Metallica fans from around the world will be able to witness the legendary band's special two night 40th anniversary celebration from the Chase Center in San Francisco.

The band had this to say, "It's almost here... our 40th anniversary celebration is right around the corner! We're looking forward to hitting the stage in San Francisco at Chase Center with so many of our friends visiting from around the globe those two nights next week. (read more)


The Police have a special treat for fans this Christmas season. The band has shared a recently unearthed music video for their chart topping 1980 hit "Don't Stand So Close To Me".

The previously unseen video was found in the group's archives and was filmed in the winter of 1980 in Grey Rock, Quebec, Canada, in the same location as the "De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da" music video. (read more)


(hennemusic) The Rolling Stones paid tribute to Charlie Watts with a rare club show performance in London on December 6th. A member of the Stones since 1963, Watts passed away .in a London hospital on August 24 at the age of 80.

According to Rolling Stone, the private event at Ronnie Scott's - hosted by Charlie's granddaughter Charlotte and others members of the Watts family - saw a number of special guests join a house band led by Jools Holland to honor the legendary drummer before the surviving members of the Stones took the stage with members of their touring lineup for a pair of R&B classics: "Shame, Shame, Shame" and "Down The Road Apiece." (hennemusic) Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner streamed an extended jam session live on Instagram on December 5, just 10 weeks after undergoing emergency heart surgery.

The 90-minute stream saw Faulkner firing off an endless supply of riffs as fans responded with requests and messages of support for the rocker, as he recovers from treatment following a life-threatening incident on stage at the Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, KY on September 26. (hennemusic) Tom Petty has been honored with a posthumous doctoral degree in music from the University Of Florida. According to TampaBay.com, the trustees at the school voted unanimously at a December 3 board meeting to recognize the Petty's enduring legacy.

University provost Joseph Glover read a motion to award Thomas Earl Petty, the Gainesville-born rock icon who died in 2017, a posthumous doctoral degree in music. (read more)

French rockers Disconnected recently released their new single "Life Will Always Find Its Way" from their forthcoming album, "We Are Disconnected", and to celebrate we asked Ivan to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

In Disconnected we've been working in the same way for years now. My brother Adrian is writing all the music and arrangements and then he sends me the track to take care of the vocals and lyrics. I have to say that I've been inspired straight away by this track. To me this song definitely represents everything that this band is about. Strong hooks and gimmicks, groovy riffs and great melodies, choruses that will stick with you for a long time. And on top of the cake this song has a terrific breakdown, that let us imagine crazy energetic moments when we'll be able to perform it live. (continue)


AC/DC had a top 21 story from February 2021 after lead guitarist Angus Young has debunked the long-standing rumor that there are secret recordings of Bon Scott singing some of the songs from the band's blockbuster "Back In Black" album.

The band released the album in 1980, following Scott's death earlier in the year, and since then there has been speculation that Scott was involved in the songwriting for the effort and that there are even "top secret" recordings of Bon singing some of the tracks. (read more)

The rocker teamed up with Scooby, Shaggy and the crew on historic Route 66 after they encountered a mysterious group of mud men who stole the Mystery Machine. (read more)


Enuff Z'Nuff frontman Donnie Vie scored a top 21 story from February 2021 after he shared interview that he was hospitalized in 2019 and the doctor told him that he was going to die due to an issue with his pancreas.

The 56-year-old, who wrote and sang most of Enuff Z'nuff's most popular songs before leaving the group officially in 2013, shared the news during an appearance on the White Line Fever podcast. (read more)


Queen drummer Roger Taylor addressed rumors that the legendary band considered recruiting George Michael as their new frontman following the death of Freddie Mercury, which became a top 21 story from February 2021.

Taylor was asked about the rumors by Classic Rock Magazine and implied that the band never really considered Michael because he would not have been a good fit. (read more)

Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth had a top 21 story from February 2021 after he shared an art piece that explained how he got out of jury duty: Roth spent part of his time during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown creating original art that also acts as social commentary.

One piece of art that he shared in February declared "the internet we got hacked", but with another picture that he shared via social media, Roth explains how he got out of jury duty. (read more)


Glassjaw enjoyed a top 21 story from February 2021 after they shared a video of a live performance of their 2011 EP "Coloring Book" as part of their celebrations of the release's 10th anniversary.

The group performed the EP in full during a show at The Forum in London, England on March 30th of 2011 and they are streaming video of the performance, which was directed by Ben Thornley. (read more)

I was working at South Miami Hospital. I was the admission counselor for the addiction treatment center wing. Everyone came in there.
