(hennemusic) The Rolling Stones are sharing previously-unreleased video of a performance of their 1969 classic, "Gimme Shelter", as the latest preview to the June 10 release of an expanded and remastered reissue of their 2003 concert film, "Licked Live In NYC."

The song joins "Start Me Up", "Tumbling Dice" and "Sympathy For The Devil" as one of four previously-unavailable tracks from a show at Madison Square Garden during their 40th anniversary tour in the new package. (read more)


(hennemusic) Def Leppard are debuting a video for "Fire It Up", the latest single from their new album, 'Diamond Star Halos." The song follows "Kick" and "Take What You Want" as the third preview to the band's twelfth studio record, which was issued today, May 27.

"Diamond Star Halos" mixes the UK band's classic sound with early 1970s influences including David Bowie, T. Rex and Mott The Hoople, and features guest appearances by Alison Krauss and David Bowie pianist Mike Garson. (read more)


(hennemusic) David Bowie's estate is streaming a teaser video trailer for the forthcoming documentary, "Moonage Daydream", in sync with its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

Directed by Brett Morgen, the project is billed as "a new feature film, concert documentary and experiential cinematic odyssey" that follows Bowie's life and musical career. (read more)


(hennemusic) Former Oasis star Liam Gallagher is streaming a lyric video for "Diamond In The Dark", the latest single from his forthcoming album, "C'mon You Know."

The song follows "Everything's Electric", "Better Days" and the album's title track as the fourth preview to the May 27 release of the follow-up to 2019's "Why Me? Why Not." (read more)


(hennemusic) Metallica performed their 1991 Black Album classic, "Holier Than Thou", during a recent concert in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and the band are sharing video from the May 10 event.

The band is also streaming footage of the 2003 "St. Anger" rarity, "Dirty Window", from the appearance at the city's Estádio Do Morumbi. The show marked the first time in five years that Metallica performed in Sao Paulo; they last played there in 2017 as part of Lollapalooza Brazil. (read more)


Denver alt-rockers Suitable Miss just released their new album, "In Color", and to celebrate we asked Sarah Perez to tell us about the single "Forever" ft. Magnolia Park's Joshua Roberts. Here is the story:

The incredible thing about being in a band is that we are very close to one another. I'm so grateful to work with musicians who are also my best friends. A way that we often write songs is we sit down and have a conversation about our lives and what we're feeling passionate about at that time. Our best songs come from real life experiences. Honestly, a lot of the songs come from my own personal heartbreak that I've had to endure throughout my life. The meaning of our song "Forever" really comes down to being in a toxic relationship and holding onto it, even when you know it's bad for you. The self-convincing can be catastrophic to your mental health. (continue)

Craft Recordings have shared a brand-new music video for Creedence Clearwater Revival's 1970 hit, "Travelin' Band," from their fifth studio album Cosmo's Factory.

The video offers a rare glimpse of the band on the road in 1969 and 1970-at the height of their international success-as the camera follows them from brightly lit stages to the hodgepodge of planes, buses, motorcycles and more, that brought them to perform for their growing number of adoring fans. A Perfect Circle's Billy Howerdel has shared his brand new track "Selfish Hearts", as he continues to release one new song a week ahead of his new album, "What Was Normal," which will arrive on June 10th.

Billy had this to say about the song, "No matter how many different track listings I tried, 'Selfish Hearts' always felt like the right song to welcome listeners to What Normal Was. Sometimes a chord change can give me chills. 'Selfish Hearts' does that for me." (read more)


To celebrate the May 25 birthday of her close friend, Fountains of Wane guitarist Jody Porter, Riotgrrl, singer-songwriter and musician Kelly Buchanan is releasing a special homage to him with the infectious single "You Are The Fix" by her latest musical endeavor, Dimestore Dolls.

The track was co-written with their mutual friend--the late Fountains of Wayne bassist and songwriter Adam Schlesinger prior to his passing in 2020 due to complications from COVID-19. The surviving members of Fountains of Wayne also contributed to the song: lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Chris Collingwood and drummer Brian Young provide guest vocals and the song's subject, Porter, plays lead guitar as well as lending vocals. "You Are The Fix" will be available on all digital platforms Friday, May 27th. (read more)
