A week after Motley Crue announced The World Tour with Def Leppard, lead guitarist Mick Mars has announced that he is retiring from touring. A replacement has not yet been revealed by the band.

Mars' representative made the announced via a statement released to Variety. It says, Mick Mars, co-founder and lead guitarist of the heavy metal band Motley Crue for the past 41 years, has announced today that due to his ongoing painful struggle with Ankylosing Spondylitis (A.S.),he will no longer be able to tour with the band. Green Day and Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder have been tapped to headline the fifth annual Innings Festival, that will be taking place at the Tempe Beach and Tempe Arts Park, on February 25th and 26th, 2023.

The Arizona event will include 18 bands across 2 stages, including performances from Weezer, Marcus Mumford, The Black Crowes, The Revivalists, The Offspring, Mt. Joy, The Pretty Reckless, The Head and the Heart and more. (read more)


(hennemusic) Judas Priest vocalist Rob Halford is sharing an update on the progress of the band's new studio album ahead of their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame next month.

The work-in-progress will mark the follow-up to the group's 2018 record, "Firepower", which earner the legendary UK outfit their highest-charting US album when it debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 upon its release. (read more)


(hennemusic) Jimi Hendrix's team is streaming live audio of "Purple Haze" as the latest preview to the November 18 release of "The Jimi Hendrix Experience Los Angeles Forum: April 26, 1969."

Recorded before a sold out audience, the performance of the original lineup - Hendrix, drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Noel Redding - which has never before been released in its entirety, will be issued in time for the 80th anniversary of Jimi Hendrix's birth (November 27). (read more)

Unwritten Law have premiered a short film music videos for the songs "Magnetic" and "The Hum," which come off their recently released 7th studio album, The Hum.

The short film was directed by Joseph Russo, and it follows the story of a couple, played by Tyler Posey and Tehya Elam, as they enter an alternate reality world known as The Hum. (read more)


Punk rock legends The Damned have released a new music video for "Neat Neat Neat/Bela Lugosi's Dead," from their forthcoming live album/concert film release, A Night Of A Thousand Vampires.

"Neat Neat Neat" is The Damned's second-ever single release. The classic punk rock track morphs into a chilling cover of goth icons Bauhaus' first-ever single, "Bela Lugosi's Dead". The stunning, theatrical visual is available just in time for Halloween. (read more)


Radiohead's Philip Selway has released a visualizer video for the song "Check For Signs Of Life", to celebrate the announcement of his new solo album, "Strange Dance", which will arrive on February 24th.

PIAS sent over these details about the new album: When Philip Selway approached some of his favorite musicians to play on his third solo record he said he imagined it as a Carole King record if she collaborated with the pioneering electronic composer Daphne Oram and invited him to drum on it. Unsurprisingly they were all sold, and so began the bringing together of an extraordinary number of gifted people, including Hannah Peel, Adrian Utley, Quinta, Marta Salogni, Valentina Magaletti and Laura Moody. Pantera, Judas Priest, and Rainbow stars have teamed up for a new supergroup called Elegant Weapons and they have announced their debut album, "Horns For A Halo", will arrive next spring.

Elegant Weapons is comprised of Ronnie Romero (Rainbow, MSG), guitarist Richie Faulkner (Judas Priest), bassist Rex Brown (Pantera, Down), and drummer Scott Travis (Judas Priest). (read more)

Van Morrison has shared "Streamline Train", the lead single from his forthcoming album, "Moving On Skiffle", which will be released on March 10th, 2023 and as the name implies, explores Van's love of the skiffle genre.

"Streamline Train" was written in the 1930s by the Mississippi bluesman Red Nelson, the song was popularized when The Vipers Skiffle Group took it into the UK singles chart in 1957. (read more)


Nashville based rocker Lindsey just released a new single called "Save Me" from her forthcoming "Out Of The Ashes" EP, and to celebrate we asked her to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

I wrote Save Me as I was experiencing one of the lowest points in my life. From a young age, I battled with depression. As I grew older, the depression grew darker, heavier, and at my breaking point, suffocating. I accepted that this was just a part of who I was and was something I would always have to live with. Save Me is my version of a battle cry..it's me saying I will no longer lay down and accept defeat. I choose to wake up every day and fight. I choose truth instead of the lies the darkness tried to fill my head with. The truth I found is in Jesus Christ. He gives me strength to not give up, and the power to overcome. (continue)
