Country music hitmaker and Academy of Country Music award-winner Mickey Gilley died at the age of 86 in Branson, Missouri from complications due to a recent hospitalization.

Born in Natchez, Mississippi, Gilley was exposed to music at an early age and chased a career in music following in the footsteps of his older cousin, Jerry Lee Lewis. (read more)


Greg Harris, the CEO of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, spoke with Audacy's Taryn Daly about the class of 2022 inductees, including Judas Priest, Dolly Parton and Eminem. We were sent the following excerpts:

Initial reaction to inductee announcement: "It's been fantastic. The outpouring of love for these artists that were inducted this year is just amazing...A few of these artists that were selected this year, you know fans have been lobbying for awhile, and they've gone over the top, so it's a great week." (hennemusic) KISS have announced that they have expanded the upcoming KISS Kruise XI with the addition of a second sailing for fans after the first event sold-out.

In addition to the original October 29-November 3 event, the classic rock group will now also host fans abord the Norwegian Jewel when it travels from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada, Mexico from October 24-29. (read more)


(hennemusic) Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti has revealed the band's plans for their forthcoming studio album, during an interview with the 97.7 QLZ Springfield, IL.

The rocker confirmed the group's seventh record will be titled "Pawns & Kings", that the set was produced by longtime associate Michael Baskette, and it will be released on October 14 via Napalm Records. (read more)


(hennemusic) Metallica are sharing pro-shot video of a rare performance of their 1999 track, "No Leaf Clover", from an April 30 concert at Campo Argentino de Polo in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The tune - which first surfaced as one of two new songs featured on the band's "S&M" live release, which captured Metallica in concert with The San Francisco Symphony conducted by Michael Kamen (read more)


Legendary Queen guitarist Brian May has premiered a music video for the song "Otro Lugar", a Spanish language version of his "Another World" single that was shot in the stunning Canary Islands.

"A special gift for the Spanish world who has always been incredibly kind to Queen and Me," shared May. The song appears as a bonus track on the newly remastered Gold Series re-issue of his 1998 solo album Another World, which was released last month. (read more)


New Jersey based, heavy rock band Huxley have released the official music video for their new single, "Hate Me."

The single was co-written with legendary producer Kane Churko, and the "Hate Me" music video was directed and filmed by Cyrus Entezam. (read more)
