KISS co-founder Gene Simmons shared in a new interview that the band had discussed with Survivor producer Mark Burnett the idea of creating a television competition show like American Idol to find a new lineup of members to carry on the group after the current members retired.

Simmons made the comments during an appearance on the Let There Be Talk podcast to discuss the group's ongoing The End of the Road Farewell Tour and Gene assured host Dean Delray that the final KISS show would be the last one to feature the current members. (read more)


Machine Gun Kelly took over the city of Cleveland for a variety of events to celebrate his homecoming. Justin Bibb, the Mayor of Cleveland, presented Machine Gun Kelly with an official proclamation declaring August 13 as MGK Day.

Surrounded by friends, family and fans, the bonafide rockstar was all smiles during the celebration at his local 27 Club Coffee shop. Additionally, Cleveland turned the whole city pink by lighting up several city landmarks: the FirstEnergy Stadium (Cleveland Browns), the Progressive Field (MLB Guardians) scoreboard, Terminal Tower, Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, and lastly, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Machine Gun Kelly capped off the historic weekend with an action-packed, high-energy performance at FirstEnergy Stadium, where he became the first Cleveland native to sell out the 50,000-seat venue. The Ghost Inside have announced their very first 'Rebirthday Bash' Festival in Las Vegas that will be taking place at the Brooklyn Bowl on November 18th and 19th.

They will be headline both nights of the festival with the first show featuring a set of their greatest hits, and the second one will feature a performance of their full 2012 album "Get What You Give" in its entirety. (read more)


(hennemusic) Clutch are premiering a video for their new single, "Slaughter Beach". "The lyrics for 'Slaughter Beach' were inspired by a late night walk along the southern Delaware Bay," says Neil Fallon. "Odd things happen there."

"Slaughter Beach" follows the lead track, "Red Alert (Boss Metal Zone)", and follow-up, "We Strive For Excellence", as the latest preview to the Maryland band's forthcoming album, "Sunrise On Slaughter Beach." (read more)


Alexisonfire have premiered a music video for their new single "Mistaken Information." The song comes from the band's first new album in over 13-years, "Otherness", which arrived earlier this summer.

According to Atom Splitter, the video was directed by Nedda Afsari and the creative team at Muted Widows, who also shot the album artwork. The same models and actors are featured in the Otherness artwork - and the cinematic clip charts the course of the album art. (read more)


Oceano have released a music video for their new single "Mass Produced". The song was mixed and mastered by Joey Sturgis, and is the group's new music since 2017's "Revelation".

Frontman Adam Warren had this to say, "As we unleash 'Mass Produced' it signifies a new chapter for Oceano. I'm very excited for Oceano fans everywhere to enjoy this song and video. (read more)


The Cult will be celebrating the release of their new studio album, "Under The Midnight Sun", by wrapping up their early fall tour dates at the iconic Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

The concert will be taking place on October 9th, two days after the album arrives. The record will feature the band's recently released single, "Give Me Mercy". (read more)


Silverstein are gearing up to return to the road later this month to launch a North American coheadline tour with The Amity Affliction, that will feature support from Holding Absence and UnityTX.

The trek is scheduled to kick off next Thursday, August 25th in Phoenix, AZ at the Marquee Theatre and will wrap up with a hometown show in Toronto on Sunday, October 2nd at History. (read more)


Hootie & the Blowfish is pleased to announce the return of their destination concert vacation - HootieFest: The Big Splash.

Hosted January 25 - 28, 2023 on a picturesque stretch of white sand beach at Moon Palace Cancun, the four-day celebration of all things rock will feature three headlining performances on the beach by the Grammy Award-winning band, as well as appearances by Gin Blossoms, Collective Soul, Everclear and Edwin McCain. The melodic death metal project Act Of Denial have announced that they are in the recording studio and working on the follow-up to their 2021 debut album, "Negative".

Luger and Voi Cox, the co-founders of this project, confirmed that they are currently in the studio working on their new album and have a brand new single although the lineup has not been confirmed yet. (read more)


T. Graham Brown has taken the lyrics to his song "Hell and High Water" and created a "Come Hell Or High Water" t-shirt for people to purchase at his website and at The Kentucky State Fair to bring much-needed financial support to the devastated communities in Kentucky. T-Shirts are $25 with proceeds being provided directly to Kentuckians in need.

"I remember when Nashville flooded and how everyone stood together and we worked as a family to help our fellow neighbor. My heart says we need to do that very same thing now," says T. Graham Brown. Alcatrazz have released a new music video for their track "House Of Lies." The song comes from the band's latest album, "V", which was released last fall.
