The Foo Fighters shared the tragic news via social media that drummer Taylor Hawkins has died at the age of 50. A cause of death was not revealed.

The band wrote the following message on their Facebook page on Friday night (March 25th), "The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. (read more)


One of the tour buses being used on Korn's current North American tour with Chevelle was hit by gunfire outside a hotel in Davenport, IA on Thursday night (March 24), according to TMZ.

The tour was in town for their show on Friday night and a single bullet hole was discovered in the bus, which was unoccupied at the time of the shooting, according to the report. (read more)


(hennemusic) Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer will sit out the band's 2022 Las Vegas residency.

Kramer has "regrettably made the decision to sit out the band's concerts in 2022 so he can focus his full attention on his family during these uncertain times," the group said in a statement to USA Today. As Kramer "takes a temporary leave of absence", "he and the band look forward to his future performances with Aerosmith." (read more)


(hennemusic) Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators will celebrate the release of their latest studio album, "4", with a live streaming performance on April 15th.

"Live From Boston" was shot on location this month during the group's sold out show at the city's House Of Blues as they delivered a mix of classic favorites and new songs from the 2022 record. (read more)


Skid Row have shared a visualizer for their brand new song "The Gang's All Here", which is the title track of their forthcoming album, and the introduction of the band's new frontman.

The band will be releasing the new record on October 14th and it features former H.E.A.T. frontman Erik Gronwall taking over lead vocals for the veteran hard rock band. (read more)


Furnace Fest has yet again added a number of artists to the lineup for this year's festival, which will be taking place at Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, Alabama on Friday, September 23 through Sunday, September 25th.

The lineup now includes Mastodon, Descendants, The Story So Far, Midtown, Poison the Well, Manchester Orchestra, In Flames, Four Year Strong, Drug Church, Dying Wish, The Spill Canvas, Life in Your Way, Movements, and many more, with special guests to be announced. (read more)


Jeff "Skunk" Baxter has shared his version of the Steely Dan classic "My Old School", which comes from the Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan icon's very first solo album, "Speed Of Heat", which will be released on June 18th.

"My Old School" feature a rare lead vocal from Baxter. He had this to say about his rocked out version, "I always felt that the song had a lot of rock potential. That was my goal going in, to muscle it up." (read more)


Bob Mould have revealed the artists who will be opening for his on his forthcoming North American tour promoting his recently released The Ocean EP that featuring three solo acoustic live performances.

H.C. McEntire will perform in California and the South, Vic Bondi in the Pacific Northwest, and J. Robbins in the Northeast. In addition to these solo performance dates, Bob Mould has added a Thursday, July 7th performance at Thalia Hall in Chicago, IL. (read more)

The Moody Blues legend Justin Hayward has signed on to host the 2023 edition of the On The Blue Cruise (OTBC) that will set sail out of Miami, FL aboard the Norwegian Pearl next January 28th - February 2nd and visit two ports: Harvest Caye, Belize and Costa Maya, Mexico.

This five-day/five-night full-ship charter cruise will feature an array of events and musical performances from over twenty artists (including Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Zombies and Dave Mason). (read more)


Ratchet Dolls have released their brand single "Modern Mistake". The track comes from the band's forthcoming EP, "Bring The Noize," which is set for release later this year.

Australian rockers Windwaker have released a music video for their new track "Glow", which comes from their forthcoming album, "Love Language".

Fearless Records will be releasing the album on May 6th. The band had this to say about the new track, "'Glow' takes place in the shoes of an extremely insecure, impressionable person reflecting on who they've become, and rediscovering themselves. (read more)


Upstate New York rockers Lips Turn Blue just released their new single/video "Just Push" and to celebrate we asked guitarist Don Mancuso to tell us about the track (which he cowrote with late frontman Phil Naro). Here is the story:

The song "Just Push" came out of a crazy time in all of our lives in the midst of the pandemic. We had just gotten together the core of what would later become Lips Turn Blue (LTB) when a number of us from different bands came together to re-record one of our old songs to recognize the unbelievable work that doctors, nurses and health care providers were doing. That song "Pray for Tomorrow" went so well that we decided to craft some additional songs (and ultimately an entire LTB album). (continue)
