Trivium singer and guitarist Matthew Kiichi Heafy has shared a music video for the song "Kagutsuchi" to celebrate the release of the new album "Rashomon", from his Ibaraki project.

The song features a guest bass solo by Trivium's Paolo Gregoletto and Heafy had this to say, "'Kagutsuchi' is the turning point in my relationship to black metalKiichi. (read more)


Steve Earle has shared his soulful rendition of Jerry Jeff Walker's classic tune "Mr. Bojangles." On Jerry Jeff - Earle's forthcoming 10-track collection set for release on May 27 via New West Records - he pays tribute to Walker, the influential cowboy troubadour who passed away on October 23, 2020.

After performing in Texas at a concert celebrating Walker's life, Earle took his band, The Dukes, to Electric Lady Studios in New York, where they recorded 10 of Walker's songs. (read more)


Dawes have shared their epic new single, "Someone Else's Cafe / Doomscroller Tries to Relax," which is the opening track from their forthcoming eighth studio album, "Misadventures Of Doomscroller, "arriving everywhere on Friday, July 22

"The first half of this song could be about tyrants," says Dawes frontman Taylor Goldsmith. "But it could also be about anyone who thinks that a little more control is gonna make everything ok. The second half is a response to that developing reality of the first half. The world might be a scary place sometimes but, to some degree, I want to believe I can decide how I respond to it. The Juliana Theory have shared a visualizer for their track "Less Talk" to celebrate the release of their brand new EP 'Still The Same Kids' Pt.1, which arrives this past Friday on Equal Vision Records.

Frontman Brett Detar had this to say about the new song, "I love 'Less Talk'. I genuinely feel good vibes just thinking about the song. To me it's all about feel and that makes sense because it's one of those songs that seemed to fall out of the sky into my lap. (read more)


Halestorm will be hitting the road this week for the first of tour tours that they will be launching for their brand new studio album, "Back From The Dead", which arrived last week.

Kreator have released a music video for their new track "Midnight Sun." The song is the third single from their forthcoming album, "Hate Uber Alles," which will arrive on June 10th.

Mille Petrozza had this to say, "Midnight Sun is something a little new for us, our first time collaborating with a female artist. When I was writing the song, I could hear this Oracle type voice over the pre-chorus and chorus and I immediately reached out to my talented friend, Sofia Portanet who is an emerging artist, here in Germany. Eddie Vedder's acclaimed second solo album, "Ukulele Songs," has been reissued in both a Deluxe Edition and Standard Edition LP versions by UMe/Republic Records.

The reissued mark the first time that the album has been available on vinyl since it was originally released in 2011. We were sent the following details: The Deluxe Edition LP features the original 16-track Ukulele Songs album on high-grade 180-gram black vinyl in expanded packaging that includes a 16-page booklet and a special lithograph. The Standard Edition LP has also been pressed on 180-gram black vinyl. (read more)


Houston, TX based hard rockers Wellborn Road have released the official music video for their heavy makeover of the 1980 ZZ Top classic, "Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers".

The band had this to say, "We feel like Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers was meant for us to cover. This is our gift to our fans, The Brew Crew. It was fun to do. Plus, it's ZZ Top, the embodiment of Texas music, so of course, being from Texas, we had to pay tribute to them!" (read more)


The Eagles' Timothy B. Schmit shared a music video for his song "I Come Alive" to celebrate the release of his brand new solo album "Day By Day".

He had this to say about the song, "I was feeling really good about things in general when I started this song. I decided it wasn't necessary to try and go particularly deep, so I let it sort of roll out of me without too much second guessing. It's a simple love song intended to express my feelings right from the surface. (read more)
