(hennemusic) Journey has revealed the track list and title of their forthcoming new album on social media. Guitarist/founder Neal Schon took to Instagram to share the song details for "Freedom", the group's 15th studio record.

"Teaser ... it's coming and it's loaded @journeymusicofficial @nealschon @bmg_us @frontiersmusicsrl"," wrote the rocker. Last summer, Journey released a standalone single, "The Way We Used To Be", which is included in the track list for the 2022 record. (read more)


A 40th anniversary limited edition 12" vinyl EP of U2's "A Celebration" is set to be released by Island Records and UMe for this year's Record Store Day on Saturday, April 23, 2022.

"A Celebration" was U2's seventh single and the song was originally released in March of 1982, between the albums War (1981) and October (1983). (read more)


(hennemusic) Rod Stewart and Cheap Trick have expanded their summer tour of North America with the addition of 19 new concert dates. Originally scheduled to open in Fort Worth, TX on July 1, the series will now begin in Vancouver, BC on June 10, with shows wrapping up in Edmonton, AB in mid-September.

Tickets for most of the newly-added US tour dates go on sale to the public starting on Friday, February 25 at 10 AM local time, and tickets to the Canadian dates go on sale on Friday, March 4 at 10 AM local time on LiveNation.com. (read more)


Train has announced that they will be launching a North American summer tour to promote their forthcoming album and will feature support from Jewel and Blues Traveler.

The band will be releasing the new album, entitled "AM Gold", on May 20th. Frontman Pat Monahan said of the band's 11th studio record, Writing songs is hard. Not compared to so many things I suppose, but it's difficult to create something that you love and then other people love as well. (read more)


A Perfect Circle's Billy Howerdel has announced that he will be making his debut solo performance at #Happens Las Vegas on February 23rd, followed by his debut single.

He will be joined on the special live date by Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, Guns N' Roses, etc), Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails), Kaela Sinclair (M83), and Kevin Maher (Fake Shark). (read more)


(hennemusic) Pink Floyd are streaming video of a performance of "The Division Bell" track, "Coming Back To Life", as the latest preview to the upcoming reissue of their 1995 concert film, "Pulse."

Due February 18, the restored and re-edited project captures the group on the European leg of a 1994 tour and, among other highlights, it presents the only filmed version of a full performance of the UK outfit's seminal 1973 record, "The Dark Side Of The Moon." (read more)


Bowling For Soup frontman Jaret Reddick has announced that he will be releasing his debut country solo album, entitled "Just Woke Up", on March 11th. We were sent the following details:

With the COVID pandemic grounding and postponing aspects of his life in Bowling For Soup, Jaret seized the opportunity to do something he had been wanting to do for years; record a country album. The result is Just Woke Up, the first solo country record from Jaret, which is being released under his full name Jaret Ray Reddick. (read more)


Polish rockers Riverside have announced that they will be launching North American and Latin American tour legs this spring as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations.

Mariusz Duda had this to say, "We're celebrating the 20th anniversary of Riverside in very demanding and difficult times. Nevertheless, we keep on fighting and we can't wait to go on our next tour of the States, Canada, and Latin America. The newly formed ProgJect will tour America, bringing "The Ultimate Prog Rock Experience" to venues this April and leading into their May 1 on-land headlining performance as part of "Cruise To The Edge" (which sets sail the next day).

The band features Michael Sadler, Jonathan Mover, Mike Keneally, Ryo Okumoto and Matt Dorsey, performing the classics and epics of Genesis, Yes, King Crimson and ELP, along with some Pink Floyd, Rush, Jethro Tull, Peter Gabriel, Gentle Giant and more. Washington DC rockers Design Flaw recently released a video for their latest single "Ghost" and to celebrate we asked them to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

We wrote "Ghost" late at night in a storage unit in Washington, DC - our tiny but beloved practice space. We remember the exact moment it came to life: Out of nowhere, Hobbs started to play the bass line that serves as the song's backbone, and Steve naturally built this heavy drum groove around it. Navid added a simple, percussive guitar line to drive the melody - and "Ghost" began to take shape. The effects-heavy guitar tapping that Gibran added next surrounded the core elements in an ethereal glow, and within a few minutes, we had essentially constructed the musical parts of our new favorite song.
