(hennemusic) Slash is sharing an update on Guns N' Roses plans to release an expanded reissue package featuring their classic "Use Your Illusion" albums, possibly this coming summer.

Following a 2018 edition of the "Appetite For Destruction - Locked N' Loaded Box Set", fans have been expecting a similar package for the "Use Your Illusion I" and "Use Your Illusion II" records, which were both originally released on the same day in September of 1991. (read more)


(hennemusic) The Foo Fighters canceled a scheduled December 12 performance at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after a band member was reportedly rushed to a Chicago, IL hospital while the band were en route to the event.

According to a report by the Middle East media outlet The National, the group flew by private plane from Los Angeles to Chicago, where they would then board an Etihad Airways flight direct to Abu Dhabi. (read more)


(hennemusic) Led Zeppelin are streaming video of a performance of "Rock And Roll" from their legendary 2007 reunion show in London, UK. The song was the final encore by the group at the O2 Arena, where they headlined a tribute to friend and Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun.

The rare event - which featured Jason Bonham behind the drums in place of his late father John - saw 20 million people apply for tickets through a worldwide lottery to the band's first headline show in 27 years, which took place before 18,000 ticket holders at the London venue. (read more)


Los Angeles rockers Give In recently released their new single "Flinch" and to celebrate we asked Chase Eden to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

It started with a girl. Surprising, I know. Anyway, I'd been at her house and it hadn't been a tranquil visit so I was leaving late. A little too late, in hindsight, but homeward bound I was. As I was driving, young lust was being replaced by exhaustion and I could feel my eyes getting heavier and heavier. I turned up the Parkway Drive I already had blaring, bit my tongue, and kept driving. (continue)


Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger scored a top 21 story from April 2021 after he released a surprise collaborative song with Foo Fighter's Dave Grohl entitled "Eazy Sleazy" along with an accompanying music video.

Mick penned the song during the pandemic lockdown and he had this to say, "It's a song that I wrote about coming out of lockdown, with some much needed optimism. Thanks to Dave Grohl for jumping on drums, bass and guitar, it was a lot of fun working with him. - hope you all enjoy Eazy Sleazy". (read more)


Sammy Hagar had a top 21 story from April 2021 after explained that it was Eddie Van Halen that shot down the suggestion that the band change their name to Van Hagar after Sammy took over lead vocals when David Lee Roth left the band in the mid 1980s.

The topic of the suggested name change resurfaced in a recent interview with bassist Michael Anthony and Sammy was asked about it during a chat with Los Angeles radio station KLOS host Marci Wiser. (read more)


The death of Jim Steinman, best known as the composer behind Meat Loaf's blockbuster "Bat Out Of Hell" album, April 19th at the age of 73, was a top 21 story from April 2021.

The acclaimed composer, lyricist and producer also worked with artist ranging from Celine Dion to Bonnie Tyler, but his most noted collaborations were with Meat Loaf on the Bat Out Of Hell albums. (read more)


Mudvayne earned a top 21 story from April 2021 when announced that they were reuniting and and would perform together for the first time in 12 years at all four Danny Wimmer Presents U.S. festivals this year.

The reunited group were recruited for headline sets at the Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival in Ohio, and to take the stage at the Louder Than Life in Kentucky, Aftershock in California and Welcome To Rockville in Florida. (read more)


Fear Factory has a top 21 story from April 2021 after they released their first new song in almost six years. The track, "Disruptor," was the lead single from their album, "Aggression Continuum", and featured the vocals of departed frontman Burton C. Bell.

The vocalist quit the band last year soon after guitarist Dino Cazares launched a crowd funding campaign to make improvements to the album that was recorded in 2017. (read more)


Alan Jackson enjoyed a top 21 story from April 2021 after he released a new song called "You'll Always Be My Baby" that was written for his daughter's weddings. The song comes from his forthcoming album.

The new album was entitled "Where Have You Gone" and was released on May 14th. Jackson himself wrote the new song by himself without any collaborators. (read more)


A fun mashup of two classic songs from Van Halen and Metallica earned a top 21 story from April 2021: What do you get when you mix Van Halen's classic hit "Panama" with Metallica frontman belting out the lyrics to "Enter Sandman" over it? You get Mike G's "Enter Panaman" mashup.

The new mashup video that mixes the Van Halen track from their "1984" album with the megahit from Metallica's Black Album was created on YouTube guitar instructor Mike G who publishes under The-Art-Of-Guitar". (read more)
