(hennemusic) Wolfgang Van Halen's Mammoth WVH performed a cover of the Alice In Chains classic, "Them Bones", during a February 21st appearance at The Depot in Salt Lake City, UT and fan filmed footage of the jam has been shared online.

"We're about to do something we've never done before," Wolfgang told the crowd. "We were doing this in the week we were rehearsing for this, and we just did it for fun. But it was so fun that we found ourselves ending rehearsal with it every time. It's a cover and, no, it's not a Van Halen cover, but's a cover of a band that we really like and we're gonna play it for you." (read more)


(hennemusic) John Mellencamp is joined by Bruce Springsteen on "Did You Say Such A Thing", the latest single from his new album, "Strictly A One-Eyed Jack," and a video for the track has just been released.

The pairing was first heard last fall on the album's lead single, "Wasted Days", and Springsteen also appears on the project's closing track, "A Life Full Of Rain." (read more)


(hennemusic) Procol Harum singer Gary Brooker has died at the age of 76. "With the deepest regret, we must announce the death on 19 February 2022 of Gary Brooker MBE, singer, pianist and composer of Procol Harum, and a brightly-shining, irreplaceable light in the music industry," announced the band in a joint statement. "Aged 76, he had been receiving treatment for cancer, but died peacefully at home.

"From his earliest onstage duets with his musician father, through his youthful recording career with Southend's The Paramounts, Gary exhibited and developed a highly-individual talent. His first single with Procol Harum, 1967's 'A Whiter Shade of Pale', is widely regarded as defining 'The Summer of Love', yet it could scarcely have been more different from the characteristic records of that era. The Acacia Strain guitarist Tom Smith broke the news to fans that the band's upcoming concerts next month will be his last with the band, and he is parting with them on good terms.

He explained, "It's weird to be posting this, but I am here to announce that the upcoming shows in March will be my last with The Acacia Strain. There is no bad blood and this decision was completely my own. It's time for me to take some time to finally focus on myself and care for my mental health/overall well being. (read more)

LCD Soundsystem has announced that they will be playing two separate residencies this spring which will be the group's first live shows of 2022.

The band is set to perform four shows at Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia on March 28th, 29th, 30th and 31st, and then they will play four shows at Boston's newest venue Roadrunner on April 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th. (read more)


Coheed and Cambria have released an animated video for their brand new single, "The Liars Club", and they have announced a North American headline tour.

(hennemusic) Liam Gallagher will perform on NBC-TV's The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon this Friday, February 25th, head of the release of his new album, "C'mon You Know", on May 27.

The project was recently previewed with the lead single, "Everything's Electric", which the singer co-wrote with Dave Grohl - who also plays drums on the track - and was produced by Greg Kurstin. (read more)


The Airborne Toxic Event have released their brand new single called "Faithless," which is available now at all DSPs and streaming services and if the first new music from the band since their 2020 album "Hollywood Park".

Frontman Mikel Jollett had this to say, "'Faithless' is a song about trying to believe in something in a world telling you to believe in nothing, getting lost in a world of hopeless outcomes and trying to find connection with others, or if you can't, a new place to lose yourself." (read more)


Enter Shikari have announced that they have postponed their North American tour from this March and April until September and October and have added an appearance at this year's Aftershock Festival to their plans.

The band shared the following message, "Due to ongoing uncertainty caused by COVID19 and impact upon safe touring, Enter Shikari have made the decision to postpone North American dates originally planned for March/April 2022 until September/October 2022.All tickets for original dates remain valid for new dates. New Jersey hard rocker Kenny Dubman has released a music video for his new single "Old Dog," which features Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke fame.

The track comes from Dubman's forthcoming album, "Conflicted", which was produced by Kenny and Steve Deauctis and features additional guest appearances by Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society) and Scotti Hill (Skid Row). (read more)

Greg Puciato has shared his new track, "Lowered", which is a duet with Code Orange's Reba Meyers that appears on Greg's forthcoming album, "Mirrorcell" (Out June 17th).

Puciato had this to say about the new song, "When she came to the studio we had like...zero vocals for that song. I had been a little unusually stuck with that one lyrically and as far as vocal phrasings and melodiess. (read more)


Carrie Underwood is gearing up for the next round of dates for her REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency at the Resorts World Theatre following the six sold-out shows back in December.

The new dates are set to launch on March 23rd, followed by shows on March 25th, 26th, 30th, April 1st and 2nd, and concluding with the final round on May 11th, 13th, 14th, 18th, 20th and 21st. (read more)


The Eli Young Band were surprised with a Pandora Billionaire Plaque following their Grand Ole Opry performance on Tuesday night, February 22nd.

The moment commemorates over 2 billion streams on the platform, and the band has been added to Pandora's Country Billionaires Radio in celebration of the honor. (read more)

Aldo Nova has released a performance video for "Burn Like The Sun," the latest single from his forthcoming 10-song EP titled "The Life And Times Of Eddie Gage".

Set for release on April 1, the songs on "The Life And Times Of Eddie Gage" mark the first chapter of his larger-than-life rock opera. The iconic Montreal maverick will subsequently release the triple disc "Aldo Nova 2.0 Reloaded" on April 19. It will feature 2.0 versions of nine classic songs from Aldo's catalog, plus another disc with no lead vocal track and a third disc with no lead guitar track so fans can either sing along or play along with him.
