"Up is down, day is night - not what it seems! Like Alice in Wonderland, stuck in-between" sings Jann Klose on the chorus of his new single "Sugar My", from his upcoming 7th studio album, 'Surrender', to be released on Honey Rose Records. The song, a commentary on the sometimes baffling and inexplicable state of the world today, is a cinematic pop gem co-written with hit songwriter Alex Forbes (Chic/Nile Rodgers, Taylor Dayne). The Red Hot Chili Peppers are celebrating the release of their brand new album, "Unlimited Love", by sharing a music video for their new single "These Are The Ways".

The band had this to say about the new album, "Our only goal is to get lost in the music. We (John, Anthony, Chad and Flea) spent thousands of hours, collectively and individually, honing our craft and showing up for one another, to make the best album we could. (read more)


Queen legend Roger Taylor has dedicated his OBE (Order Of The British Empire award) to late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who passed away last week at the age of 50.

The band shared this comment from Roger, "My whole family and his whole family were very close. He was, my wife, called him, sunshine in human form. He was the most wonderful man and I can't quite believe that I'm not going to see him again." (read more)


Dead & Company have announced that they will be returning to the road this summer when they will be launching a tour of U.S. venues including some stadiums.

This trek marks the seventh tour from Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, John Mayer, and Bob Weir, with Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti since they formed together as Dead & Company back in 2015. (read more)

(hennemusic) A four-part series of films, "My Life as a Rolling Stone", is the centerpiece to a newly-announced summer season of BBC programming that will celebrate the 60th anniversary of The Rolling Stones.

Each of the films in the series presents an intimate portrait of band members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts, mixing new interviews with archived sessions and performances and thoughts from fellow artists who've been inspired by the band, including P.P. Arnold, Chrissie Hynde, Slash, Rod Stewart, Tina Turner and Steven Tyler. (read more)


(hennemusic) The Sex Pistols' limited-edition FX series, "Pistol", will premiere on Hulu on May 31st. Directed by Danny Boyle - the Academy Award-winning director of "Trainspotting" and "Slumdog Millionaire" - the biopic is based on a 2017 memoir by guitarist Steve Jones entitled "Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol."

The project stars Toby Wallace as Jones, Anson Boon as Johnny Rotten, Louis Partridge as Sid Vicious, Jacob Slater as Paul Cook, and Christian Lees as Glen Matlock, with Thomas Brodie-Sangster (The Queen's Gambit) portraying manager Malcolm McLaren and Talulah Riley (Westworld) playing punk design icon Vivienne Westwood. (hennemusic) Former Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman is suing the band over what he claims are unpaid royalties, among other things.

According to Rolling Stone, Gorman filed a lawsuit against Chris and Rich Robinson and "The Black Crowes Partnership" on Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court in an effort to audit the partnership's records. (read more)


The Juliana Theory have premiered a music video for their brand new single "Playback '99 (Burn the Cassette Deck)", which comes from their forthcoming EP 'Still The Same Kids' Pt.1 (out May 6th).

Frontman Brett Detar had this to say, "At a crossroads somewhere in the desert two diverging roads meet. One sand covered street is paved with a sweet nostalgia and the other is the asphalt of accepting a current moment and the speed at which everything seems to fly by on it. (read more)


Boston rockers Perenna recently released their new album "Muses" and to celebrate we asked them to tell us about one of the tracks, and they selected "Murals". Here is the story:

Seth had the groundwork for "Flicker" before joining Perenna. While shopping the song, the group felt it could be split into two distinct songs with related, but separate themes. The off-shoot of the "Flicker" working session would later on develop into "Murals." (continue)
