The String Revolution have teamed up with Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens for a special cover of Ozzy Osborne's classic hit, "Crazy Train", as a tribute to Randy Rhoads.

"Randy's former bandmate Rudy Sarzo (Ozzy Osbourne, Quiet Riot, Whitesnake) had this to say about this new version, "First time I heard Randy Rhoads play classical guitar was while we were both teaching at his family's music school, Musonia, during breaks between students. (read more)


Black Label Society frontman and former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde is launching a new podcast called The Wylde Goose Show with John "JD" DeServio (a.k.a. Goose).

Zakk had this to say about the new venture, "This is a podcast with no nutritional value. It's just the two of us shooting the sh*t and waxing poetically about nothing. (read more)


The Black Keys have announced that they will be hitting the road this summer for their North American Dropout Boogie Tour, with tickets going on sale the general public this Friday, February 4th at 10am local time.

The trek is set to kick off on July 9th in Las Vegas, NV at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will wrap up on October 18th in Dallas, TX at the Dos Equis Pavilion. (read more)


Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have announced that they have added three new shows to their upcoming North American tour in support of their "Carnage" album.

The new shows include March 10th at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, March 16th at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, and March 29th at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C. (read more)


Amoth have released a music video for their new single "Alice", which the band says features a riff that Alice Cooper showed guitarist Tomi Ihanamaki in a dream.

They shared the video to celebrate the release of their new album, "The Hour of The Wolf". Tomi had this to say about the song, "The verse riff of this song was shown to me by Alice Cooper in my dream! (read more)


The 45th anniversary of Fleetwood Mac's blockbuster "Rumours" album is being celebrated by the syndicated radio show In The Studio With Redbeard: The Stories Behind History's Greatest Rock Bands.

Redbeard had this to say about the special episode, "When assembling your album shortlist for that Seventies time capsule, better reserve space for the February 1977 release Rumours by Fleetwood Mac. And you can measure its merit any way you choose: quality of songs, sheer number of quality songs, stellar sound production, musicianship, awards, sales. The Moody Blues legend John Lodge has just released a limited edition 180g blue vinyl version of his new live album, "The Royal Affair and After".

The record was also just released digitally and on CD on January 14th and the standard 180g black vinyl edition is set to be released on February 11th. (read more)


Colin Hay has premiered his brand new single "Now And The Evermore," which features a guest appearance from Ringo Starr on drums and is the title track to his forthcoming album.

Swedish rockers The Crown have announced that founding member and bass player Magnus Olsfelt has amicably parted ways with the band after being a member for 32 years.

They had this to say, "We are very sorry to inform you that our bass player, one of the founding members of The Crown, Magnus Olsfelt has decided to leave the band. (read more)


South Carolina rockers Lovely World have announced that their brand new single, "Cigarette," will premiere on Nights with Alice Cooper on Friday Feb 4th.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Landon Rojas had this to say about the forthcoming track, "Cigarette is a fictionalized story about the cycle of sexual abuse. (read more)


Jimmie Allen is gearing up to launch his very first headline tour this coming Thursday (February 3rd), and has recently announced additional dates for the trek and added Madeline Merlo and Chayce Beckham as support acts.

Allen will be kicking off the Down Home Tour on February 3rd in West Hollywood, CA at the famed Troubadour and the trek will conclude on May 21st in Ft. Worth, TX at Billy Bob's Texas. (read more)


Wayfarer have announced that they will be hitting the road this spring for their Death Rides West Tour in support of their 2020 album, "A Romance With Violence".

The 11-date tour is set to kick off on April 1st in Denton, TX at Rubber Gloves and will be wrapping up on April 15th in Salt Lake City, UT at Diabolical. (read more)

The acclaimed Queen tribute band Killer Queen have announced that they will be hitting the road this spring for a tour that will visit several cities across the U.S.

The tour is set to get underway on March 4th in New York City at the Palladium Times Square and will wrap up on April 9th in Warren, Michigan at the Andiamo Celebrity Show Room. (read more)


CB30 have released a lyric video for their new song "Don't Say Goodnight", which was written by CB30's Christian Clementi, Trannie Anderson, and Dallas Wilson.

Aethereus just released their sophomore album, "Leiden", and to celebrate we asked guitarist/vocalist Kyle Chapman to tell us about the writing and recording of the song "Upon Infinite Seas". Here is the story:

"Leiden" is structured to begin more conventionally melodic and progressively become more dissonant. With "Upon Infinite Seas" being the final track, it needed to represent the most extreme end of that spectrum without devolving into complete nonsense. This posed a major challenge, resulting in this song becoming an 8-to-9-month passion project for me. There were several points where I wasn't even sure if the song was ever going to see the light of day, let alone actually end up making it on the album. (continue)
