The surviving members of Linkin Park are staying in touch, but co-vocalist Mike Shinoda says that the group has no plans "in the pipeline" for the band.

He shared the update in a Twitch stream. He said (via Metal Injections), "The only Linkin Park news I have for you is that... Yeah, we talk every few weeks - I talk to the guys, or some of the guys. (read more)


Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted said in a new interview that his group The Chophouse Band will be entering the studio early next month to begin recording their debut album.

Newsted shared the news during a chat with Palm Beach, Fl rock radio station 98.7 The Gater ahead of the group's performacne this past Saturday (April 23rd) at a benefit for the Goldner Conservatory at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre in Jupiter, FL. (read more)


Black Label Society have released a music video for their latest single, "You Made Me Want To Live". The track comes from the band's latest studio album, "Doom Crew Inc."

Alexisonfire have shared their brand new song "Reverse The Curse". The track is the second take the band has shared from "Otherness", their first full-length album in over 13 years, which hits stores on June 24th.

George Pettit had this to say about the song, "Some riffs stick around for a while until they make sense. 'Reverse The Curse' has existed in one form or another since Crisis. (read more)


Venom Inc. have released a lyric video for their brand new single "How Many Can Die" to celebrate the announcement that they will be releasing their sophomore album. "There's Only Black", on September 23rd.

The band features the revitalized 1989-1992 Venom line-up of guitarist Jeff "Mantas" Dunn and vocalist/bassist Tony "Demolition Man" Dolan and the new addition of drummer Jeramie 'Warmachine' Kling. (read more)


Switchfoot have shared a visualizer for a brand new remix of "i need you (to be wrong)" by the Los Angeles-based indie-pop group, lovelytheband.

The original version of the track was released as the lead single from Switchfoot's 2021 album interrobang. The band had this to say about the remix, "This was almost a remix in reverse: taking a dissonant idiosyncratic single and making it sweet. Lovelytheband did a great job - loved hearing their take on this one!" (read more)


Goatwhore have announced that they are teaming up with Incantation this summer to launch their coheadlining The Vile Ascension Tour.

The U.S. trek is set to kick off on August 1st in Orlando, Fl and will wrap up on August 27th in New Orleans and will feature support from Bewitcher and Caveman Cult (through Aug 13th). (read more)


Waxflower have shared their brand new single "Misaligned Love", which features Sydney Sprague, and comes from their forthcoming sophomore EP, "The Sound Of What Went Wrong" (out April 29th).

Gypsy Pistoleros will release a brand new single The Good, The Mad & The Beautiful in October 2022. Recorded, mixed and produced by fast-rising legend Dave Draper (The Wildhearts, Kerbdog, Terrorvision, The Professionals) at The Old Cider Press Studios, Pershore. Draper is also set to record the new album Duende a Go Go Go! in November 2022.

The new material promises to be edgier, punkier and heavier side of Gypsy Pistoleros, whilst retaining the Flamenco Rumba heart and fully embracing their fiery flamenco/rumba passion, with their distinctive crossover of punk rock 'n' roll leanings! (read more)


Montreal-based pop punk band Blurry Eyes have just released their new single, "Quicksand," which was inspired by a little bout of depression that was felt during lockdown - where you feel stuck in quicksand, nothing moves, nothing changes, and everything feels heavy.

With this song, Blurry Eyes hopes to reach out to others to let them know that no one is going through hard times alone, and that there are people out there who will support you. (read more)


Nashville power-pop group The Dreaded Laramie have released a music video for their brand new single "Where Do The Hardcore Kids Go?", which comes from their upcoming sophomore EP "Everything A Girl Could Ask".

The band had this to say, "We're excited to premiere the video for the EP's closing track, 'Where Do the Hardcore Kids Go?' (The song and video) is a tribute to three things that are crucial to our band's existence: the DIY-band ethic, indulgent guitar music, and jokes." (read more)


Ottawa based award-winning singer-songwriter Lynne Hanson just released her new album "Ice Cream in November," and to celebrate we have asked her to tell us about the record's title track. Here is the story:

The making of my latest album has been a completely new process for me, from the writing of the songs right down to the recording of them. To start with, I actually had some pretty serious writer's block from March to December 2020. I had just started touring my album, "Just Words," when the pandemic hit, and the resulting cancellations and shutting down of live performance meant I had to really change direction quickly to adapt. The last thing I felt like doing was sitting down and writing songs. (continue)
