(hennemusic) Sammy Hagar has expanded his ongoing Las Vegas residency with the addition of a pair of summer dates. Billed as "Sammy Hagar and Friends", the singer recently wrapped up the spring portion of his series in the city, and will return for more shows.

"Back by Readhead demand, Sammy's Vegas residency is coming back to The Strat Las Vegas for a summer celebration 4th of July weekend, July 1 & 2!," says Hagar's team. "The Red Rocker is bringing the Cabo experience back to Vegas, and this time with special guests, The Wabos for two shows only!" (read more)


(hennemusic) Pasadena, CA is paying tribute to hometown heroes Van Halen 50 years after the band formed in the California city. Construction on the park is expected to be completed this summer.

According to ABC7 Los Angeles, Pasadena city officials have approved naming a public performance stage in a new park after the group, which was formed in 1972 by local legends and brothers Alex and Eddie Van Halen. (read more)


Korn announces a summer tour with fellow rock culture icons Evanescence, produced by Live Nation. Accompanied by special guests varying across select dates, the 18-city tour kicks off on August 16th at Ball Arena in Denver, CO making stops across the U.S. in Boston, Chicago, Houston and more before wrapping up in Ridgefield, WA on September 16th.

"We're looking forward to going on tour this summer and bringing our friends, Evanescence, out," said Jonathan Davis of Korn. "Whenever Amy comes to one of our shows, I always love seeing her on the side of the stage watching the whole set and rocking out. We're gonna have a great time on this tour, and we can't wait to see you there." (read more)


(hennemusic) Clutch are premiering a video for their new single, "Red Alert (Boss Metal Zone)."

Clutch debuted the song - and others - during the 2021 fall leg of their 30 Years of Rock & Roll US Tour and it is expected to appear on the group's forthcoming album, which they completed late last year. (read more)


Everclear is celebrating 30 years as a band in 2022 and to mark this major milestone, the quartet -- led by vocalist, guitarist and founder Art Alexakis -- has announced a 25** date North American 30th Anniversary Tour featuring special guests Fastball and The Nixons.

The setlist for this year's tour dates will run the gamut of Everclear's career including songs from their currently out-of-print full-length debut, 1993's World of Noise, which the band has announced will be remastered and made available for the first time on all digital music streaming platforms on Friday, June 10th. (hennemusic) The Sex Pistols will release a new compilation next month in sync with the Hulu premiere of the limited-edition FX series, "Pistol." Due May 27, "Sex Pistols: The Original Recordings" delivers 20 of the band's songs from their original headline-making era: 1976 to 1978.

The package includes essential tracks from their lone studio album, 1977's "Never Mind The Bollocks...Here's The Sex Pistols", and features key singles "Anarchy In The UK," "God Save The Queen," "Pretty Vacant" and "Holidays In The Sun," further originals and covers from "The Great Rock & Roll Swindle" soundtrack album, and some essential B- sides in "I Wanna Be Me" (the flipside of "Anarchy..."), "Satellite" (the b-side of "Holidays In The Sun") and "Did You No Wrong" (from "God Save The Queen"). (hennemusic) The Red Hot Chili Peppers are streaming their new album, "Unlimited Love", in sync with its release on April 1. Produced by Rick Rubin, the band's twelfth studio set marks the follow-up to 2016's "The Getaway", which was a Top 3 album in more than twenty counties, including the US, where it peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

"Unlimited Love" was launched with the lead single, "Black Summer", and previewed with follow-up tracks "Poster Child", "Not The One", and "These Are The Ways" ahead of its full release. (read more)


Psychedelic rocker Jussi Vuola recently released the first single from his solo project VUOLA's upcoming debut album, "Alouv", and to celebrate we asked him to tell us about the track, which is entitled "Under Above Orion Venus Loves". Here is the story:

I was writing music for my solo debut album in the summer of 2021 and I had already booked the studio for recording in mid-August. I had most of the album composed, but this particular song had only the verse and pre-chorus parts done. The song had some very meaningful lyrics already as I was going to dedicate this song to my partner in life. It was going to be THE love song on the album so it needed to become big and powerful - like a love song should. (continue)
