(hennemusic) Rare, unearthed video footage of Led Zeppelin's September 4, 1970 concert at the LA Forum has surfaced after five decades in storage and is now streaming online.

As Rolling Stone reports, the film was shot by a fan named Eddie Vincent, who snuck a Kodak Brownie 8mm camera into the arena. "When my friends and I got to the Forum, I tucked it under my jacket," Vincent says in the introduction to the video. "There weren't any problems at the door back in those days. The seats were excellent, first row behind the stage. We were behind John Bonham's gong, so you couldn't really see him much, but the sound was great." (read more)


Nickelback have released their brand new single, "San Quentin", to celebrate the announcement that they will be releasing their first new album in five years, entitled "Get Rollin", on November 18th.

The band had this to say about the 10-track album, "We've spent the last few years making a record at a pace that gave us the freedom to create and we can't wait for everyone to hear the new music. (read more)


(hennemusic) Wolfgang Van Halen rocked a pair of Van Halen classics at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert on September 3 at London's Wembley Stadium, and a mix of pro-shot and fan-filmed video has surfaced online.

The guitarist was joined by Dave Grohl on bass, Justin Hawkins of The Darkness on vocals, and drummer Josh Freese for spot-on versions of "On Fire" from Van Halen's 1978 debut and "Hot For Teacher" from the "1984" album. (read more)


We Came As Romans have released a music video for their brand new song, "Golden". The track comes from their forthcoming album 'Darkbloom' which is set for release on October 14th.

Guitarist Joshua Moore shared how late frontman Kyle Pavone inspired the song, "'Golden' is a song that's really close to our hearts. I wrote the verse lyrics about the day that Kyle passed, that morning when we got the call, and the emotion we felt. (read more)


Puscifer, who have released a companion remix collection for each of their studio albums, have assembled the band's most personal collection of remixers to date for Existential Reckoning: Rewired (December 9).

The 12-song album offers a track-for-track re-imaging of the songs from the 2020 album, Existential Reckoning. Puscifer band members Mitchell and Carina Round, along with current touring musicians Greg Edwards (Failure) and Gunnar Olsen reinterpret tracks from the prophetic, electro-laced record. (hennemusic) The Cult are premiering the track, "A Cut Inside", as the latest preview to their forthcoming album, "Under The Midnight Sun," which will arrive early next month.

The tune follows the lead single, "Give Me Mercy", as the second song issued in advance of the October 7 release of the band's 11th studio set, which they recorded with producer Tom Dalgety (Pixies, Ghost, Royal Blood) at Rockfield Studios in Wales. (read more)


(hennemusic) Black Star Riders are streaming "Pay Dirt", the new single from their forthcoming album, "Wrong Side Of Paradise."

The song follows "Better Than Saturday Night" as the second preview to the UK band's fifth studio record, which was recorded in the autumn of 2021 at Studio 606 in Northridge, CA and Toochtoon Sound in Redmond, OR with producer and longtime BSR associate, Jay Ruston. (read more)


Joanne Shaw Taylor has shared her new song, "Just No Getting Over You (Dream Cruise)", which is the first single from her forthcoming album, "Nobody's Fool," that will be released on October 28th.

The new album, recorded at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, is produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith and features Joe Bonamassa on "Won't Be Fooled Again," guitarist Carmen Vandenberg (Bones UK) on "Figure It Out," cellist Tina Guo on "Fade Away" and music legend Dave Stewart on a cover of the Eurythmics classic "Missionary Man." Blake Shelton will return to the road in 2023 for his headlining Back to the Honky Tonk Tour, kicking off on Feb. 16 in Lincoln, NE. Set to join the lineup are reigning ACM Female Artist / CMA Female Vocalist of the year Carly Pearce and rising artist Jackson Dean.

Tickets for the 18-date run will go on sale Friday, Sept. 16 and Friday, Sept. 23. "There's nothing like getting out on the road and taking music to the fans," Shelton said. "I feel just as excited to step on stage and perform as I did the very first time. I know my tour mates Carly Pearce and Jackson Dean feel the same, and I can't wait for y'all to get to know them better. Break out the hats and boots, 'cause we're going back to the honky tonk!" Baltimore alt-rockers isilme recently released their new video and single, "In the Dark", and to celebrate we asked Jayne McCullough to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

When I first listened to the guitar demo that Eric (guitarist, vocalist) had written, that would eventually turn into "In The Dark," there was a soft and yearning feeling that immediately jumped out. The first lyrics I wrote down, I was trying to describe that wonderful, terrifying sensation of finding yourself deeply in love with someone. That dreamlike moment when you wake up in the night and feel the weight of them next to you. It's dark, time isn't real, and you're just laying there listening to them breathe, full of all these emotions. It's painfully vulnerable and exhilarating at the same time. (continue)
