Dave Grohl has officially gone metal with the release of the new self-titled EP from his fictional Dream Widow band, which he created for the Foo Fighters recently released film "Studio 666."

The EP was created by Grohl (vocals, guitar, bass and drums) and lead guitarist Jim Rota of Fireball Ministry. They are joined on a few tracks by keyboardists Rami Jaffee and Oliver Roman. (read more)


Imagine Dragons have announced that they have added 20 additional shows with a brand new North American summer leg of their Mercury World Tour featuring special guests Macklemore and Kings Elliot on select dates.

The spring leg of the tour will be launching on April 10th in Victoria, BC at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre and will conclude on May 4th in Montreal, QC at the Centre Bell with AVIV supporting. (read more)


(hennemusic) Def Leppard have released a video for their new single, "Kick." Written by guitarist Phil Collen, the lead track to the band's forthcoming "Diamond Star Halos" album was the last song written for the project.

"It's got that glam rock feel, that hand-clap groove, big vocals," Collen tells Billboard. "It was just a no-brainer. It was not only that it's got to be on the album, it's got to be the first single as well." (read more)


Brantley Gilbert and Jason Aldean have teamed up for their long-awaited collaboration on a song together. They have shared a lyric video for the track called ""Rolex® On A Redneck."

The song was written by Gilbert, Brock Berryhill, Michael Hardy, Randy Montana and Taylor Phillips. Brantley had this to say, "Aldean was one of those guys coming up that I looked up to as he's a great song guy. (read more)


ZZ Top has reached back to its very early days with the first track to be released from their forthcoming RAW album, out July 22 from Shelter Records, through BMG. "Brown Sugar" was a key cut on the very appropriately titled ZZ Top's First Album that was released in January of 1971.

"Brown Sugar" is the opening track on RAW, which itself is an homage to the band's early days. ZZ Top's "Brown Sugar," penned by Billy F Gibbons, should not be mistaken for the Rolling Stones song of the same title, the latter of which was actually released three months after ZZ Top's First Album. The Head And The Heart have released a visualizer video for their brand new song "Tiebreaker." The track comes from their forthcoming fifth studio album, "Every Shade of Blue," which is hitting stores on April 29th.

Jonathan Russell had this to say about the new song, "'Tiebreaker' is like a carnival ride through a wide variety of characters and relationships: lovers laughing uncontrollably, a married couple bickering, teenagers falling for each other in the moment. A legendary event in the incredible 60-year history of the Rolling Stones is being released in full for the first time on Friday, May 13th. Live At The El Mocambo marks the first official appearance of the group's two famous secret concerts at the 300-capacity Toronto club in March 1977.

The album will be available on double CD, 4 LP black vinyl, 4 LP neon vinyl and digitally. It features the Stones' full set from the March 5 show, plus three bonus tracks from the March 4 gig, newly mixed by Bob Clearmountain. (read more)


Bad Wolves have released a video for their brand new version of "If Tomorrow Never Comes", which features a guest appearance from Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills.

The track is featured on the band's just released new EP entitled "If Tomorrow Never Comes", which includes the original title track, as well as an acoustic version and the special alternate recording featuring Charnas. (read more)
