(hennemusic) Queen and Adam Lambert will perform at Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace on June 4. As part of the Queen's anniversary marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth, Queen and Lambert will open the concert with a very special one-off production which will no doubt summon memories of Brian May's historic appearance on the Palace roof at the Golden Jubilee Concert in 2002.

"Twenty years after playing The Queen's glorious Golden Jubilee we're very happy to be invited again," says May. "Then there was a moment when I wondered ... after Buckingham Palace roof where can you go? Well ... you will see!!!" (read more)


Def Leppard have shared a visualizer video for their brand new single "Fire It Up". The track comes from their forthcoming album "Diamond Star Halos", which is set to be released May 27th.

They have also announced special plans for the release of the video for the track next Thursday, May 26th. They will premiere the music video for 'Fire It Up', followed by a YouTube Premiere-exclusive afterparty. (read more)


Asking Alexandria have released a new single a music video called "Faded Out" featuring Sharon den Adel of Within Temptation, which is set to appear on the soundtrack for "The Retaliators". We were sent the following details:

Directed by Michael Lombardi, the official music video is a creative play on the wildly popular Apple TV+ series Severance, interspersed with scenes of Asking Alexandria and Within Temptation performing the song. (read more)


Rhino have announced that they will be celebrating Ronnie James Dio's 80th Birthday with special super deluxe reissue of Dio's 1983 debut album, "Holy Diver", on July 8th.

The super deluxe edition will be a 4-CD collection will include two versions of the album. The first is a new mix of the album made by Joe Barresi (Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, Slipknot). He used the original analog tapes to remix all nine tracks on the album. (read more)


ZZ Top have released a music video for their new single, "Tube Snake Boogie". The track comes from their forthcoming "Raw" album, which will be released on July 22nd. We were sent the following details:

Like the other 11 selections on RAW, it was recorded at Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, TX. The classic honky-tonk setting, dating back to 1878, was chosen for an unfettered, roots-oriented recording session that is chronicled in the Grammy-nominated documentary ZZ Top: That Little Ol' Band from Texas. Directed by Sam Dunn and released by Banger Films, the feature offers insight into the history of the band's classic line-up: Billy Gibbons, Frank Beard and Dusty Hill. (read more)


Music legends Chicago have released their first new music in over 8 years in the form of their brand new single "If This Is Goodbye". The track comes ahead of their summer coheadlining tour with Beach Boys icon Brian Wilson.

(hennemusic) Metallica rocked their Black Album classic, "Sad But True", during a May 7 show in Curitiba, Brazil, and the band are streaming video from the event.

The tune was the fifth single from the self-titled 1991 record, which delivered the band's commercial breakthrough as Metallica's first record to top the US charts while going on to sell 16 million copies in the country and more than 31 million worldwide. (read more)


Valerian Sun, the all-star trio featuring James Wolpert (The Voice season 5, Jon-Mikel Valudes (From Ashes To New), and Trek Alexander (Guitar Hero 2006) just released their new single "The Burnout" and to celebrate we asked James to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

It might seem like a pretty straightforward glam-rock explosion, but there's actually a bit more to it. We started conceptually at the (pretty ubiquitous) idea of garden variety 'burn out' -- laboring too hard, for too long, at unfulfilling work. However, as we moved deeper into the lyric-writing process, we started to touch on some subtler ideas in that vein. (continue)
