Sammy Hagar's Beach Bar Cocktail Co. marked the 17th anniversary of the murder of Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbott by shared a video clip of SiriusXM's Jose Mangin showing the former Van Halen frontman the VinDimeLimo.

In the clip, Hagar once again recalled being asked by Pantera's former manager to join the group to replace Phil Anselmo. Sammy said that this manager told him that the band "want[ed] me to be the lead singer of the band. And he asked me, 'Would you be interested?' (read more)


Former Journey frontman Steve Perry has released a visualizer video for his take on "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas". The track comes from his Christmas album, "The Season".

Perry said of the tracks on the album, "All the songs on this record were my favorites growing up. I used to hear them on the Philco radio that my grandmother always had on in the kitchen when she was cooking the most amazing holiday food, and because of that they hold a very emotional place in my heart. I wanted to make sure to record them all in a simple way that honors how I first heard and fell in love with them as a child." (read more)


(hennemusic) ZZ Top have reportedly sold the rights to their music catalog to BMG and KKR for an estimated $50 million. According to Variety, the agreement includes a buyout of the band's publishing catalogue and their income from recorded royalties and performance royalties.

ZZ Top - who released their debut album in 1971 and released 14 more over the course of their 50-year career - have sold more than 50 million albums worldwide. (read more)


Meshuggah shared the bad news with fans via social media on Tuesday (December 21st) that they have been forced to postpone their U.S. tour for medical reasons.

They wrote, "We regret to inform that Meshuggah will have to reschedule their U.S. headline tour. While the ongoing pandemic has been throwing various curve balls on us all the past year, ultimately delaying the completion of the upcoming Meshuggah studio album - there are other concerns that have forced us to make this unfortunate decision. (hennemusic) Metallica performed a number of rare tracks during the second of two 40th anniversary concerts that took place in San Francisco, CA over the weekend.

Following a December 17 appearance at the city's Chase Center, Metallica closed out their weekend celebrations with a December 19 show that included six songs they haven't played live in close to a decade. (read more)

Gasoline is about human desire, which often burns people up. Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson earned a top 21 story from July 2021 after he said during an interview he sees no way for Rush to exist again following the death of Neal Peart, but he is open to working with Geddy Lee again, .

Lifeson made the comments during an appearance on the SiriusXM show Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk. He said, I think, really, Rush ended in 2015. There's no way Rush will ever exist again because Neil's not here to be a part of it. (read more)
