All of the dates of Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth's residency show in Las Vegas at the House Of Blues inside Mandalay Bay have been canceled.

Organizers originally canceled the first two dates of the residency on December 31st and January 1st due to concern over the ongoing pandemic, and they have now pulled the plug on the full run of shows. (read more)


A federal judge has granted Nirvana's motion to dismiss a lawsuit filed by Spencer Elden over his nude depiction as a baby on the cover of their Nevermind album. But the case can be resurrected.

On Monday (January 3rd), US District Court in Central California Judge Fernando M. Olguin dismissed the case "with leave to amend," after Elden's camp failed to respond to the Nirvana legal team's filing to the lawsuit last month. (read more)


The Crowleys recently released their latest single "Lampshade" and to celebrate we asked Stuart Downie, who wrote the lyrics, to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

Lampshade is being released via Wel-Pel Records, a small independent label in Hamilton, ON. It is the second single to be released in preparation for The Crowleys' debut full-length album. Continuing with the dystopian theme of their previous single (Somnia), the song follows a protagonist longing for a pre-apocalyptic world. Stylistically evoking a bright, care-free energy, Lampshade is a departure from Somnia's dark, broodiness. So leave your bags, run-away, and forget all about the end-of-days. (continue)


Chris Daughtry had a top 21 story from November 2021 after he postponed the remaining date of his current U.S. tour to return home after the tragic death of his stepdaughter Hannah. The 25-year-old was founded dead in her Nashville home of Friday (November 12th) by local police.

Slipknot percussionist M. Shawn Crahan (aka Clown) had a top 21 story from November 2021 after he was forced to miss the band's appearance at the Welcome To Rockville Festival this weekend due to an injury.

Clown shared an update via Instagram and explained that he underwent surgery on November 12th after he suffered a torn bicep tendon during the band's set at Knotfest Los Angeles concert back on November 5th. (read more)

Written and directed by Dave Grohl, the clip stars Sudeikis as coach of a synchronized swim team, delivering a pep talk before a competition that reveals the faces of the band members superimposed on to the athletes' heads. (read more)

The pair's first trek in 12 years will kick off a 3-week US series at CMAC in Canandaigua, NY on June 1, before they join The Eagles for a show in London's Hyde Park in late June, after which they'll perform a 3-week run across Europe. (read more)

The Red Rocker shared the news in an interview with Joe Rock of San Antonio's classic rock station 106.7 The Eagle while promoting his upcoming "A Toast To Texas" tour.

Candlebox had a top 21 story from November 2021 after they released a brand new acoustic rendition of their song "Riptide", which was produced by Peter Cornell, brother of the late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell.

(hennemusic) Aerosmith scored a top 21 story from November 2021 after it was revealed that their 1975 classic album, "Toys In The Attic", leads a new series of US sales milestones for the Boston band. The Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA) has certified the group's third studio record as 9x platinum for sales of 9 million copies in the region.

Digital versions of two of the album's legendary singles were also recognized in the music industry association's latest update, with "Sweet Emotion" reaching 3x Platinum for sales of 3 million copies, and "Walk This Way" for 2x Platinum after reaching the 2 million sales mark. (read more)


Luke Combs had a top 21 story from November 2021 after celebrated winning the Entertainer of the Year at the 55th Annual CMA Awards with the release of a brand new single and video called "Doin' This", after performing the song live for the first time during the CMA Awards broadcast.

He had this to say, "This song means a lot to me personally. Not to recite the lyrics, but for me, it's truly about playing country music for a crowd, whether that's 70 people or 70,000 people, and playing country music with my buddies in the band. (read more)
