(hennemusic) Queen are sharing a lyric video for "Face It Alone", an unreleased and recently-rediscovered 1988 song featuring previously-unheard vocals by Freddie Mercury.

Originally recorded during sessions for the group's 1989 album, "The Miracle", the tune was unearthed when the band's production and archive team returned to those sessions to work on the upcoming box set reissue of the project. (read more)


(hennemusic) Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth is streaming a new "studio live" version of the 1964 Kinks classic, "You Really Got Me." Roth originally recorded the tune with Van Halen and it became the lead single from their 1978 self-titled debut album.

The 2022 take of the song was captured during a session at Hollywood's Henson Recording Studio this past May that saw Roth record 14 tracks in 2 hours with his most recent touring lineup of guitarist Al Estrada, bassist Ryan Wheele and drummer Francis Valentino. (read more)


In the wake of Blink-182 reuniting with Tom DeLonge, he has publicly thanked Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba for his contribution to the band while he way away from the group.

Skiba was called on to replace DeLonge in 2015, first as a fill-in but then as a member. He went on to record two albums with the group, 2016's California and 2019's Nine. (read more)


(hennemusic) John Mellencamp is streaming a lyric video for "Carolina Shag", a previously-unreleased track recorded during sessions for his 1985 album, Scarecrow.

The song is one of several bonus tracks included in the November 4 release of an expanded Deluxe reissue of the project, which originally reached No. 2 on the US Billboard 200 on its way to sales of more than 5 million copies in the region. (read more)


Hatebreed have announced that former guitarist Sean Martin will be joining them on their 20 Years of Perseverance Tour that will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their Perseverance album.

Frontman Jamey Jasta had this to say, "We had such a blast having Sean come out to perform songs with us on our 25th anniversary tour that we thought it could be even more fun to have him come out again to celebrate the anniversary of the album that changed our lives for the better." (read more)


(hennemusic) Former Oasis star Liam Gallagher is shining a spotlight on men's mental health issues in a video for his new single, "Too Good For Giving Up."

The latest track from "C'Mon You Know" sees the rocker teaming up with the UK charitable organization Talk Club, which provides a talking and listening club for men, including therapy and sports groups, a 24-hour Talk feed where men can connect, and more. (read more)


Craig Finn and the Uptown Controllers' on Late Night with Seth Meyers performance of "The Amarillo Kid" from the new album, A Legacy Of Rentals" has been shared online.

Finn said of the album, "The title A Legacy Of Rentals acknowledges that we can never completely hold any of our possessions, and that our bodies are merely a temporary residence for our souls. All moments are fleeting. (read more)


A&M/UMe have released a digital-only 35th-Anniversary Expanded Edition of Sting's stunning second solo album, ...Nothing Like the Sun. The album title was lovingly adopted from Shakespeare's Sonnet No. 130 ("My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun").

The 26-track Expanded Edition features the original 12 songs on the album plus 14 bonus tracks that consist of B-sides, remixes, alternate versions, and instrumentals (read more)


Fit For A King have released a music video for their new single, "Times Like This" that features The Ghost Inside's Jonathan Vigil. The song comes from their forthcoming album, The Hell We Create, which will hit stores on October 28th.

Ryan Kirby had this to say about the song, "'Times Like This' is about how as a society, we have accepted misinformation as a part of life, and in some cases, even embraced it. (read more)


Machine Gun Kelly has shared a music video for his new single "9 lives." The clip was directed by Sam Cahill and it showcases every angle of his life, from hanging out with Avril Lavigne and Iann Dior to rocking out with his rabid fanbase during his sold-out shows to spending time with his daughter, according to Bad Boy/Interscope Records.

The label shared, along with showcasing his dominance on the road, MGK has earned a bevy of new accomplishments beginning with his two nominations for this year's American Music Awards. (read more)


All Out War have announced that they will be releasing their eighth studio album, entitled Celestial Rot on February 3, 2023 via Translation Loss Records.

The album was recorded by Taras Apuzzo of ALL OUT WAR, mixed and mastered by Erol Ulug at Bright Lights Studios (Teeth, Our Place of Worship is Silence, Rotting Out) and features the artwork of Alexandre Goulet (Despised Icon, End, Apes, WAKE, Fit for an Autopsy). (read more)


Tara Macri just released her brand new single, "Walking Up In California," and to celebrate we asked her to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

"Waking Up in California" song idea started out early in the pandemic (early 2020) as a completely different song title and idea called "California Sober". Around that time Demi Lavato had just released a song with that exact title but a completely different idea a couple months before. Even though my song had a completely different message I felt I should dig deeper into the idea and see where it might take me. Interestingly the words "Waking up in California" were already in the chorus so we just moved a few things around lyrically to make it work. (continue)
