(hennemusic) Judas Priest rocked fans during a March 15 show in Los Angeles that featured a rare appearance by guitarist Glenn Tipton and fan filmed front row footage has been shared online.

When the band's 50 Heavy Metal Years tour rolled into the city's Shrine Auditorium, Tipton took the stage during the encores to join his bandmates for classic tracks "Metal Gods", "Breaking The Law" and "Living After Midnight." (read more)


UMe have announced that they will be releasing the first in a series of half speed mastered studio albums from The Who, "My Generation" and "A Quick One", on May 6th.

These limited-edition black vinyl versions have been mastered by long-time Who engineer Jon Astley and cut for vinyl by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios with a half-speed mastering technique which produces a superior vinyl cut and are packaged in original sleeves with obi strips and certificates of authenticity. Asia have shared a video of their performance of "Here Comes The Feeling" to celebrate the announcement that they will release Asia In Asia - Live At The Budokan, Tokyo, 1983, as a Deluxe box set containing: 2LP, 2xCD, 40 page 12" book, Blu-ray video, printed memorabilia and 'ASIA' pin badge, through BMG Records on 10th June 2022. Also available as a 2LP Gatefold, 1CD and Digital Formats.

ASIA, Geoff Downes (The Buggles & YES, keyboards & backing vocals), Steve Howe (YES, guitars & backing vocals) and Carl Palmer (Emerson, Lake & Palmer, drums) with special guest Greg Lake (Emerson, Lake & Palmer, bass & lead vocals), visited Japan at the end of two years of touring to promote their phenomenally successful eponymous debut album (1982) and the follow-up Alpha (1983). Nate Smith debuted a music video for a brand new version of his viral song "I Don't Wanna Go To Heaven" that features guest vocals from labelmate Tenille Townes.

Smith said of recruiting Townes for the new version of the track, "I'm a huge fan of Tenille, and I kind of just cold emailed her asking if she'd be willing to be part of the song". (read more)


For the first time ever, former Accept frontman Udo Dirkschneider sings in his native language and shines on his cover of Wolfsheim hit "Kein Zuruck."

The track, which appears on DIRKSCHNEIDER's forthcoming full-length, My Way, set for release April 22nd on Atomic Fire Records, has been released today as a digital single and video as well as a special 7-inch (limited to 700 copies; includes "We Will Rock You"). (read more)


Cypress Hill have released a music video for their track "Certified" featuring Demirck to celebrate the arrive of their tenth studio album, "Back In Black."

"We're grateful to our fans for riding with us for three decades," says the band's B-Real. "Working with one of the greatest producers out there, Black Milk, took us back to our roots and still brought something fresh to the table, which isn't easy to do. Anderson East has unveiled "Lights On", the lead single from his brand new album, "M.W.N.D. / F.A.M.E.", which he will be releasing this Friday, March 25, 2022.

For the new album, East reimagined, recut, and re-recorded his latest album, Maybe We Never Die, live in one day at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL. East was accompanied by his bandmates, GRAMMY Award-winning producer Dave Cobb, and a handful of close friends including Natalie Hemby, Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, and Foy Vance. (read more)


Southern rocker Cage Willis has released a new single entitled "Who I Am". The single comes from his full length album, which is due out this summer.

Oklahoma City, OK hard rockers Locust Grove have released a music video for their new single, "Worth My Time." The track comes from their forthcoming debut album, "Battle Of Locust".

New Jersey-based rockers Mercy Union have released their first single in four years titled "Prussian Blue," which was recorded at Audio Pilot Studios, engineered by Rob Freeman and mixed by Kevin Dye (Gates).

Inspired by historical events, the song "explores what happens when humans build beautiful and amazing things and the inevitability of those things sliding into catastrophe," frontman Jared Hart explains. (read more)


Los Angeles-based rock duo Dead Posey have announced that they will release the single and music video for their new track "Can't Take Me Down" on March 24th.

"Can't Take Me Down" is the third single leading up to a full-length Dead Posey release due out later this year. They had this to say,"'Can't Take Me Down' is a reminder that you're the most dangerous when nothing fazes you anymore. (read more)


Chicago rockers Chains Over Razors are releasing their Carmine Appice produced sophomore album this Friday (March 25) and to celebrate we asked them to tell us about the single "Behind These Eyes". Here is the story:

"Behind these Eyes" was the first song we wrote together when we began writing and recording album two in the studio. Our goal on Album two was to capture all the spontaneity moments of the performances of each arrangement on each song; as the moments brought excitement and freshness to the songs without beating them down take after take. "Behind these Eyes" had a couple of re-writes as the song was there, but not quite there yet in the beginning stages. The song would eventually reveal its head around the corner and we grabbed it by its throat and pulled the madness out. Once that took place, the song laid itself right on out and the moments of each second began taking place, which brought fire to the sound. This song laid out the initial vibe and foundation of the album as we set out to rage the rest of the music from there. (continue)


Will Butler took to social media to announced that he has parted ways with Arcade Fire, as the band prepared to release their new studio album, "WE", on May 6th.

