Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have reported decided to move from California and return to the U.K. due to the high taxes in the Golden State, according to The Mirror.

The outlet reports that the Black Sabbath legend and his manager and wife are joining the growing number of people fleeing from California and they plan to return to their U.K. home Welders House in Buckinghamshire. (read more)


(hennemusic) The Red Hot Chili Peppers are streaming a new single, "Poster Child", from their forthcoming album, "Unlimited Love." The song follows the lead track, "Black Summer", as the second preview to the band's 12th studio set, which marks the follow-up to 2016's "The Getaway."

Due April 1, "Unlimited Love" sees the return of guitarist John Frusciante, who rejoined the lineup in 2019 after the outfit parted ways with Josh Klinghoffer. (read more)


(hennemusic) Ace Frehley live-streamed on-stage video of a performance of the 1974 KISS classic, "Parasite", during a March 3 concert at the Patchogue Theatre For The Performing Arts in Patchogue, NY.

The Frehley-written song from KISS' second album, "Hotter Than Hell", was one of three clips the guitarist streamed during the event, including show-opener (according to setlist.fm.) "Rip It Out" - from the rocker's self-titled 1978 debut - and his extended guitar solo. (read more)


Placebo have shared a visualizer video for their new single "Happy Birthday In The Sky". The song comes from their forthcoming album, "Never Let Me Go", which is hitting stores on March 25th.

Brian Molko had this to say about the track, "'Happy Birthday In The Sky' for me, is one of the more heartbreaking moments on the album. Happy birthday In the sky is a phrase that I've been using for quite some time. (read more)


Queen are concluding their retrospective online video series The Greatest with a two-part look back at Queen + Adam Lambert and have shared the first part of the final episode. We were sent the following details:

Adam, Brian and Roger discuss their "brilliant, symbiotic relationship" and are seen in defining performances on their Asia Tour 2014 which saw a memory making return to Japan for Queen, and on their 2016 European Festivals tour highlighting a stand out Isle of Wight Festival performance of "Who Wants To Live Forever" that took even Roger and Brian by surprise.

When the response to their first forays on stage together in 2012 proved that the desire to see Queen music performed live was as strong as ever, Queen + Adam Lambert embarked on a series of tours that encompassed every continent. (read more)


Modern Drummer has announced Maxx Rinkus as the first-ever winner of the Neil Pearl Spirit Of Drumming Scholarship. In collaboration with Neil's wife Carrie Nuttall-Peart and Modern Drummer magazine, the honor provides Rinkus with 52 weeks of drum lessons from world-class drum instructor Dom Famularo, along with a 1 year subscription to Modern Drummer All Access, plus a selection of classic Rush album releases from Universal Music Enterprises.

Eligible recipients of the scholarship - in memory of Neil, with the support of his family - are defined as someone who is between the ages of 14 and 21, is not a professional musician, and is not a party to any sponsorship or entertainment contract that, in Modern Drummer's judgment, conflicts with the spirit of the scholarship. The Hellacopters have released a music video for their brand new single "So Sorry I Could Die". The track comes from their forthcoming album, "Eyes Of Oblivion," which will be released on April 1st.

Nicke Andersson had this to say about the new album that he co-produced with Chips Kisbye, "The album has 10 songs and although it's obviously not easy to be objective at all, I think musically it sums up everything we've touched upon from the start in 1994 up until now. (read more)


(hennemusic) Deep Purple have released video footage of a rehearsal performance for German television of the 1966 Arthur Lee and Love track, "7 and 7 Is", which appears on their latest album, "Turning To Crime."

"This is a previously unreleased version, recorded in November 2021 during a promotional and press tour of Germany for the latest album," says the band. "The recording is a testimony of the first auspicious meeting after almost two years apart, with the band finally playing live again in the same room. (read more)

Ivy Ryann just released her new album, "A Nonaggressive Extreme Violation of Boundaries," and to celebrate we asked her to tell us about the song "The Show." Here is the story:

A lot of people ask me how long it takes me to write a song or what the average time I spend on a song is. I never really know how to answer that question because I have songs that took me years to drag across the finish line and others that just poured out in a matter of hours or days. "The Show" was one of those songs that poured out in a day. Or at least I had all of the chords and lyrics written, and I was automatically happy with it. For me, that's pretty rare. (continue)
