(hennemusic) Judas Priest singer Rob Halford joined an all-star lineup to perform with Dolly Parton at the 2022 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony on Los Angeles on November 5.

As Rolling Stone notes, Parton led the evening’s all-star jam finale on her 1973 classic, “Jolene” – supported by the Zac Brown Band – alongside fellow new inductees Halford, Pat Benatar & Neil Gerlado, the Eurythmics’ Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart and Duran Duran’s Simon LeBon, as well as Brandi Carlile, and Pink, who inducted the country music icon. (hennemusic) Metallica celebrated the life, legacy and achievements of Megaforce Records founder Jon "Jonny Z" Zazula and his wife Marsha Zazula with a special show at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, F: on November 6.

The event saw the San Francisco, CA band perform an evening of songs exclusively from their first two albums – 1983's "Kill 'Em All" and 1984's "Ride The Lightning" - and featured a number of live rarities, including "Motorbreath", "No Remorse", "The Call of Ktulu", "Phantom Lord" and "Blitzkrieg", among others. (hennemusic) The Rolling Stones are streaming a new lyric video for their 1981 classic, ”Start Me Up.” Originally released as the lead single for the “Tattoo You” album, the song was a Top 10 hit in several countries while the album topped the US charts and went on to sell more than 4 million copies in the region.

“Tattoo You” featured a collection of previously-recorded tracks that were compiled from studio sessions over the course of a decade, with two songs – “Waiting On A Friend” and “Tops” – including guitar work by Mick Taylor, who left the group in 1974. (read more)

Footage of the opening track from White’s latest album was filmed during various stops on the 2022 trek and mixed with live audio from his August 13 show at The Armory in Minneapolis, MN. (read more)


(hennemusic) Alice In Chains star Jerry Cantrell is debuting a music video for his song “Prism Of Doubt”, which is the latest single from his 2021 album, “Brighten.”

Directed by Zoe Katz, the clip is for the track that sees the Alice In Chains rocker joined by Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, drummer Abe Laboriel, Jr. (Paul McCartney), and pedal steel master Michael Rozon, with backing vocals by Greg Puciato (Dillinger Escape Plan). (read more)

The 55th anniversary of The Moody Blues' legendary 'Days Of Future Past' album is being celebrated by the syndicated radio show In The Studio With Redbeard: The Stories Behind History's Greatest Rock Bands.

Redbeard had this to say, "The Moody Blues' Days of Future Passed stands even today as one of the pillars at the portal to Progressive Rock (the other being In the Court of the Crimson King about a year later), and on the 55th anniversary of this essential album, we have Justin Hayward and John Lodge as our guides here In the Studio. But you'll be surprised to find that much of the legend of Days of Future Passed is actually myth. (read more)

Coheed and Cambria vocalist / guitarist Claudio Sanchez elaborated on the SS Neverender noting, "At first, I was reluctant when the idea was initially presented to us but sharing that time with people that are equally passionate about this bizarre corner of Rock we've cultivated has made me a believer that this crazy outfit from nowhere, NY can do anything." David Crosby has released another live offering with the song "Guinnevere" from his forthcoming first ever solo live CD/DVD set, "David Crosby & The Lighthouse Band Live at the Capitol Theatre", which will arrive December 9th.

Continuing to forge new paths in his eighth decade, Crosby again joins forces with Becca Stevens, Michelle Willis and Michael League, the three musicians known as The Lighthouse Band, who he's been working with since 2016's Lighthouse album. (read more)


Hootie & the Blowfish return to their Carolina roots next year with a one-night-only headlining show at PNC Arena, home of the Carolina Hurricanes.

Set to take place on Friday, Feb. 17, the show serves as a pre-party for fans in advance of the Carolina Hurricanes' Outdoor Game, where they will face off against the Washington Capitals on Saturday, Feb. 18 at Carter-Finley Stadium. Joining the one-night-only concert as direct support is indie rock band SUSTO, who also hail from the Carolinas. (read more)


In Flames have released a video for their song "Foregone Pt. 2", the follow-up to Pt. 1, which both come from their forthcoming album, "Foregone".

The band will be releasing their 14th studio album on February 10th. Frontman Anders Friden had this to say, , "While revisiting songs in our catalog like 'Moonshield' and 'Gyroscope,' I felt we hadn't done that style for awhile. (read more)


Stephen McCarthy (Long Ryders, Jayhawks, Dream Syndicate) and Carla Olson (Textones, solo artist, producer) have released a music video for their new single "We Gotta Split This Town."

The song comes from their very first duet album, "Night Comes Falling", which will be hitting stores this Friday, November 11th. The video was directed by Tim Roth, who, explained Carla, "utilized his magical green screen technique to put Stephen and I in the same space at the same time." (read more)
