Black Sabbath legends Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi reunited on stage in their hometown of Birmingham, England on Monday (August 8th) for a special surprise performance.

The two metal legends reunited to perform two classic Black Sabbath songs, "Paranoid" and "Iron Man" at the closing ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games that took place in Birmingham. (read more)


Music icon and actress Olivia Newton-John, best known for her starring roles in "Grease" and "Xanadu," died on Monday (August 8th) at her home in Southern California. She was 73.

Her husband John Easterling shared the following on social media, "Dame Olivia Newton-John (73) passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends. We ask that everyone please respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time. (read more)


Anthrax canceled their headline performance at the Southside Ballroom in Dallas, TX on Monday night (August 8th), due to a medical concern.

They had this to say, "We are sorry to let you know that due to a medical concern, Anthrax have to cancel tonight's show in Dallas. Black Label Society and Hatebreed are still performing tonight, come and rock out with them! Refunds are available until box office closes at (9 p.m.)." (read more)


Drowning Pool have paid tribute to Pantera with their brand new single, "Mind Right". The song is the first track from the group's forthcoming album, "Strike A Nerve".

Guitarist CJ Pierce had this to say about the song, "'Mind Right' started with the core Drowning Pool sound, then really dug into our southern metal roots. (read more)


Architects have announced that they have been forced to cancel their upcoming North American tour with We Came As Romans and Like Moths To Flames due to "logistical issues".

They shared the following via social media, "It pains us to announce that despite the best efforts of everyone in our band, our crew and the rest of the team, a number of logistical issues have forced us to cancel our upcoming North America tour. (read more)


The Joy Formidable have announced that they will be releasing a digital deluxe edition of their "Into The Blue" album on September 14th and have shared a lyric video for the song "Somewhere New".

The Into The Blue Deluxe Edition will be feature two new songs as well as new artwork. Ritzy Bryan had this to say,, "It's been a strange feeling, to release an album (in 2021) & not get the chance to share it live with an audience, especially an album like Into the Blue that has a lot of live energy. Aeon Station regretfully have announced that their shows in August 2022 will be rescheduled to a later date. Drummer Jerry MacDonald had to undergo unexpected spinal surgery recently and his recuperation time will unfortunately force the shows to be delayed.

However, the Portland, OR show at Mississippi Studios on September 23rd and Seattle, WA show at Tractor Tavern on September 24th are not affected. (read more)
