Wolfgang Van Halen shared in an interview this past week that he is "ready to get back in the studio" to begin work on Mammoth WVH's sophomore album.

The band is currently on their Young Guns coheadlining tour with Dirty Honey and Wolfgang made an appearance on SiriusXM's Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk last Thursday (February 24th). (read more)


The Foo Fighters' horror comedy "Studio 666" has been labeled a flop by Billboard after the film came in at No. 8 at the U.S. box office for its opening weekend.

"Studio 666" grossed an estimated $1.6 million after it opened at 2,306 theaters, with "Uncharted" claiming the top spot this week during its second week in theaters with a gross of $23.3 million, according to the report. (read more)


Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant's new group Saving Grace have announced that they will be launching a UK Tour this spring that will feature support from Scott Matthews.

The tour is set to begin on April 8th at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill and will conclude on May 1st with an appearance at the Jazz Fest in Cheltenham. (read more)


(hennemusic) David Bowie's social media team are premiering previously-unreleased video of a 2000 performance of a pair of vintage tracks that were re-recorded for the recently-available "Toy" album.

The music icon can be seen delivering two mid-1960s songs - "I Dig Everything" and "The London Boys" - live at the BBC Radio Theatre, with the band that played his Glastonbury set that same year, following which they entered a New York City studio to record the "Toy" album. (read more)


AWOLNATION have premiered an animated video for their cover of the Midnight Oil classic "Beds Are Burning," which features a guest appearance from Tim McIlrath of Rise Against.

Country music legend Johnny Cash's 90th birthday was celebrated on Saturday (February 26th) with the placement of a Tennessee Music Pathways in Hendersonville, TN.

His team shared the news via social media, "Johnny Cash was honored on what would have been his 90th birthday with the installation of a 'Tennessee Music Pathways' marker in Hendersonville. (read more)


Former Accept frontman Udo Dirkschneider has shared his take on the Queen classic "We Will Rock You." The song is the first single from Udo's forthcoming covers album, "My Way".

Hollywood Undead have released a visualizer video for their brand new single "CHAOS," which was produced by WZRD BLD (Lil Wayne, Bullet For My Valentine, Lil Peep).

Zander Schloss (best known as longtime bassist for the Circle Jerks and musical director for Joe Strummer) has premiered a new music video for his song "I Have Loved The Story Of My Life".

The video features uncanny marionettes of Schloss from the many different phases of his life, including his acting roles in numerous Alex Cox films, his time working with Joe Strummer, playing bass with the Circle Jerks and Weirdos, all leading up to present-day Zander Schloss. The track comes from Schloss' forthcoming debut solo record Song About Songs, which will be out on March 4 via Blind Owl Records. (read more)


Fozzy have announced that they will be launching their Save The World Tour of the U.S. next month that will feature special guests GFM, KrashKarma, and The Nocturnal Affair.

The tour is scheduled to kick off on March 31st in Detroit, MI at St Andrew's Hall and will run until May 16th where they will be wrapping it up in Sauget, IL at Pop's. (read more)


Washington, D.C. rockers Bottled Up have premiered a music video for their new single "Heart & Soul". The track comes from their forthcoming album, "Grand Bizzare", which will arrive on May 27th.

Slightly Stoopid have announced the first round of dates for their Summer Traditions 2022 tour, which is a nod to the summer outdoor amphitheater circuit the band has performed annually since 2007 but hasn't taken place for the last two years due to the pandemic.

The Summer Traditions 2022 tour will also feature special guests Pepper, Common Kings, and Fortunate Youth and is set to kick off on July 7th in Bonner, MT. (read more)


Jon Pardi has announced that he will be hitting the road this summer for his Ain't Always The Cowboy Tour, which will feature support from Lainey Wilson and Hailey Whitters.

The Ain't Always The Cowboy Tour is set to kick off on July 14th in Irving, TX at the Toyota Music Factory - Texas Lottery Plaza and will wrap up on October 1st in Nashville, TN at Ascend Amphitheatre. (read more)

Drew Green has released his first new track of 2022, an autobiographical song called, "Good Ol' Man," that he cowrote with Josh Miller, Lee Star and the producer of the track, Mark Trussell.

Green had this to say about the new single, "We wrote this song when I was new at being a father. When we came up with the line 'good ol' boy, trying to be a good ol' man,' it really stood out. It was such a moment for me. (read more)


Acclaimed vocalist and songwriter Brodie Dawson just released a new single called "Paycheck" (from her forthcoming "Wholehearted" album) and to celebrate we asked her to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

Paycheck is a light-hearted song I wrote to make fun of myself and my relationship to money! One summer a few years back I took a contract job as a Coordinator for a festival production and had gotten paid a nice little chunk of change. So I did what any normally 'poor' bloke would do - immediately went out on a shopping spree and promptly spent it all! (I had buyer's remorse for sure, but I looked damn good!) After the initial buzz wore off though, I got the calendar out, gulped & started sweating, counting the days until my next paycheck, realizing I'd forgotten to pay a few bills... I could hear my Mom's voice in the back of my mind, telling me I needed to start saving for my future yadda yadda. And with that calendar in my hand, this song came to me and I started scribbling it all down across the pages. (continue)
