KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer says in a new interview that the band "is not going away" following the final show of their End Of The Road farewell tour.

(hennemusic) Motley Crue are streaming a remastered HD version of the video for their 1982 single, "Live Wire." First featured on the band's 1981 independent release of their debut album, "Too Fast For Love", the clip originally surfaced in sync with the re-launch of the project the following year after the group signed with Elektra Records.

Remixed by producer Roy Thomas Baker, the major label release introduced Motley Crue to music fans outside the Los Angeles scene, where they were regulars on the Sunset Strip club circuit since their formation in January of 1981, with singer Vince Neil completing the lineup three months later. Metalocalypse co-creator and Dethklok guitarist Brendon Small took to Twitter on Friday (August 5th) to reveal that his studio was broken into and asked fans to be on the lookout for a number of stolen guitars.

The break-in occurred as Dethklok were preparing for their first live appearance in almost three years, as coheadliners of the 2022 Adult Swim Festival Block Party, with their set taking place on Sunday (August 7th) at The Fillmore in Philadelphia. (read more)


(hennemusic) The Eagles legend Joe Walsh will perform a guest residency on CBS-TV's The Late Show with Stephen Colbert during the week of Monday, August 8.

The Eagles guitarist and solo artist will sit in with Jon Batiste's house band Stay Human for the series of late night programs, following similar appearances in the past few weeks by St. Vincent and James Taylor. (read more)


Sabaton have release an animated video for their song "The Red Baron", which tells the story of Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, who inspired the song.

The track comes from the band's 2019 album, "The Great War" and the band had this to say about the video, : "We've joined forces with our friends at Yarnhub to bring you this animated story video for our song, 'The Red Baron'. (read more)


(hennemusic) Ann Wilson rocked the Heart classic, "Barracuda", during an August 6 appearance at the Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany, and pro-shot video of the performance is streaming online.

On the road in support of her latest album, "Fierce Bliss", the singer delivered an 11-song set of solo tracks, Heart classics and covers of songs by Led Zeppelin, The Who and Alice In Chains. (read more)


Stone Temple Pilots, King's X, former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler, and ZO2 joined forces at the end of last month to perform "D.A.V.E. JAM," the first live benefit for the David Z Foundation (DZF) for music education and programming supporting underprivileged children around the world.

The concert, which was held Saturday, July 30 at the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater in Peekskill, NY, raised over $90,000 thanks to ticket sales and an exclusive autographed guitar auction with axes signed by Ace Frehley, Stone Temple Pilots, King's X, Steven Adler, Extreme, Buckcherry, and Fozzy. 100 percent net proceeds will be donated directly to DZF, which was created by David Z's brother Paulie Z, who performed in the power trio ZO2 with him and starred alongside him in their own TV series "Z Rock" on the IFC network. Known together as "The Z Brothers," they were very active in developing young people through music and to continue the legacy, the DZF was created to raise money for music education in David Z's memory. I had been listening to an interview with The Wombats breaking down their song "Greek Tragedy," and they were talking about how they start their songs with a title then work from there. I found that an extremely intriguing idea as I usually start my songs with a melodic hook. (continue)
