Motley Crue and Def Leppard have confirmed that their Stadium Tour will be happening this summer and they have added five additional dates to the trek.

The tour will also feature Poison, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, plus up and comers Classless Act will be opening the trek, which had been delayed for two years and has now been expanded with new dates in Toronto, Indianapolis, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Las Vegas. (read more)


Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl says in a new interview that he plans to release a metal album timed with the theatrical release of the band's horror comedy film "Studio 666".

The band released the thrash metal track "March Of The Insane" earlier this week under the moniker of Dream Widow for the film and Grohl was asked by Rolling Stone about the release of a full Dream Widow album in conjunction with the film, which is hitting theaters on February 25th. (read more)


Ed Sheeran and Bring Me The Horizon have released their alternate version of "Bad Habits," after the big response the received from performing the track together at the BRIT Awards last week.

The song was a hit for Sheeran and he decided to change things up at the awards show by having Bring Me The Horizon perform it with him. Ed had this to say about the new version, "I really enjoyed the show last week and I think people will really like the new version. Excited to get it out x" (read more)


(hennemusic) Major League Baseball's San Francisco Giants have announced that they will be hosting their 8th annual Metallica Night at Oracle Park (formerly AT&T Park) on May 24th.

"It's a tradition that we've missed the last two seasons," says Metallica, "so we're really excited for the return of Metallica Night at Oracle Park with our hometown baseball team, the San Francisco Giants. This year marks the eighth time we'll take the field for the National Anthem, first pitch, and a few other pre-game shenanigans, and it all takes place on Tuesday, May 24th against the New York Mets." The Eagles have announced that they will not be joined by Deacon Frey on the new leg of their Hotel California Tour due to an unspecified illness.

The band had this to say via social media, "Due to illness, Deacon Frey will not be performing with the Eagles during their Hotel California 2022 Tour kicking off Saturday, February 19th at the Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia. (read more)


(hennemusic) Megadeth and Lamb Of God have announced the rescheduled Canadian concert dates for the upcoming second leg of their Metal Tour Of The Year.

The band will perform in Laval, Toronto and Quebec City in mid-May as the final three shows in the spring series, which will begin in Las Vegas, NV on April 9 with special guest Trivium and In Flames; the three Canadian events were not included in last month's news about the 2022 trek. Kenny Chesney is celebrating after his chart topping single "Knowing You," has been certified Gold for sales of 500,000. The track comes from his 2020 album "Hear and Now".

UMe/Polydor have announced a special 30th anniversary half-speed double vinyl reissue of The Police's "Greatest Hits" album that will be released on April 15th.

The album has been remastered at the famed Abbey Road and cut at 'half-speed' and will be issued on two heavyweight black LPs with expanded artwork and packaging in a bespoke gatefold sleeve. (read more)


(hennemusic) The Jimi Hendrix estate is streaming audio of a 1968 concert in Dallas, TX. The rare live recording captures The Jimi Hendrix Experience at the city's State Fair Music Hall, where they delivered a 9-song performance - opening with the title track to their 1967 debut album, "Are You Experienced", and closing with that record's classic single, "Purple Haze."

Hendrix topped a bill in Dallas that included Soft Machine, The Moving Sidewalks, and The Chessmen. A documentary on the guitarist, "Music, Money, Madness . . . Jimi Hendrix In Maui", is screening in theaters this month. (read more)


Train frontman Pat Monahan spoke with Audacy's 96.5 TIC about the band's brand new single, "AM Gold", which is the title track to their just announcement album.

Pat appeared on the Hartford radio station's Mornings With Christine & Salt show and said of the track, "This is like a self-love song. I watch so many people, they rely on someone to make them feel happy. And this is like, 'You've got us, you don't need that. Come and join us.' (read more)


Awaken the Giant have released their new single "Feel Alive" to all major platforms, which comes ahead of their forthcoming debut EP, "I Fooled You" (due February 25th.)

Arkansas governor Asa Hutchinson has issued a declaration that "February 26th of each year shall be known as John R. "Johnny" Cash Day to honor the musical contributions of Johnny Cash to the United States of America".

Men At Work frontman Colin Hay just premiere a music video for his new single "Love Is Everywhere". The track comes from his upcoming solo album, Now And The Evermore", which will arrive on March 18th.

Colin had this to say about the clip, "I thought I could get away with not writing any text to accompany this video, but apparently not. The song is called 'Love Is Everywhere', and I didn't know what kind of video to make. So we asked for the help of one Chad Fischer, my friend and best man, whose talent knows no bounds. The Eels have shared the bad news that they have been forced to postpone their headlining Lockdown Hurricane tour of Europe and the U.S. until the spring of 2023 due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic enforced travel and local restrictions'.

They had this to say, "We're sure you're getting tired of seeing announcements like this. When we planned our 2022 tour 7 months ago we hoped we would be in a more ideal place to carry it out by now. Hopefully things are improving but unfortunately, because of the current state of the pandemic and travel & local restrictions, we're not quite at a point where we can pull off a tour. (read more)


Animals As Leaders have shared a visualizer video for their new song "Gordian Naught", which is the third new single from their forthcoming album "Parrhesia".

UK rockers Thunder have premiered a music video for their brand new song "The Western Sky". The track is the first single comes from their forthcoming double album, "Dopamine," which will be hitting stores on April 29th.

Guitarist, songwriter and Thunder co-founder Luke Morley had this to say about the 16-track effort, "'We didn't set out to make a double album but as the writing and recording process went on we wandered into some interesting areas and then it became a case of 'can we afford to leave any of this off?' In the end we did reduce it from 20 tunes to 16 but it wasn't an easy choice. (read more)

Pierce Alexander just released his new album "The Minutehand" and to celebrate we asked him to tell us about one of the tracks, he selected "Too Real". Here is the story:

When I wrote "Too Real", I was going through a phase in my life where I was working several jobs and the crazy schedule left me little to no time for anything creative or meaningful. I felt like I was losing my sense of self expression and the feeling slowly began to eat away at me. I would attempt to make time for the things I wanted but I was always so worn out by the time work was over that it never felt right. (continue)
