(hennemusic) The City of Pasadena, CA hosted a dedication ceremony for the Van Halen Stage on Saturday, September 17th. Pasadena Now reports that the Playhouse Village Park opened to festivities as the legendary local band were honored with the dedication of the park's Van Halen Stage.

"Regarded as one of the most successful rock bands of all time," reads the Van Halen Stage dedication plaque, "Van Halen got their start in Pasadena in the 1970s. They played 14 sold-out shows at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium between 1975 and 1978. Signing with Warner Brothers Records in 1978, Van Halen would go on to release their debut album and embark on their first international tour that same year. (read more)


Iron Maiden have recruited Within Temptation for the latest collaboration for their Legacy of the Beast free-to-play mobile game, which premiered on Monday night (September 19th)

So far this year the game has featured collaborations with Disturbed, Powerwolf, Arch Enemy, Five Finger Death Punch and now touring partners, Within Temptation, who will be joining Iron Maiden on the second leg of their US tour in October 2022. (read more)


(hennemusic) Clutch launched their new studio album, "Sunrise On Slaughter Beach", during a September 17th free live streamed concert from Baltimore, MD.

Delivered direct from Hammerjacks, the appearance saw the band present all but one song ("Mercy Brown") from the record, including the live debut of three tracks - "Mountain Of Bone", "Jackhammer Our Names", and "Three Golden Horns" - for fans in their home state. (read more)

Warner Records have announced that they will be releasing the Red Hot Chili Peppers' new album, "Return of The Dream Canteen", in the 2xLP Neon Pink Vinyl as a special limited edition for this year's Record Store Day's "Black Friday" on November 25th.

The 40th anniversary of Journey's hit song, "Faithfully," will be celebrated as the featured song on the season premiere of the ABC-TV comedy The Goldbergs on Wednesday, September 21 at 8:30 p.m.

Metallica's All Within My Hands foundation brings its Helping Hands Concert & Auction back into the physical world for its third year: On December 16, Helping Hands will make its Southern California debut with Metallica and special guests performing at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

Tickets will be on sale to the public from 10:00am local time Friday, September 23 with a two-ticket limit per customer. As always, 100% of proceeds from this years Helping Hands event-tickets, fees and auction items-will go directly to help those in need. (read more)


System Of A Down's Serj Tankian has announced that he will be releasing his brand new 5 song EP titled Perplex Cities on October 21st and is previewing tracks via an augmented reality experience.

Paramore have added a New York City stop to their run of intimate performances across the U.S. The band will be playing at Beacon Theatre on November 13.

The Eagles icon Joe Walsh has announced that the sixth annual VetsAid benefit concert event will be livestreamed across the globe via the Veeps platform.
