (Radio Edit)", the newly-available package includes "All The Time in the World (Radio Mix Edit)", instrumental versions of "Uncommon Man", "Above and Beyond", "Après Vous" and "Hell To Pay", the non-album track "First Sign Of Madness", a cover of the Jerry Lee Lewis classic, "It'll Be Me", and a live version of "Green Onions / Hush (Live in Gaevle)". Panic! At The Disco have released the Brendan Walter directed music video for the song "Do It To Death" from their seventh album, "Viva Las Vengeance".

The video comes as the band kick off The Viva Las Vengeance Tour on Thursday in Austin, TX. The 40 city tour will mark the band's return to iconic venues like NYC's Madison Square Garden, LA's Kia Forum, and more. (read more)


Ghost In The Machine, The Police's fourth album which was first released in 1981, is to be reissued as a stunning limited edition picture disc, featuring the alternate, 'original' track-listing and sequencing.

To be released on November 4 and now available on pre-order, this special reissue features three additional tracks not included on the original album - "I Burn For You" - the single mix of the track from the "Brimstone and Treacle" album - "Once Upon A Daydream" and "Shambelle." (read more)

Surf Curse have premiered the Nathan Castiel and Nick Rattigan directed video for their new single, "Self Portrait", which comes from their forthcoming album, "Magic Hour".

"Magic Hour is our excitement about rock music and being in a band," says Jacob Rubeck. "This album is the excitement of starting something that we all can feel good about with each other, but also progressing as creative people and throwing in that magic. Earlier this week Goo Goo Dolls returned to Jimmy Kimmel Live! to deliver their debut late-night TV performance of "Yeah, I Like You", the single off their newest album, Chaos In Bloom.

"Yeah I Like You" arrived earlier this summer as the first single from Chaos in Bloom, their 13th studio album that is officially out now. Stewart Copeland, who was part of The Police, one of the biggest selling bands of the late 70's/early 80's, spoke to Vintage Rock Pod about the whole week leading up to the concert at Wembley Stadium, London, in tribute to Foo Fighters Taylor Hawkins.

In this short 3 minute video, Stewart praises Dave Grohl and talks about the camaraderie at the London hotel where he befriended Sir Paul McCartney, Roger Taylor and Metallica's Lars Ulrich. (read more)


Liverpool UK group Ladytron are celebrating the 20th anniversary of what many consider their definitive album, 2002's "Light&Magic (Nettwerk)".

The band just released a new short performance film for the standout album track "True Mathematics," shot at the 2002 Light&Magic tour shows in London and Manchester and forgotten for 20 years. "True Mathematics" is one of several songs on the album that vocalist Mira Aroyo sang in her native Bulgarian. (read more)


Fit For A King announced their new album The Hell We Create. It arrives on October 28 via Solid State Records. Today, the band has shared the video for "Falling Through the Sky."

"'Falling Through the Sky' represents the mental struggles I had dealt with during the pandemic, and how little my upbringing prepared me to deal with it," says singer Ryan Kirby. "Between adopting two children, my wife having constant health issues, and me losing almost 70 percent of my income, I was an absolute wreck." (read more)


Roger Taylor is to release a live album recorded during his hugely successful October 2021 Outsider UK tour which saw the Queen founding member perform a series of 'intimate' shows: "my modesty tour, I just want it to be lots of fun, very good musically", said Taylor at the time of announcing his first live performances outside of Queen in over twenty years.

Coming on Vinyl, as a 2CD set, and digital release, Taylor's The Outsider Tour Live, featuring 22 tracks performed across his 14-date sold out late 2021 tour becomes available September 30. A lead single, "Surrender," will precede the album with a digital services release September 8. (read more)


The Milk Men have released a music video for their new single "Gabba Gabba Hey", which is taken from their brand new fourth album, "Spin The Bottle".

"As a teenager I had started getting into punk music, predominantly The Sex Pistols and The Clash," says Lloyd Green, The Milk Men's bass guitarist and writer of Gabba Gabba Hey. "I taught myself bass by playing along to Never Mind The Bollocks. I loved the energy and that at its essence it was still rock n roll. It wasn't until several years later that I discovered the Ramones." (read more)

Lamb Of God have shared a lyric video for their new single, "Grayscale". The track comes from their forthcoming album, "Omens," which is set to hit stores on October 7th.

Willie Adler had this to say about the new song, "'Grayscale' has just a smack you in the face, bit of hardcore feel to it. We had basically finished writing the record and I wrote this song thinking it won't necessarily be a Lamb song. (read more)


Alter Bridge have shared a lyric video for their new single, "Sin After Sin", the latest track they have revealed from their forthcoming album, "Pawns & Kings."

The lyric video was created by Alter Bridge visual collaborator Wayne Joyner and the song clocks in at 6:43 and is the second longest song on the new album. (read more)


Coldplay have today announced a special live broadcast of the band's spectacular Music Of The Spheres World Tour from Buenos Aires' River Plate Stadium.

The worldwide live event will be shown in thousands of cinemas across more than 70 countries on October 28 / 29* in partnership with Trafalgar Releasing, who also executive produce alongside CJ 4DPlex. (read more)

Celtic Frost have announced that they will be releasing 'Danse Macabre', a Super Deluxe Box-Set Of The Complete Recordings : 1984 -1987 on October 28th in the UK/EU and November 25th in US/CA.

Over the course of little more than three years between 1984 and 1987, Celtic Frost established themselves as one of the most important bands in extreme and experimental music of that era. 'Danse Macabre' brings together the band's recordings from those years, capturing their boundary-pushing ambition and creative zeal. (read more)

The song Hell or High Water is the most personal and powerful song off my album Someone Like You. It was written about my story of leaving behind my hometown of Boston and all the ghosts that lived there.
