Shinedown have released a cinematic music video for their brand new single "Planet Zero". The chart topping song is the title track to the band's forthcoming album, which will be hitting stores on April 22nd.

Brent Smith had this to say about the new video, "We wanted the first visual of Planet Zero to be unlike anything we have done previously. We chose to work with visionary director Charles De Meyer. (read more)


Iron Maiden have announced that they have been forced to pull the plugs on the planned Russian and Ukraine shows of their 2022 Legacy Of The Beast World Tour.

The band had this to say, "We are very sorry to announce that due to the ongoing situation in Ukraine, the promoters have cancelled the two Iron Maiden shows scheduled for May 29th in Kyiv and June 1st in Moscow on the 2022 Legacy Of The Beast World Tour. (read more)


(hennemusic) Jack White has teamed up with Q-Tip for a brand new track called "Hi-De-Ho," the latest single from the Detroit rocker's forthcoming album, "Fear Of The Dawn."

White explains that the collaboration with the A Tribe Called Quest figurehead and acclaimed artist and producer was inspired by the 1931 Cab Calloway hit, "Minnie The Moocher", which the jazz singer famously delivered in the 1980 film, "The Blues Brothers." (read more)


(hennemusic) Metallica are streaming pro-shot video of a performance of their 1991 classic, "Wherever I May Roam", from a February 25 concert at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV.

The band's first performance of 2022 is one of only a handful of US dates they've announced so far, which include appearances at two festivals - Bottlerock in Napa Valley, CA and Boston Calling - in late May, and the recently-revealed stadium shows in Buffalo, NY and Pittsburgh, PA in August. New York alt-rockers RODERIK recently released their new single and video, "American Dream", and to celebrate we asked Jake Salazar to tell us about the song. Here is the story:

Prior to writing American Dream, I had written a bunch of songs that felt like we're stretching the boundaries of what I traditionally wrote as a songwriter. In that timespan, I wrote a few songs that had a more angsty and driven vibe to them, one being our first single, Save Me. That's why when I sat down to write American Dream, I felt like I wanted a bit of a return to my pop punk, alternative roots. Something with an old school emo, pop punk feel but with a modern twist. That's how I came about working in the electronic elements into the verse. (continue)
