Former Pantera bassist Rex Brown revealed in a new interview that he just recorded an album with Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner, but he is not sure when the record will be released.

Brown shared the news during an interview with Tone-Talk after he was asked if he has an guitarists that he would still like to work with. He responded, "I did a record, it's not out yet, I did it with Richie Faulkner." (read more)


Slipknot have announced that Wage War has been tapped to replace Jinjer on the first leg of their Knotfest Roadshow Tour due to the current situation in Jinjer's home country of Ukraine.

Jinjer's Eugene Abdukhanov had this to say, "Thank you all for your concerned messages and prayers sent to us over the last week, we may not answer but we are reading them and they mean the world to us. (read more)


A Perfect Circle/Ashes Divide star Billy Howerdel has shared a brand new solo track called "Poison Flowers". The song comes from his forthcoming, as-of-yet unannounced debut solo album.

Billy self-produced the song and handled all instruments on the track with the exception of drums, which was handled by former bandmate Josh Freese (Guns N' Roses/A Perfect Circle). (read more)


(hennemusic) Jack White is sharing audio of "Queen Of The Bees", from his forthcoming album, "Entering Heaven Alive." The song follows "Taking Me Back (Gently)" and "Love Is Selfish" as the third track issued from the project, which will be released on July 22.

"Queen Of The Bees" also serves as the b-side to the newly-released single, "Hi-De-Ho" - featuring acclaimed artist and producer Q-Tip - from the upcoming "Fear Of The Dawn" album. (read more)


Leader Of Down have released a music video for their brand new single "Hitman" and both the song the visual feature a guest appearance from former Iron Maiden guitarist Dennis Stratton.

Dennis, who performed on Iron Maiden's debut album, had this to say, "It was a great pleasure to be asked to provide a solo for 'Hitman' and having guested on stage with Leader of Down on a recent UK show it was great to be back with the boys and appear in the video as well." (read more)


(hennemusic) The Jimi Hendrix estate is streaming audio of a 1968 concert in Fort Worth, TX. The live recording captures the The Jimi Hendrix Experience at the city's Will Rogers Auditorium on February 17 as the trio delivered a 9-song performance - opening with a cover of the title track to The Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" album, and closing with a version of The Troggs' 1966 hit, "Wild Thing."

The show took place a month after the group released their second studio album, "Axis: Bold As Love", which was a Top 5 set in both the UK and the US, where it sold more than a million copies. (read more)


Texas rockers Blacktop Mojo has released a live video of an unplugged performance of their cover of The Temptation's classic "My Girl", following the release of the cover as a single on Valentine's Day.

The Michael Schenker Group have announced that they will be releasing their new studio album, entitled "Universal", on May 27th via Atomic Fire Records.

Schenker is joined on the record by vocalist, Ronnie Romero (Rainbow, Vandenberg), who will also be MSG's frontman on their upcoming tour, Michael Kiske (Helloween), and Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear), keyboard player Steve Mann (Lionheart), drummers Simon Phillips (Toto, The Who), Brian Tichy (Whitesnake, Foreigner), Bobby Rondinelli (Rainbow), and Bodo Schopf (Eloy), as well as legendary bassists Bob Daisley (Black Sabbath), Barry Sparks (Yngwie Malmsteen, Dokken), and Barend Courbois (Blind Guardian, Zakk Wylde), with Tony Carey as a very special guest. Gwar have announced that they will be launching the first leg of their The Black Death Rager World Tour in North America this spring that will feature support from Crowbar, The Native Howl and Nekrogoblikon.

The tour is set to kick off on May 19th in Ft. Wayne, IN at Piere's and will wrap up on June 17th in Reading, PA at Reverb. Crowbar will not appear on the first date and also the May 20th show in : St. Louis, as well as the May 21st stop in Wichita, KS. (read more)


Los Angeles hard rockers Lions At The Gate have released a Vicente Cordero directed music video for their just released single, which is entitled "Bed Of Nails"

Frontman Cristian Machado had this to say, "'Bed Of Nails' is a song that was brought in by Diego, a string of riffs that told a story. Kile pushed the dynamics of the song into extremes by surrounding Diego's riffs with ghostly verses. Ahrue and Steve rounded off some of the parts and the bridge of the song. (read more)


Band of Horses have surpassed one billion streams on Pandora and last week, the band was presented with a Pandora Billionaire Plaque to commemorate the milestone.

Band of Horses' music can now be heard on Pandora's Alternative Billionaires station, along with other alternative and indie artists who have garnered more than a billion streams on Pandora, including Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Beastie Boys, Machine Gun Kelly, Lana Del Ray, and others. (read more)


Uncured have released their brand new single "We Are The Antidote." The track comes from their forthcoming album, "Living Like I'm Dead", which will be hitting stores on March 18th.

"'We Are the Antidote' is a song about emotional release and self-empowerment," says vocalist/guitarist Rex Cox while, his brother Zak, who also shares vocal/guitar duties, adds, "the song was written in the depths of the 2020/21 COVID pandemic. Chase Rice has revealed that he has transformed his rural farm home outside Nashville, Tennessee into a recording to studio and is working on his forthcoming album.

The Agonist have shared their reaction to the announcement that their latest record "Days Before the World Wept" has been nominated for the "Metal/Hard Rock Album of the Year" at this year's Juno Awards.
