(hennemusic) Gene Simmons will launch a KISS museum in Las Vegas in 2022. The 72-year-old bassist tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal that a 15,000-square-foot space at the Rio Hotel and Casino will feature "hundreds and hundreds" of items from his personal collection, including costumes, stage props and gold and platinum albums.

The Rio has hosted the KISS-themed Kiss By Monster Mini Golf since 2016; Simmons reveals that the glow-in-the-dark attraction is being expanded alongside the new museum exhibit. (read more)


(hennemusic) Motorhead shared an unreleased concert on December 24 in sync with Lemmy Kilmister's 76th birthday. The Motorhead founder passed away in 2015 at the age of 70 from prostate cancer, cardiac arrhythmia, and congestive heart failure.

The band were recorded live at the University of East Anglia in Norwich on October 18, 1998; the line up at this time included Lemmy, guitarist Phil Campbell and drummer Mikkey Dee. (read more)


(hennemusic) Green Day are teasing new music with the release of a video snippet in time for the holidays.

The group are sharing footage from an unspecified period at RAK Studios in London, UK that features images of the band members accompanied by a soundtrack of an uptempo tune with Billie Joe Armstriong singing before the clip ends with the phrase "1972." (read more)


(hennemusic) Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick gives a private tour of his guitars in the latest installment of the Gibson series, "The Collection," and video is now available online.

"When it comes to guitar collections, some are so large, so special, and so rare, that even the best collectors can't help but do a double-take. This is how you would define Rick Nielsen's collection - a total head-turner," reads the show's synopsis. "In the latest episode of 'The Collection,' host Mark Agnesi heads to Rockford, IL to visit the godfather of guitar hoarding. Rick Nielsen, the lead guitarist for Cheap Trick, takes us through his cavern of guitars. Ranging from quirky and strange to the ultimate rare and last of its kind. The song was the third track issued from the band's debut, "Appetite For Destruction", remains the group's only US No. 1 single and one of five US Top 10 hits. (read more)


(hennemusic) Mammoth WVH enjoyed a top 21 story from August 2021 after his solo band Mammoth WVH played their first show on Guns N' Roses rescheduled US stadium tour on July 31 at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, PA and some fan-filmed video has been shared online.

According to setlist.fm, the Wolfgang Van Halen project delivered a 10-song set of tracks from the group's self-titled debut album, which was recorded with producer Michael Baskette at the famed 5150 studios. (read more)


Weezer earned a top 21 story from August 2021 after they shared their cover of Metallica's 1991 megahit "Enter Sandman," which comes from the "The Metallica Blacklist" album that was released on September 10th.

The special covers album was released by Metallica as part of their 20th anniversary celebration of their blockbuster "Black Album". It will feature 53 artists taking on songs from the classic album. (read more)

Metallica scored a top 21 story from August 202 after their video for their 1991 track, "Nothing Else Matters", passed 1 billion views on YouTube, according to hennemusic. Directed by Adam Dubin, the clip features scenes from the 1992 documentary, "A Year And A Half In The Life Of Metallica."

Uploaded to YouTube in October of 2009, the video originally premiered in February of 1992, just two months before the song was issued as the third single from the band's self-titled record aka The Black Album. (read more)


Rudy Sarzo Reunited With Quiet Riot was a top 21 story from August 2021: Quiet Riot have announced that legendary bassist Rudy Sarzo has returned to the band after 18 years. Rudy was part of the "Metal Health" lineup of the band, after returning to group following his stint in the classic Randy Rhoads era of Ozzy Osbourne's solo band.

Sarzo was a member of the group during the Randy Rhoads years and left to join his bandmate in Ozzy Osbourne's Blizzard of Ozz band. Following the "Diary Of A Madman" tour and Randy's untimely death, Rudy returned to Quiet Riot right before they broke into stardom with their chart topping "Metal Health" album. (read more)


Becoming Led Zeppelin Documentary Completed was a top 21 story from August 2021: A new feature length documentary about Led Zeppelin by director Bernard MacMahon has been completed and will be entitled, "Becoming Led Zeppelin", according to Variety.

The film was originally announced in 2019 and marked the first time that Zeppelin stars Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones participated in a documentary project. (read more)
