Ozzy Osbourne sang Eddie Van Halen's praises, but was not as complementary towards Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth in a new interview.

The Black Sabbath legend made the comments during a chat with Revolver where he recalled Van Halen opening for Sabbath on their Never Say Die Tour in 1978. (read more)


(hennemusic) Judas Priest drummer Scott Travis is revealing the band's performance plans for their induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame next month in a new interview with 107.7 WRKR-FM in Kalamazoo, MI.

The November 5 event at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, CA will see the heavy metal icons honored with the Musical Excellence Award alongside fellow winners Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis; it is given to artists, musicians, songwriters and producers whose originality and influence creating music have had a dramatic impact on music. Maneskin have released a brand new power balled entitled "The Loneliest" as they prepare to launch their North American Loud Kids Tour on Halloween.

Frontman Damiano David had this to say about the new track, "We're so excited for you all to finally hear The Loneliest. This song means a lot to me, it's a personal song but I hope you can all relate to it in your own way." (read more)

(hennemusic) The Cult are streaming their brand new studio album, "Under The Midnight Sun", in sync with its October 7 release. The band recorded their 11th studio set with producer Tom Dalgety (Pixies, Ghost, Royal Blood) at Rockfield Studios in Wales.

The follow-up to 2016's "Hidden City" marks the group's first project with Black Hill Records, a newly-launched rock-focused label affiliated with independent publisher Round Hill Music. (read more)


(hennemusic) The Tragically Hip has just released a triple vinyl box set edition of their 1992 classic, "Fully Completely", in honor of the album's 30th anniversary.

Originally issued in 2014 as a Deluxe CD Edition, the October 7 release marks the first time the box set is presented as a three-piece vinyl set; it features all the elements from the original package, including the "Fully Completely" original album, the "Live at the Horseshoe September 13, 1992" recording, with bonus studio session tracks "Radio Show" and "So Hard Done By," plus a 56-page book and five exclusive lithographs by cover artist Lieve Prins. David Michael Frank has amassed 1.6 million followers on TikTok and landed a No. 2 spot on the Alternative charts with his solo debut single "Only One," and to celebrate we asked him to tell us about the song. Here is the story:

Florida Georgia Line star Tyler Hubbard has released a music video for the song "Baby Gets Her Lovin'," which comes from his six-song solo project "Dancin' In The Country."

Hubbard describes the track as a "really fun song I can envision everyone line dancing to." He co-wrote the song with Jesse Frasure and Canaan Smith, and it was co-produced by Hubbard, Frasure and Jordan Schmidt. (read more)

The band recorded the project earlier this year with producer Erik Ron (Panic! At The Disco, Godsmack) after the pair worked on "Flowers On A Grave" and the title track for the group's previous album, 2020's "The Kingdom." (read more)


Saving Vice have released a brand new two-song EP entitled, "Dichotomy", which was written by the band and brought over to Justin DeBlieck (formerly of Ice Nine Kills) for production, engineering, and mixing.

It was then mastered by Steve Sopchak at the Square Studio (Ice Nine Kills, Motionless In White). Vocalist Tyler Small had this to say, "'Culling Kindness' is about resisting the urge to attack bullies or aggressors or always being too afraid of fighting back or getting arrested because it isn't worth it and how trying to be the bigger person ends up making you a victim your whole life. You eventually have to draw a line and fight back. (read more)


We Were Promised Jetpacks have announced that they will be releasing their new EP, "A Complete One-Eighty", both digitally and on limited edition vinyl on December 9th.

The EP will include reworked versions of songs featured on their album "Enjoy The View" and remixes by Manchester Orchestra, Andy Monaghan and Zoe Graham. (read more)


The Goo Goo Dolls and Barenaked Ladies have been added as headliner performers to Hootie & the Blowfish's destination concert vacation "HootieFest: The Big Splash."

The event will be taking place on April 26th through 29th, 2023 at Moon Palace Cancun, Mexico and will feature three complete sets by Hootie & the Blowfish, including two headlining performances and one special sunset set. (read more)


Liars Academy have announced that they will be releasing limited-edition reissues for their 2002 "Trading My Life" EP and the 2004 J. Robbins produced "Demons" LP.

They will be available in December and it mark first time that they titles will be available on vinyl and cassette. Vinyl for each title is limited to 500 total copies worldwide, split across several variants. (read more)


Connecticut-based heavy metal band Dystopica recently released their Deception EP, and to celebrate we asked frontwoman Becky Brideau to tell us about one of the song and she selected, "Time Is Screaming". Here is the story:

"Time is Screaming" is one of my favorite songs that I've written so far. When I was writing music for the new EP Deception my goal was to take the band's sound in a heavier more progressive direction. With that being said I wanted a song that was progressive, more so than "Lost Within Myself" from our first EP Perception which switches back and forth between 5/4 and 4/4 meter. (continue)
