Ozzy Osbourne says that Eric Clapton suggested that he change a lyric to a song on his upcoming album, "Patient Number 9," because it may cause some controversy.

Clapton is just one the special guests on the legendary Black Sabbath frontman's forthcoming record and during a chat with Classic Rock, Ozzy revealed that he used Jesus name in the lyrics to the song "One Of These Days". (read more)


Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine says that he is "over it" when was asked if he was still bitter about his exit from Metallica during an appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience.

Mustaine appeared on the show to promote the forthcoming Megadeth album, "The Sick, The Dying... And The Dead!", which is set to be released on September 2nd. (read more)


Southern California bands Lit and Hoobastank have announced that they will be teaming up for a coheadlining trek this fall dubbed the Tried-N-True Tour.

They will be joined on the trek by Alien Ant Farm and The Ataris' frontman Kristopher Roe (except on November 5th in Carrollton, TX, and AAF will not be taking part in the October 16th show in Bethlehem, PA.) (read more)

(hennemusic) Metallica rocked their 2016 track, "Moth Into Flame", during an August 14 show in Pittsburgh, PA, and the band are sharing video from the event.

The song was the second single from "Hardwired... to Self-Destruct", a project that earned Metallica a place in US chart history when it became only the second time that any band of any genre would have six consecutive albums debut at number one on the Billboard 200. (read more)


Parkway Drive have premiered a music video for their new song "Darker Still", which is the title track to their forthcoming seventh album that will arrive on September 9th.

Vocalist Winston McCall had this to say, "Love. Time. Death. The great defining elements that make up our existence. This song begins with the simplest of human sounds and represents these elements as the musical journey grows to reach its souring crescendo before facing the inevitable conclusion of its journey. Miranda Lambert has joined previously announced Morgan Wallen as two-of-the-four headliners for the 11th Annual Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam, which is taking place June 1-4, 2023 at Frank Brown Park in Panama City Beach.

"Miranda headlined one of our very first Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam festivals, and we've been working like crazy to get her back ever since," said Executive Producer Rendy Lovelady. "She is an entertainer who leaves it all on the stage every time she performs, and we're excited to add her to our amazing 2023 lineup." (read more)


Crossfaith have released a live video for their track "Gimme Danger" to celebrate their return to North America next month for their first North American tour since 2015.

Larkin Poe have shared a music video for their brand new single, "Georgia Off My Mind", which comes from the sister duo's forthcoming album, "Blood Harmony".

"Like 99 percent of my songs, that song came into being at my kitchen table late in the evening," says Rebecca. "My husband and I stumbled into that line at the chorus - 'Tennessee keep Georgia off my mind' - and it turned into a love song for the stretch of I-24 that connects Atlanta and Nashville, which is a drive we've made thousands of times now." Xondra has launched a crowdfunding campaign for her new visual EP, "Tedious & Brief", which covers the story of a young domestic violence victim going through the challenges of survival while reclaiming her voice.

Her goal is to raise $5000, enough to be able to fully bring the story and vision to life, and if the campaign exceeds the goal, she has pledged to donate a portion of the proceeds to The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. (read more)


Vancouver's Bealby Point recently released their new EP, "Fridays", and to celebrate we asked Jack (lead vocals/rhythm guitar) to tell us about the title track. Here is the story:

When it comes to the songwriting process in Bealby Point, no member is limited to their respective instrument. "Fridays" all started with the lead guitar riff that was actually written by our bassist Jordan Studer. Admittedly, the riff takes some heavy inspiration from Peach Pit's early hit, "Sweet FA".
