Red Hot Chili Peppers performed the live debut of their Eddie Van Halen tribute song "Eddie" at Austin City Limits this past Sunday night (October 9th), and video of the performance has been shared online.

The song comes from the band's forthcoming album, "Return Of The Dream Canteen", which hits stores this Friday, October 14th and is the follow up to "Unlimited Love," that was released back in April. (read more)


(hennemusic) David Bowie's team is streaming newly-upgraded rare video footage of a 1972 UK television performance of "Oh! You Pretty Things" as part of the ongoing 50th anniversary celebrations of his album, The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars.

Bowie - as Ziggy and joined by his band, The Spiders From Mars - can be seen delivering the single from his 1971 record, "Hunky Dory", during an appearance on the classic BBC music series The Old Grey Whistle Test; it was one of three songs the rocker performed just days before the launch of the first Ziggy Stardust tour. Maneskin have premiered a music video for their recently released power balled "The Loneliest", which was Spotify's No. 1 global song debut this week.

Frontman Damiano David said of the new track, "We're so excited for you all to finally hear The Loneliest. This song means a lot to me, it's a personal song but I hope you can all relate to it in your own way." (read more)


(hennemusic) Alice In Chains have re-entered the US Top 10 chart following the release of a series of 30th anniversary reissues of their classic 1992 album, Dirt.

The Seattle band's second album - which originally peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 - has returned to the chart for the first time since 1994 due largely by sales of its double vinyl album, with 22,500 copies sold across its three available pressings (a widely available standard black LP, a red-colored variant exclusive to Walmart and an orange-colored LP exclusively sold through the band's webstore), according to Billboard. Prog rock legends Yes have announced the rescheduled UK dates for their Relayer Tour, which will feature the band playing the 1974 album in entirety, along with other classic tracks from their career.

Story Of The Year have released a music video for their new single, "Tear Me To Pieces". The song is the title track to their forthcoming album, which will arrive on March 10, 2023.

Guitarist Ryan Phillips said of the new record, "I think this album will be a defining moment in our career. When our fans hear it, they'll be like, 'Oh, sh*t, these dudes are ready to go!' This is the sound of a band putting everything into it. If a new band came out with this album, I'd be texting everyone in my band about it." (read more)


Epica have shared their brand new single, "The Great Tribulation" featuring Fleshgod Apocalypse. The track comes from their forthcoming The Alchemy Project, which will be released on November 11th and features the band collaborating with special guests.

Blind Guardian have released a music video for their song "Life Beyond The Spheres". The track comes from their recently released new album, The God Machine.

Guitarist Andre Olbrich had this to say about the new single and video, "I'm a big supporter of innovation, to bring the whole music genre forward to something else. Hot Chip have released a claymation video for their song "Eleanor". The track comes from their recently released eighth album, Freakout/Release.

(hennemusic) The Cult has premiered a music video for "Mirror", the latest track from their newly-released album, "Under The Midnight Sun."

The song joins "Give Me Mercy" and "A Cut Inside" as the third single from the band's 11th studio set, which they recorded with producer Tom Dalgety (Pixies, Ghost, Royal Blood) at Rockfield Studios in Wales. (read more)


The inaugural Zona Music Festival will take place Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4 at Margaret T. Hance Park in Downtown Phoenix, AZ, but the fun won't end with the main event as organizers have announced the addition of "Zona Nights".

The festival will be headlined Beach House, Portugal. The Man and Bleachers with Tegan and Sara and Japanese Breakfast. And Zona Nights will be a series of shows surrounding the festival that will be hosted by the Zona Music Festival. (read more)

My new single, Smooth Sailing, is about a specific feeling which cannot be described in one word. It is when everything is dreamy, unstable, but at the same time everything in its place and smooth. To take it back to the creation of the song, me and my buddy Corey Chorus heard the beat Chris Wolfe made. Instantly, when I heard the beat, I could associate it only with the atmosphere of a dreamy beach vibe. We took it from there. (continue)
