Journey's iconic hit "Don't Stop Believin'" is among the 25 sound recordings that the Library Of Congress is adding to the National Recording Registry this year.

Former Journey frontman Steve Perry told the Library of Congress, "That song, over the years, has become something that has a life of its own. It's about the people who've embraced it and found the lyrics to be something they can relate to and hold onto and sing." (read more)


Legendary Queen guitarist Brian May have premiered a music video for his rare tribute version of Buddy Holly's rock 'n' roll classic 'Maybe Baby', which he had just released as a single.

Brian's version of the track is on the second disc of bonus tracks on the April 22 deluxe reissue of his second solo album, 1998's Another World. The second release in his Gold Series, it contains the remastered original album alongside Another Disc, which includes previously unreleased remixes, rarities, live tracks and cover versions. Motionless In White have shared a Max Moore directed music video for their brand new single "Masterpiece". The track comes from their forthcoming album, "Scoring The End of the World," which will arrive on June 10th.

Frontman Chris Motionless had this to say, "'Masterpiece' is a song which I feel embodies the raw and brutally honest nature of what makes Motionless In White. Punk icons the Circle Jerks have announced that they have been forced to postpone some current tour dates as frontman Keith Morris battles Covid-19.

They plan to resume the tour on April 26th with their scheduled show at The Mohawk in Austin. They had this to say, "We had hoped it wouldn't come to this, but our fearless singer, our dude, Keith Morris, is headed home to rest for 10 days as he recovers from COVID-19. (read more)


Caliban have premiered a music video for their brand new song "Virus," which features a guest appearance from Marcus Bischoff of Heaven Shall Burn".

Vocalist, Andreas Dorner had this to say, "It's not about a real virus like COVID, but about ideas planted in our heads that spread like one and eat us from the inside out. (read more)


The 69 Eyes have shared their brand new single "Drive", which is the first of several new tracks to be released in the coming months, as they continue work on their next album.

Guitarist Bazie had this to say, "The inspiration came from the same pool of music I have always liked, mostly from the '80s. I never plan anything; I just grab my guitar and see what comes up. (read more)


The previously unreleased Ray Charles Live In Stockholm 1972, which was just discovered in 2021, will be released on May 6th on vinyl and on all streaming services for the very first time.

Recorded on a magical night in Stockholm, this set faithfully captures great moments and arrangements often heard in Ray's live performances but rarely, if ever, on record. (read more)


20-year-old rising alt/pop star Luke Reyvn recently released his latest single "Another Day", and to celebrate we asked him to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

My new single "Another Day" is a song that feels like it's been in the making for a long time. Meaning, even though it was written fairly recently the experiences that were needed in order to create it are things that have been happening throughout my entire life. Coming from a small town I always felt like I didn't fit in with the other kids that I grew up with. I was always more interested in creativity and the act of creating rather than the popular physical activities which most of my peers grew up doing. This song is an expression of how I felt being the "outcast" and searching for "another day" where I might feel like I fit in. (continue)


The Rolling Stones have shared a trailer for their forthcoming expanded and remastered reissue of "Licked Live In NYC." We were sent the following details:

In 1964, The Rolling Stones arrived to absolute mayhem for their first show in NYC, after the release of their debut album The Rolling Stones. Having played New York City multiple times, at several venues, it was only fitting that in January 2003, as part of their 40th anniversary tour, they made it a point to return to New York's most celebrated arena... The Kills have shared a video for "No Wow (The Tchad Blake Mix 2022)" to celebrate the announcement of a limited edition 17th anniversary deluxe reissue of their sophomore album No Wow.

The reissue will feature two LPs - the original recording and a new mix by the multiple Grammy Award-winning Tchad Blake (The Black Keys, Fiona Apple, Arctic Monkeys) that brings a fresh perspective to the 11 tracks. (read more)


Dierks Bentley and Live Nation have revealed the lineup for Seven Peaks Music Festival which is taking place this Labor Day Weekend (Sept. 2 - Sept. 4) against the picturesque new location of Villa Grove, CO in the San Luis Valley.

The festival returns in its third edition with headliners Bentley and Morgan Wallen, with additional main stage performances by Boy Named Banjo, Ashley Cooke, Jordan Davis, Jackson Dean, Travis Denning, HARDY, Kendell Marvel, Ashley McBryde, Old Crow Medicine Show, Caitlyn Smith, Rapidgrass, Alana Springsteen and Lainey Wilson. Within Destruction have released a music video for their brand new single "Nightmare". The song follows the release of their 2020 studio album, "Yokai".

State Champs have released a music video for their brand new single "Eventually". The song comes ahead of their brand new album, "Kings Of The New Age", which will arrive on May 13th.

Metalcore rockers Under Auburn Skies have premiered a music video for their latest single "Afraid." The song comes from their 2021 EP "Invention of Reasoning".

Oscar Morales had this to say, "Having Ronnie was very entertaining to say the least haha. When we originally sent him the lyrics and melody, he wasn't a big fan of just copying the original melody of the pre-chorus so he gave it his own spin and it definitely helped make the lead up to the second chorus/solo a lot more climatic.
