AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson and lead guitarist Angus Young are the featured guest on the special Halloween episode of the syndicated radio show In The Studio With Redbeard: The Stories Behind History's Greatest Rock Bands.

Redbeard had this to say, Halloween is the perfect post-pandemic party time because everybody already wears a mask. Rock'n'roll has been making great songs for Halloween parties ever since 'The Monster Mash' by Bobby 'Boris' Pickett, Screaming Jay Hawkins' 'I Put a Spell on You' was covered on the first Creedence Clearwater Revival album, and The Crazy World of Arthur Brown shouted 'I am the God of Hell fire!' over fifty years ago. KISS have shared a stream of the previously unreleased demo of the "Lick It Up" track, "Not For the Innocent", which is included in the forthcoming "Creatures Of The Night 40" anniversary box set.

The band will be released the special 40th anniversary reissue on November 18th in various formats including a "5 cd + Blu-ray Audio Super Deluxe Edition, 3-LP Deluxe, 2-CD Deluxe, 1-LP Half-Speed Master 180gm, and 1-CD Remaster," according to the announcement. (read more)


Legendary original Dead Kennedys frontman Jello Biafra took to social media to pay his respects to drummer D.H. Peligro, who passed away on Friday (October 28th) from a head injury suffered in a fall. He was 63.

Biafra shared his tribute in a series of tweets. He wrote, "D.H. PELIGRO: 1959-2022 Wow. I sure wasn't expecting this. I feel like I've been hit by a train. Despite all he'd done to his mind and body, I never thought we would lose him first. He was not just our powerful unforgettable drummer, he was a gifted singer, songwriter, guitarist and so much more. Even behind the drum kit, he had presence. All animal instinct, he never played anything quite the same way twice. He was a born showman. (read more)


Motionless In White have delivered a special Halloween treat to fans with the release of a brand new music video their brand new single "Werewolf".

The video was directed by Jensen Noen and the song comes from the band's latest album, "Scoring The End Of The World", which arrived back in June and debuted at the top of Billboard's Top Hard Rock Albums chart. (read more)


Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds have shared a special treat with fans with the first taste of their forthcoming studio album, the brand new single "Pretty Boy".

The track was recorded at Noel's studio in London, Lone Star Sound, and co-produced with Paul "Strangeboy" Stacey, it also features long-time friend and collaborator Johnny Marr on guitar. (read more)


International power metal band Them just released their brand new album, "Fear City", and to celebrate we asked them to tell us about the track, "Welcome to Fear City." Here is the story:

KK Fossor is a man who dies in the 1800s and is brought back by a toxic chemical spill in 1981 to finish a task of finding his Nemesis "Peter Thompson" and his descendants then destroying them. Peter Thompson (The last known witch hunter) was responsible for KK Fossor's family dying at the beginning of the album "Sweet Hollow". (continue)


Legendary late bassist for The Who, John Entwistle's camp are celebrating Halloween by sharing a brand new lyric video for the song "Bogeyman" featuring his late bandmate Keith Moon.

The track comes from the recently released "Rarities Oxhumed--Volume One", the first in a series of posthumous releases coming from John Entwistle as part of a new partnership with Deko Entertainment and longtime friend and collaborator Steve Luongo. (read more)


Hanoi Rocks icon Michael Monroe has released a music video for his brand new single, "Derelict Palace", which comes from his latest solo album, "I Live Too Fast To Die Young"

Guitarist Rich Jones said of the track, "'Derelict Palace' is about watching someone that you care about disappear into drug addiction. I had been listening to a lot of post-punk when I wrote it - Echo & The Bunnymen, Psychedelic Furs, The Church - and I wanted to see if we could push the band in that kind of musical direction". Exhumed have announced that Escuela Grind will be replacing Hulder on their upcoming U.S. headline tour in support of their brand new album, "To The Dead."

On Saturday night (October 29th), Coldplay's triumphant show at Buenos Aires' River Plate stadium - one of ten sold out nights at the venue - was broadcast live to cinema audiences in 81 countries around the world - a record-breaking number of countries for a live cinema event.

Marc Allenby, CEO, Trafalgar Releasing who broadcast the shows, said in the announcement, "We are delighted to be partnering again with the Coldplay team on this major live broadcast, having established a successful partnership with the 2018 documentary release A Head Full Of Dreams. (read more)


Jared James Nichols has premiered a music video for his brand new single, "Down The Drain", which is the follow-up to his previous track, "Hard Wired," that was born from a jam session with Tyler Bryant and Graham Whitford.
