Metallica had a no video policy back in 1986 when they released their iconic "Master Of Puppets" album. Fast forward to this week and the band has released an animated lyric video for the title track.

The song was recently featured prominently in the season finale of the hit Netflix series "Stranger Things", which catapulted the song onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the very first time. (read more)


Guns N' Roses celebrate the 35th anniversary of their blockbuster debut album, "Appetite For Destruction" this month, so it is only fitting that original drummer Steven Adler has promised to deliver a classic GN'R experience at three special shows this week.

Adler shared, "I'm playing the drums every day. It's incredible. I'm in love with music. We are giving fans an experience like they haven't seen since Guns N' Roses played the Sunset Strip." (read more)


A video for Joe Strummer previously unreleased "The Road To Rock 'N' Roll (Demo)" has been released the herald the arrival of the "Joe Strummer 002: The Mescaleros Years" collection that will be released by Dark Horse Records on what would have been the music icon's 70th birthday in August 21st.

We were sent these details: the first-ever comprehensive collection highlighting his work with his post-Clash band, The Mescaleros. The collection includes remastered editions of all three of the band's studio albums, plus 15 rare and unreleased tracks spanning the first demos Joe wrote for the Mescaleros, as well as 'Ocean Of Dreams', featuring Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols on guitar, and outtakes of several tracks of Joe's final recordings with the band. This richly curated boxset was executive produced by Joe's widow Lucinda Tait and produced by David Zonshine and features exclusive new interviews with Joe's friends, collaborators and Mescaleros band mates, plus never-before-seen handwritten notes, lyrics, and drawings by Strummer taken from the Joe Strummer Archive. Of Mice & Men have shared a special remix of their song "Mosaic", which comes from their 2021 album, "Echo". The new remix was handled by EDM artist Becko.

The Tedeschi Trucks Band have shared the Alix Lambert directed companion film to their "I Am The Moon: Episode III. The Fall," ahead of the record's digital and CD release This Friday, July 29th, 2022.

Rodrigo y Gabriela have released a visualizer video for their new cover version of the Radiohead classic, "Weird Fishes/Arpeggi," which is the follow up to their Grammy Award-nominated version of Metallica's "The Struggle Within."

"When I was young, I never took a close look into Radiohead's music," says Rodrigo. "I was the typical metal head and the typical metal head in the 80s and 90s was pretty much a closed-minded character who rarely took a risk listening to alternative bands. It was not until we met John Leckie, who produced our first album in 2006 and Radiohead's first 2 albums in the early 90s, that they got my attention. (read more)

The Kinks have shared a previously unreleased version of "Celluloid Heroes (US Single Version 2022 Edit)" to celebrate the announcement of a special 50th anniversary reissue that will be released on September 9th.

Moon Walker has shared a music video for his new single "Pins & Needles". The song comes from the alt-rocker's forthcoming sophomore album, "The Attack Of Mirrors," which will arrive on October 21th.

Sator are releasing their long-awaited "Return of The Barbie-Q-Killers" album this week and to celebrate we asked Chips Kiesbye to tell us about their cover of Devo's "Shimmy Shake". Here is the story:

In 1994 we released an album called "Barbie-Q-Killers Vol 1". A covers album but with a different approach. Most of the songs were unreleased at the time by the original artists. We found them on bootlegs and live cassettes. I also wrote many "snail mail" letters to members of our favorite bands and asked them if they had any leftover songs from the early days. (continue)