Butler announced his departure in a series of tweets on Saturday (March 19th). He wrote, "Hi friends - I've left Arcade Fire. I left at the end of last year, after the new record was complete. (read more)


Rush legend Geddy Lee turns actor. He guest stars in a new episode of the long-running period Canadian drama Murdoch Mysteries and Shaftesbury have a special EPK video for Lee's appearance in the episode.

Aeon Station frontman Kevin Whelan suffered a knee injury during the second song of their headline set at Jumpstart 14's showcase at this year's South By Southwest in Austin, TX.

Whelan was rushed to the local hospital, cutting the band's set short. He had this to say, "It is such a joy to be back at SXSW and back on stage playing music. (read more)


The Eagles' Timothy B. Schmit has released a music video for his new single "Simple Man". The track comes from his forthcoming solo album, Day By Day," which will arrive on May 6th.

Schmit called on some famous friends to join him on "Simple Man". It features lead guitar from Fleetwood Mac legend Lindsey Buckingham, and vocal harmonies from Beach Boys alumni Chris Farmer and Matt Jardine. (read more)


Mastodon have unplugged for an acoustic version of their track "Teardrinker" to celebrate their upcoming co-headline tour with Opeth that kicks off next month.

The original version of "Teardrinker" appeared on their latest album "Hushed and Grim." According to the announcement, "the reimagined version features a wistful element that underscores its lyrical heartbreak with sweeping backing harmonies and piano supported by the acoustic guitar pattern. Bad Wolves have released their new EP entitled "If Tomorrow Never Comes", which the original title track, as well as an acoustic version and a special alternate recording featuring Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills.

The group's new frontman DL had this to say about the new version of the track with Spencer, "'If Tomorrow Never Comes' is a song about self-reflection and asking oneself who would show up to your funeral and what would they say about you. (read more)


Blind Guardian have released a music video for their new single 'Secrets Of The American Gods'. The clip was filmed during the recording of the band's new album in the Twilight Hall Studios between March 2020 and 2021.

Vocalist Hansi Kursch had this to say, "The time has come to unveil another secret: with 'Secrets Of The American Gods', we proudly present you with the epic side of our new album that's going to be released in September. (read more)


Swedish prog-rockers Pain of Salvation have announced that they will be launch a North American tour this spring that will feature support from Klone.

The band will be launching the tour in support of their latest album, "Panther" which was released in 2020 and in addition to their headline dates, fans will also be able to catch them on this year's Cruise To The Edge, and at the ProgPower USA festival. (read more)


Carrie Underwood has shared a lyric video for his brand new single "Ghost Story", which written by Josh Kear, Hillary Lindsey and David Garcia and co-produced by David Garcia and Underwood.

She says that the song is "a different take on a revenge song, which is something I love to sing about. Instead of smashing headlights, this scorned lover is letting her ex know that she will continue to haunt him no matter how hard he tries to forget her." (read more)


Award winning South African blues rock guitarist Dan Patlansky has released a music video for his brand new single "Bad Soul", which comes from his latest album, "Shelter Of Bones".

He had this to say, "Some people are just born bad and can't be changed. I grew up and got to know some people that seemed to just possess a bad streak in them, and no matter how hard people tried to steer them in a diļ¬€erent direction, they would just end up being a bad ass in everything thing they did." A Killer's Confession have released a music video for their brand new single "A Better Time". The track comes from the Waylon Reavis led band's forthcoming album, "Welcome To Wilbar."

As So Cal rockers Sitting On Stacy continue their coheadlining tour with The Aquadolls, they have shared a music video for their brand new single "Ellen."

They band created, directed and edited the video themselves. They had this to say about the song, "'Ellen' is a love song mixed with distorted guitars blaring over fun and upbeat drums with catchy melodies and harmonies. We wanted to make this song fast with rock elements that will leave your head banging. We wrote it to be like the music we loved growing up." (read more)


Morgan Wallen is set for his first-ever stadium show at Arlington, Texas' Globe Life Field on October 8, 2022 with special guests HARDY, Mike Ryan and Jake Worthington.

"I grew up playing baseball... spending more nights than I can count on fields in East Tennessee, it's a special moment to be back on the field but doing my thing with my band," Wallen shares of his first-ever stadium show taking place at Globe Life Field, home to the Texas Rangers. (read more)
