Organizers of Creatures Fest 2022 have announced that original lineup Peter Criss has been added to the special three day event taking place over Memorial Day Weekend

Criss joins a line-up that includes former KISS alumni, Ace Frehley, Vinnie Vincent, and Bruce Kulick. Organizers state, "Three days and nights of live music, an Expo, panel discussions, Meet & Greets and more!! For the first time EVER, Ace Frehley, Vinnie Vincent and Bruce Kulick will be performing at the same event, along with other amazing bands!" (read more)


Former Screaming Trees frontman and Queens Of The Stone Age member, Mark Lanegan, passed away on Tuesday morning (February 22nd) at the age of 57.

The news was broken to fans via Mark's official Twitter account with the following tweet, "Our beloved friend Mark Lanegan passed away this morning at his home in Killarney, Ireland. (read more)


Tool have announced that they are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their first commercially-available release, "Opiate," with a re-imagined and extended version of the EP's title track and an accompanying short film.

"Opiate2" will be available via DSPs on March 1, with the Blu-ray only visual companion available on March 18. Visual artist Dominic Hailstone ("Alien: Covenant", "The Eel") worked with Jones on the 10-plus minute film, which is the band's first new video in 15 years. (read more)


(hennemusic) Duff McKagan joined Eddie Vedder for a version of the Pretenders classic, "Precious", during a February 21 show at Benaroya Hall in Seattle, WA and fan filmed video has been shared online.

The tune - which appeared on the Pretenders' self-titled 1979 debut - saw McKagan take the stage for his second guest appearance at a show in his hometown in two weeks, following a February 9 jam at the Paramount Theatre with Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators for a version of the Guns N' Roses track, "Nightrain." Senses Fail have confirmed the rumors that they have canceled their U.S. tour with We Came As Romans, Counterparts, and SeeYouSpaceCowboy this spring.

Frontman Buddy Nielsen shared this explanation, "We're sorry to announce that we must cancel the Hell is in Bloom tour. This was a very fast-moving situation, and it was our intention to notify all relevant promoters, bands, and personnel first before taking something to the public. Unfortunately, some information leaked, and news and rumors began to swirl. This is a tough situation, and we respect everyone's anger and feelings towards the cancellation of the tour. (read more)

Halestorm have released a music video for their single "The Steeple". The track comes from the band's forthcoming album, "Back From The Dead", which will be hitting stores on May 6th.

Sum 41 and Simple Plan have announced that they will be teaming up for the very first time to launch Blame Canada Tour, a two-part coheadlining trek of the U.S.

The bands will be celebrating their debut album on the tour, with Sum 41 performing "All Killer No Filler" to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the record and Simple Plan performing "No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls". (read more)


The Black Crowes have just announced a new North American leg of their Shake Your Money Maker tour that sees the reunited band playing the classic album in full.

The trek is set to kick off on June 9th in Fort Lauderdale, FL and will wrap up on August 27th in Miami, OK. Drivin N Cryin will be joining them for their June 19th show in Alpharetta, GA and The Trews will be along for the Canadian dates in Windsor and Toronto. (read more)


Misery Index have announced that they will be releasing their brand new studio album, which will be entitled "Complete Control," on May 13th via Century Media Records .

Alt-rockers Remedy Drive's song "Lovely" just won the Golden Microphone Award from Human Freedom Music Awards (HFMA) and to celebrate we asked vocalist David Zach to tell us about the song. Here is the story:

The inspiration for Lovely comes from the memory of a teenage girl in Latin America, a refugee child that was being coerced by traffickers to sell her body for their profit. I met her on the streets of a crowded public square selling coffee to tourists; she also offered cocaine and sex if you asked the right questions. (continue)
