AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson revealed in a new interview that he has already received offers to make a biopic based on his memoir "The Lives Of Brian".

The book will be released in North American on October 25th and Johnson spoke with Billboard about the effort and the vocalist dismissed the idea of making it into a film. (read more)


(hennemusic) The Red Hot Chili Peppers have debuted at No. 1 on the US Top Album Sales chart with "Return Of The Dream Canteen," their second chart topping album of the year.

According to Billboard, the Rick Rubin-produced project sold 56,000 albums in its opening week to top the chart, which earns the California band a pair of No. 1s in 2022 - alongside April's "Unlimited Love" - to become the first group with two No. 1 rock albums on the chart in less than 12 months since 2005 when System Of A Down doubled-up with "Mezmerize" and "Hypnotize." George Strait and Chris Stapleton have announced that they will be teaming up for six special stadium shows next year that will feature support from Little Big Town.

The special run of dates will visit stadiums in the Phoenix, Seattle, Denver, Milwaukee, Nashville and Tampa markets, kicking off on May 6th at State Farm Stadium. (read more)

(hennemusic) The Eagles legend Joe Walsh has announced that he will perform on the Thursday, October 27 episode of CBS-TV's The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The guitarist - who last played a week-long residency on the program in August - will host his VetsAid 2022! concert event in Columbus, OH on November 13th. (read more)


John Lodge, legendary bass player, songwriter and vocalist of The Moody Blues and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, will bring his new show "Performs Days of Future Passed" to America. John, together with his 10,000 Light Years Band, will perform The Moody Blues' iconic Days of Future Passed album in its entirety, with a special recording by the late Graeme Edge and performances by Jon Davison of Yes.

The show will also feature a set of the pioneering classic hits "Ride My See-Saw," "I'm Just a Singer (in a Rock and Roll Band)," "Isn't Life Strange," "Legend of a Mind" and "Nights in White Satin" in what promises to be a truly spectacular evening. (read more)


Leatherwolf have released a music video for the title track of their forthcoming new studio album, Kill The Hunted, set for release November 11th.

Kill The Hunted was conceived in 2008 by drummer/producer, Dean Roberts, but not revisited and completed until some ten years later after the band fractured in the wake of a short European tour. (read more)


German duo Poppymoon just released their new single, "KTHXBYE", from their forthcoming I EP, and to celebrate we asked them to tell us about the track. Here is the story:

After the end of our former group ASHBY in 2018, we both knew we wanted to make music together. We took a whole year (2019) to create music and find what both of us liked in order to create Poppymoon. Our favorite song at the time was "KTHXBYE," which was a demo. However, since it was so different from the other songs, we weren't sure how we felt about its style. (continue)


Wynonna Judd, appeared on the TODAY Show this morning (October 24th) and revealed that The Judds: The Final Tour will be continuing on in 2023 thanks to the overwhelming love and support of fans.

The 45th anniversary of Queen's "News Of The World" album is being celebrated by the syndicated radio show In The Studio With Redbeard: The Stories Behind History's Greatest Rock Bands.

Host Redbeard had this to say, "With the October 1977 release of News of the World, London-based Queen moved into the upper echelons of international rock bands with arena-filling (soon to be stadium-sized) anthems 'We Will Rock You' and 'We Are the Champions'. The first day of the When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas was canceled by organizers due the potential of up to 60mph wind gusts at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds.

The event was set to kick off on Saturday (October 2nd), but that was pushed back to Sunday due to the wind advisory. Organizers shared, "When We Were Young Festival organizer have spent the last several days proactively preparing the festival ground for a windy Saturday. (read more)


Shinedown have released a tour video for their current single "Daylight". The track is the Amazon Original version of the song from their latest album, Planet Zero.

CMT and Sandbox Productions have announced "Coal Miner's Daughter: A Celebration Of The Life & Music Of Loretta Lynn," a Live celebration from the Grand Ole Opry House, in partnership with the family of Loretta Lynn, to honor the extraordinary life, legacy and music of country legend Loretta Lynn.

The public memorial service is set to air commercial-free on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 7p/6c, exclusively on CMT, with two additional commercial-free encores on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 8p/7c and Sunday, Nov. 6 at 11a/10c. The special will also be made available on Paramount+ in early 2023. (read more)


Dierks Bentley has released a music video for his hit single "Gold," which was directed by Wes Edwards and was filmed across the state of Tennessee.

Bentley said of the visual, "The treatment for this music video almost wrote itself. 'Gold' is an optimistic reality check. I think we all wrestle with trying to get through the rocky parts of life and on to the next thing, but there are lots of special moments to cherish even in the middle of the tough stuff." The L.A. Maybe has announced a UK leg of their The Long Road Tour that they will be launching this December to promote the deluxe edition of their Dirty Damn Tricks album.

They will be kicking off the tour on December 3rd in Sheffield with an appearance at the Winter Rocks Festival and will wrap up the trek on December 16th in Bridgewater. (read more)


Prog-leaning alt/power-pop/new wave Boston-based trio Elsewhere--led by frontman and guitarist Michael Aroian and drummer Adam Soucy--will release their musically adventurous and evocative concept album Life...Is A Fraction on November 4.

For their third album, Elsewhere worked with producer and long-time collaborator David Minehan (Replacements, Aerosmith). Life...Is A Fraction weaves together a fascinating, semi-autobiographical narrative about how our perception of time shifts as we grow older. Days, months, and years seem to speed up...until a frightening, life-changing diagnosis--and being forced to face mortality--changes everything once again. The 9th annual "We Can Survive" concert took place at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 22. The show featured performances by Alanis Morissette, Halsey, Weezer, OneRepublic, Garbage and Tate McRae. The event raised over $750,000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), the nation's largest suicide prevention organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death. Tarja has shared her previously unreleased single "Eye of the Storm." The track comes from her forthcoming, "Best Of: Living The Dream", collection that will arrive on December 2nd.

"It was the right time to finally release this song," Tarja explains. "It has a very deep feeling of closure in it. It's been influenced by two very important countries in my life: Finland and Argentina. It's an internal battle inside of me. Because at that time in life, I was really searching for my place in this world, where I belong as a person, as an individual." (read more)


Acclaimed blues guitarist Sunjay has released a video for his new single "Statesboro Blues", which comes from his brand new album "Black & Blues Revisited."

He had this to say, "Statesboro Blues was written by Blind Willie McTell and first recorded in 1928. It's country blues with a touch of gospel. This version also combines lyrics from Church Bell Blues by Luke Jordan. 'Daddy died and left me reckless, mama died and left wild'. Having sung these lines hundreds of times before my mother passed away. It was an extremely emotional experience. I had to belt it out because I just couldn't do it gently, the words got stuck."
